If you want to speak English more naturally, this is the perfect place to practice.
In this 1-hour English shadowing practice, you'll repeat real-life English conversations to improve your speaking, pronunciation, listening, rhythm, and fluency. Shadowing is one of the most effective ways to sound more like a native speaker because you're training your brain to think and speak in English at the same time.
This lesson is perfect for A2, B1, and B2 English learners who want to build confidence and improve their speaking through daily practice.

If you want to sound more natural in English,
don't just study English, shadow it.
Welcome to this shadowing practice compilation.
In this video, we're going to practice from beginning to end
using real English.
If you've never tried shadowing before,
then don't worry.
It's one of the best ways to improve your pronunciation,
your listening, and your confidence all at the same time.
Here's how it works.
I'll say a sentence first,
then you repeat, not just the words,
but also the pronunciation, the rhythm,
the pauses, the emotion.
The more you imitate native speech,
the more natural your English will become.
So if you can, stay until the end.
Your English is going to feel more automatic
every time you practice.
And remember, you don't become fluent by knowing English.
You become fluent by using it.
So find a comfortable place and let's start shadowing together.
Hello. How are you?
I'm a little tired.
I didn't sleep much last night.
The upstairs neighbor had loud music playing all night long.
Yes, he had company.
I know. Who has a party on a Tuesday night?
Seriously, the music was so loud.
It was so disrespectful.
No, I was too tired to do anything about it.
I put a pillow over my head and I tried to fall asleep.
I know. I really need my sleep.
I get crabby when I don't.
Yeah, I think I will. I have to.
Hopefully tonight will be quiet.
Anyways, how was your weekend?
No way. You have loud neighbors too?
Nice. Where did you go?
That sounds fun.
Was it crowded?
Good. I hate it when it's packed.
What did you guys do there?
Sounds nice.
What did you bring along for the picnic?
I love that. Simple but perfect.
Was the weather nice?
Lucky you. It was freezing last night.
I opened the window to get fresh air and a break from the noise upstairs.
Not really, but at least I tried.
Exactly. So, did you stay out late at the beach?
Not too late. That's responsible.
Good thinking. Mondays can be rough.
Did you take any pictures?
Send them to me so I can see.
I'm so jealous. I love sunsets.
I know. I should. I will.
Exactly. No more loud neighbors for us.
Honestly, weekends go by so fast.
It does. But at least you had a good time.
That's what matters.
So, what are you going to do next weekend?
Oh, nice. Are you going to stay long?
That sounds lovely. Are you going to drive there?
Smart choice. Are you going to do anything special with them?
Remember, native speakers say gonna instead of going to.
Gonna. What are you gonna have for dinner?
Nice. Sounds lovely. Home cooked?
Even better. Are you going to relax too?
Good idea. I need to relax too after the whole loud neighbor situation.
Are you going to see any friends while you're there?
Nice. It's always good to catch up with friends.
How long has it been since you saw them last?
It's hard to find time to see friends.
I agree. I love weekends like that. Simple and calm.
I'm probably staying home next weekend.
I need to stay home and organize my life.
And be productive. I've been slacking lately.
Exactly. I procrastinate a lot.
I know. Not very exciting, but necessary.
I'm also going to meal prep for the week, which sounds boring.
But to me, it's very exciting.
I'm trying to be better this year.
Yeah, it'll be a productive weekend.
Fingers crossed.
Hi. How are you doing today?
I'm doing fine myself. Thank you.
What can I get for you?

Sure thing. Small or large?

No problem. Would you like everything on it?
It comes with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, and ketchup.
You got it. No onions.
Anything else? Is this for here or to go?
Perfect. Your total is $14.85.

But it's completely optional.
Thank you. We appreciate it.
Would you like any sauces with that?
We have ketchup, ranch, barbecue, or honey mustard.
Sure thing. Ranch and barbecue.
Anything else? No problem at all.
I'll switch that to a large Sprite bag.
Of course. Alright.

I'll refund one of them.
No problem at all.
Sorry for the confusion.
Maybe you prefer self-checkout.
That happens sometimes.
Let me clear it for you.
You didn't do anything wrong.
It's just glitchy.
Glitchy is something that easily glitches.
Do you know what glitch means?
All right. You're all set.
Have a great day.

You might have a mild infection.
