Solo Hammock & Tarp Wild Camping in Winter 🌲 Evergreens Camp

Hi you guys, I'm here in this beautiful little evergreen forest and I'm going to have myself a lovely little hammock camp. Let's make some magic happen. How lovely is that? Let me show you around. My tarp up here is a DD Superlight. I've got this in a diamond formation, that's just because of the space that I've got around the tarp. It just fit better. I'm not expecting any torrential downpours today but if it does rain it'll keep me nice and dry, so absolutely loving that. I've got the back corner tilted down a bit for some sort of protection from the wind and this corner lifted nice and high, tied off to a tree over there, just so I've got a really lovely view of everything that's going on. My hammock here is a DD Frontline Superlight. I've actually got this upside down, so I've got the bottom side up. That's because this comes with a bug net that you can't detach and with it being winter I don't want to use the bug net, it'll just sort of get in the way. I want to just be out in the open today, so I've flipped it upside down. I've got my DD under blanket underneath as well, so I don't need to use a mat today and that'll keep me nice and warm. And then on the floor I've got my 6x4 ground top, put all my stuff on and somewhere to sit down. I've got my sleeping bag and my pillow sorted out in a hammock, getting all lofted up for later, and I've got my little hiking table today. I used this in the last video, in a Christmas one. Hadn't used it for ages and I just loved having it, it's so useful. Time to get into some warm clothes I think. I've got a home-cooked chilli and rice, hot chocolate, dark chocolate, oh and a little wine glass of course for my wine. I just can't put into words how beautiful tonight is. I've got my twinkly pretty lights and the most beautiful moon, it's just perfect. Let's get some food on. Happy New Year. Guys I got me a little treat. Ah this is a fantastic way to burn holes in all of your down clothing. So what do you guys got planned for 2022? I'm going to be doing my usual I suppose, just making the most of a little bit of time that I have, doing things that make my heart glad because that's what it's all about. And according to my thermometer it's 11 degrees at the moment so it's really mild but there is a bit of a breeze going through now which is making it feel a bit chillier than it actually is I think. This has got to be the comfiest hammock set up I've done so far. I think I'm getting the knack of it. I've just been using my macro lens on my camera to take some crazy footage of all the bugs wandering around. It's so weird when you look at the forest floor you just see leaves and branches and stuff but if you look closely it's absolutely teeming with life, it's just everywhere. It's still quite dark, it's half seven in the morning. I've slept for eight hours, so amazing. I'm so comfy. I'm just gonna stay here for a bit and chill. I love it. Morning guys. I have absolutely loved this camp so much. I just feel like it's been so restorative and relaxing. It's been one of my favourites actually and it's been so comfy. It's my third time using the hammock and I feel like I'm getting used to it a bit now, like setting it up and starting to know sort of what I'm doing. This has definitely been my best hammock experience so far and I loved turning it upside down and using it without the bug net. That was lovely, just not having anything in front of your face at all, just being out in the open air. Yeah, I'm gonna get packed up in a minute. I will see you guys in 2022. I hope if you're just getting started with this stuff you will have the confidence to give it a try, get out there and start living your dreams, no matter how big or how small. It really doesn't matter if it's crazy long trips or a little local overnight in the woods, just make it happen and have an amazing time.
