Hello Legion, this is Hadrian. Thank you for being here.
Let's play some more Sid Meier's
Civilization VI in our Glory of Rome series.
We are pushing into France's territory and it is one
hell of a slog right now
because the next city she is defending is really putting up a lot of
a fight, like something of a fight.
And people have been saying, you know, break up your forces,
break up your forces. Oh, I intend to,
but I think given the way this fight has been going,
it ought to be pretty clear. No, Alexander.
It ought to be pretty clear why I'm not breaking
them up yet. Like it's taken every unit that I've had
to surround this city and wear it down to the
point where it's not killing all of my units.
Thankfully, I didn't lose a lot of powerful units
last episode because I was careful.
I was so careful that we spent the entire episode just
kind of whittling away at this city. It is what it is.
But this next turn, this next moment,
actually, we should be taking it, I would imagine.
Yep, I can take it with my level four. I might
even be able to take it with one of my lesser legions.
Let's see. I might prefer that. Let's
see. If I hit it with the pikemen, that might level them up.
Let's just see what kind of
experience I can get for my units here.
I can take it with this pikeman and definitely get
experience. Let's see if I can level this legion up,
and then we're gonna have this one heal in
place. All right, that should
be the end of Frankfurt-sur-Loderre.
Good. That seems like
it might be able to have a better name,
but this is definitely in territory that Rome never owned
before, so let's call it... there wouldn't have
been a Roman city name for this. Frankfurtium.
Not the most Latin thing in the world,
but we're gonna go with it. And then we're gonna keep the
the city, of course, and start firing on the very next target,
while also moving some of our other
units that are a little bit more beleaguered into safety.
All right, so that's good. That last
episode was quite a slog, and now we can keep momentum going
in the other direction. Let me go
ahead and buy another catapult here,
because we've lost a few, and we're going to start heading
towards Hanover in all directions, pretty much.
And a pawns needs... ooh, we have room for more
traders, don't we? You know what?
Let's go ahead... can I purchase one? 280 gold. Yeah, see, I need
to save that gold for my musketman promotions,
which I should have pretty soon. We're also going
to start making more gold per turn regardless
because we're going to have access to a lot more
buildings that's good news but yeah go ahead
and just do a builder because we need to keep cranking
those out and then eicosium hmm we do need a spy let's go ahead
and start building that there
cathedral and then what yeah let's go ahead
and purchase anything
that'll help this city
fix itself back up city has medieval walls right
or it's saying it doesn't i guess i'll go ahead
and buy those with faith then buy the monuments
so i have a little bit of extra culture per turn
Never a problem. And then I suppose I will repair the granary.
We're gonna need peace with France before all
of these cities become truly functional, as we've seen in the past, but
we're moving in the right direction.
Let's go ahead and move this Legion up there.
Go ahead and have them build a fort, sure.
That way they're fortified. And they fortify at the same time.
Oh, that's cool! I didn't know they did that.
I haven't built that many forts with legions in
Civ VI, which is ironic,
considering how much I play as Rome,
especially played as Rome in the beginning, but it's true. I haven't.
Alright, let's see, this catapult needs to move there,
this one can move there,
we just need to get all of our units here, and in motion.
Still need to have some of them heal up before they join
the advance, but they're on the way.
Okay, what have we got here? We can improve fish here,
it's going to take a few turns for them to get there.
We could also, there's some tiles that could help
with production, so let's do that.
Icosium needs just better production in general.
And let's go to the next turn.
I'm trying to move through this as rapidly as I can,
especially now that we have Frankfurt.
I would hope to take Hanover this episode.
We'll see.
There's not as many woods in the area,
so it's easier to move units in and position units.
We can separate our army and go for
Odense and Hanover at the same time.
That's what I'm going to try and do,
but we need to eliminate this encampment as a concern before anything,
because that's going to slow the advance down into the area.
So this is priority target number one,
and they're already starting to fire on me a little bit.
Ah, Russia's unhappy. Big surprise.
All right, so they might declare war on me,
and that would be inconvenient.
That would be the height of inconvenience,
actually, but we'll see what they do.
If you owe the bank $100, that's your problem.
If you owe the bank $100 million, that's the bank's problem.
Okay, Massalia.
I could build medieval walls here, but I don't know that I need to.
I could buy them with faith.
I could buy a lot of things with faith, actually.
I also just need to build something in general.
Why don't I go ahead and build up that trader again.
It's gonna be done in three turns, and I can send it to Mediolanum,
just to ensure we get that wonder.
And it looks like... Oh, excellent.
Athens is ready for its next district.
Interesting. Let's see. Should I go into a harbor in Athens?
Yeah, let's do that.
Extra production there.
That needs to be a rapidly growing city as much as we can make it one.
Let's move that legion there.
Move this catapult here into the fort, which is perfect.
And it should... No, it shouldn't actually be able to,
because there's a river and woods in between.
So it won't be able to fire on the encampment,
but it's getting in position to be able to, so...
Step in the right direction.
They've got a knight here, so I am going to...
Where's my other pikemen? It's up here.
I need to fortify these guys until they're really ready to go.
This legion needs to heal.
Let's move them back one turn.
Let's move you here.
Let's have you fire.
Let's move you here.
Move you there.
And also that catapult still needs to move a little farther as well.
Actually, one thing I could do to really put some pressure on them...
Let's move this knight up there.
This would put this catapult in danger,
and they might be able to kill it,
but that'll force them to focus on that catapult,
and I've got some other units moving into place.
So a little bit of a gamble, a little bit of a sacrifice,
but I think it'll pay off.
And we also have this crossbowman
that I need to move into position.
Let's put them there.
Yep, you heal up.
That's fine.
You guys, well, you won't be able to fortify this turn,
but you will soon.
And then this pikeman is ready to move back into the fray.
And we're going to, yeah,
we're going to send these workers over here
to improve these tiles,
get some more production for Icosium.
Skip that turn.
So the settler is generally the last thing.
Oh, just kidding.
I just jinxed myself.
The settler is not the last thing
that we're landing on each turn.
Move that Knight there and have them fortified till healed.
So we've got some healing to do, but all right
Let's see this catapult.
Oh, they didn't they focused on the Knights instead dumb move now
I can fire on you. You're gonna surely you're gonna fire
on the catapult with these guys though. There we go
That's what I expected you to do the first time Wow
catapult actually did a fair amount of damage. Oh
Hello, so they're attacking the other catapult unit down here
But they didn't do too much damage
and they're actually gonna the fort is helping out a good deal
So I might be able to move my crossbowmen
into position to deal with some of this.
Nice. Promotion available for this catapult,
so we'll definitely be able to give them
the combat strength when defending bonus.
And yes, those knights are in range of Odense.
So a little bit more intensity now that we
are in range of so many cities at once.
We are wearing down her units quickly, though.
So what I'm hoping to do, I might have to...
I might not be able to take all of her territory at once.
I think I mentioned this two episodes ago.
What I might have to do is...
No, Russia.
Take maybe two or three more cities
and then declare peace and kind of stabilize
and then declare war again.
Pretty rapid fire.
Like, I would declare war about as soon as I possibly could, honestly.
Oh, good.
We finally have a great general.
That took forever.
All right, combat strength when defending,
and we can definitely fire with a bunch of these units.
All right, so let's eliminate that one.
That might have been the only one Anipons could fire on.
Yep, it was.
Okay, that's excellent.
We eliminated those knights.
Oh, it's not a great general.
It's actually a great rider.
We could save up faith, technically, to get Napoleon.
We are, ironically, we might beat France to Napoleon.
How amazing would that be?
Let's go ahead and recruit Jane Austen, though,
because that would be good for our culture.
And then, yeah, we need to keep her in Prague, though, because...
Well, no we don't. We can go ahead...
Oh, can she not use her ability this turn?
I guess because it's on hills?
Well, crap, now they can send her back to Prague.
They won't be able to kill her, but that's annoying.
Alright, um...
Good, both of my catapults can fire.
Let's go ahead and do that.
Alright, now before I fire with this unit here...
I want to make sure that I'm doing the best I can.
Let's go ahead and swap these guys,
and then swap these guys.
There we go.
Yeah, I can go ahead and eliminate a few of these if I wanted to.
Have you guys heal up.
I think I need to move these pikemen.
Yes, I do.
Decisions.
Ooh, I can go ahead and eliminate these knights.
Let's do that.
I need to try and get
these crossbowmen into firing range.
Yeah, let's go and eliminate units first.
I want to take away her damage dealing
capacity in the area before I start.
Well, I mean, attacking the encampment does the same thing,
But her units also, if I focus on her units,
it'll give us more war weariness when they die.
Let's have you heal up, and then this scout can go... yeah,
let's have you go over this direction now, please.
Massalia is done with... oh no, this is an existing trader.
You were already trading with Valetta for, it looks like, some gold.
Why don't you... why don't you trade with Carthage?
A little bit more production for you that way,
but similar amount of gold output.
Okay, looks like our Legion corps is ready to go.
That's good news.
I can still move this knight, so that's perfect.
I guess I'll have to move him all the way back there, but that's fine.
Legion Corps, you move here.
Can you attack is the question.
No, you can't.
So they might take some damage next turn, but that's fine.
That unit's going to be promotable to a musketman in a few turns.
We also only have one knight
at the moment, which is kind of annoying.
In all of our territory, we only have one knight.
We might have to trade for some more.
Looks like they have another knight down here in the area,
but our musketman there just...
Wait, we have musketmen defending our cities too?
I mean, I won't complain, but we haven't researched them yet.
I'm sure I've noticed that in Civ before, but every time I see it,
kind of catches me off guard. Okay, good.
This knight is promotable. So this is going well.
We need to, as soon as we take care of this barracks,
we should be able to just sweep across
with a lot of our units and take Hanover pretty quickly.
And in sweeping across, we'll be
positioning units to hit Odin's as well.
So it's just a matter of getting units in the right spot,
maybe some ranged units kind of right here
in this little channel as much as possible. Knight,
yep. Combat strength when defending versus ranged attacks,
reason being obvious. Let's go ahead now
and fire with everything we've got in the area
that is ranged on that encampment and see if we
can take care of it.
Good, I'm seeing some promotions
for ranged units. I can't do anything
with this unit right now.
This legion, if I attack, let's see.
Yeah, let's go ahead and do it. This
encampment is out of the picture.
Wonderful. All right, now we can
just start moving across. Let's
have you heal up. This crossbowman can even join the fight.
For now, I'm going to put them here and
put them on alert, but I'm going to slowly move them up closer
to Hanover so they could fire from
down here. And we'll put this,
we're going to put this pikeman right there as a way of defending
Mediolanum. We've been doing that.
We're 18 turns away from Forbidden City. I really hope we get
that. Rome is ready for its lighthouse.
I don't want to buy it with gold, but we're definitely
going to go ahead and get that started.
Having that harbor in place will be a huge difference
maker. Praga can build a bath district.
Let's go ahead and put one there for amenities. We're
need those entertainment-related buildings as soon as we can get them.
Yeah, we've got a lot of units to move,
but right now a lot of our units are
fortified in place. So let's go ahead
and move this knight down to Praga, have him
heal up. Yeah, you just go on alert,
we'll move you next turn, and then what? Yeah,
all these units. And build a fort there.
That actually might be kind of handy.
Let's do that. Actually, no, that's not...
Oh, crap. I thought that was two tiles
away. It's three tiles away,
so maybe that's not gonna be that useful. And I
can fire on these guys.
Let's get some experience for these crossbowmen before
The sword's been landed to do damage to him.
And then, yeah.
I'm going to leave this catapult there on that fort
until we're definitely ready to move in on Hanover.
And we're going to get...
Hey! Pride and Prejudice.
It jumps from admiration to love,
from love to matrimony in a moment.
One of my favorite books.
Jane Austen is quite a writer.
What I love about it is just the characters.
She makes a particular...
Jane Austen does this not just in Pride and Prejudice,
but in a lot of her writing.
When she knows she can't write
a particular level of dialogue,
like a moment that is so momentous,
she has a tendency to do something a lot of writers
wouldn't do, but I find it interesting, and that is
that she would
describe the dialogue rather than actually
write the dialogue out.
So when she felt like she couldn't capture the words
between those people, she kind of left it to the reader's imagination
and described instead the feelings
of those
characters in that moment, and what they were saying
to one another. It's, you know,
as a writer, it's something that I really appreciate.
All right, France is starting to make more interesting peace deals.
Let's go ahead and keep refusing for now
because I want to take a few more of her cities.
But ideally what I want to try and do is take some of these cities
because these are her largest cities.
She's offering me pretty consistently this city here, which is good.
If I can take maybe these three and then try and get Amsterdam
and Limoges, or however you pronounce it, from a peace deal,
then we can take a break before we fully conquer France.
But we're going to be on the warpath for pretty much the rest
of this series, I imagine, in order to accomplish our objectives.
Okay, let's go ahead and give that catapult Grapeshot.
Now you need to fortify.
We can use this catapult to fire on this knight.
It's not going to be a particularly impressive victory.
Let's go ahead
and do this other great work.
Know your own happiness. You want nothing but patience.
Or give it a more fascinating name. Call it Hope.
That's Sense and Sensibility.
Hmm this one just got promoted
so let's just fortify them up and have them take
some hits because they can.
Let's fortify these guys until they're healed and then
we definitely need to start moving units
forward so I suppose what I'll do is go
ahead and just this this unit definitely needs
to be on the front lines the thing
is that I want to promote them so I
really don't want to move them out of my
territory until these three turns are up
that's why I'm kind of hesitating to
move units forward very rapidly.
Well we'll make do. Oh yeah perfect let's go
ahead and put this catapult there that's
a very very strong ranged unit and then
this Legion is ready to move as well.
Some of these units are still healing up.
Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Fire. Kill.
That's a Barbarian unit, so we won't get
as much experience. We get a little bit more
because the mod that I'm using.
And that was the point of leaving it on,
even though Barbarians are turned
off, of course. But let's see.
Massalia can do what now? We can do another
trader, actually. Let's just keep training traders in
Massalia. And we can do a workshop in Pola.
Let's work on that. Go up here. I
I feel like if I explore up in this direction, I might be more likely
to find some more goodie huts that I haven't explored yet.
So, all right, so let's fire on this knight with everything we can
because he's a threat to our archers right now.
But I want to keep my archer moving forward.
So I'm gonna keep my crossbowman in position.
So excited for Nubia, by the way. That announcement yesterday.
They've got two more civs coming in addition to Nubia,
so I'll be interested to see what else they add.
If there'll be a thematic expansion,
like all civs from the same general area or what.
But let's go ahead and fire on that unit there.
You can keep healing. I want to have all
my units healed up before we move forward completely,
because that'll help pass those three turns that I was talking about.
Yeah, we'll keep you there for now. Keep you...
Yeah, we'll keep you there too, that's fine.
All right, you need to move to Mediolanum.
Again, try and get that Forbidden City done.
Icosium, trade with Rome? Yep, that's Rome question mark.
Still the best trade deal, and moving to turn 233.
I would really like to take care
of this episode, but this has just been...
Once we get Gunpowder, it's going to change.
France definitely is a formidable opponent,
but that's one of the reasons we need to take her out now.
Because then we're going to have the dominant empire in the game,
and pretty much run away with it.
And it'll be easy to kind of take our territory that we want to.
I really look forward in the future
in Civ VI to being able to really...
Who did we lose? Did we just lose a catapult? Or a legion?
Which legion? Okay, for a second I thought we lost our legion core.
We lost the legion that was there.
That's not the worst. We can live with that.
And that actually gives us a spot to move forward.
I don't know why I was keeping them in the encampment.
That wasn't necessarily a good position.
But yeah, I really look forward to a future version of Civ VI where,
and maybe I can just continue tweaking
mods and find a way to make this work,
where you can really have deep ages, the calendar is synced up,
the years make sense, and you're really, really enjoying
a lot of conflict and war and expansion in each era.
That would be amazing to me.
I've talked about it for a long time.
It's not a new idea for regulars of my channel,
but it's something that I would be very happy to see.
Alright, definitely gonna fire with the crossbowman.
Yeah, if I hit him with the knight, actually, no,
I don't want to do that because then that knight will be in range.
So let's just hit him with the catapult there.
It's not gonna kill him, but a little bit more
experience for that catapult. It's never a bad thing.
Seven experience right there, not bad. And then,
yeah, these units need to stay right here.
This catapult's actually about to level up,
which is perfect, because it needs to heal up.
Yeah, I could go ahead and move this archer into place
and start hitting Hanover, but the problem is that,
yeah see this is this is gonna be a little dicey
right that's in range of Odin's where we just put
that unit so I need yeah I'm gonna have to do this come
on finish it off damn all right sometimes a
major victory will finish the unit off
and sometimes the decisive victory as I have lamented
many times will not so I guess I am just gonna have
to start moving units forward I've got to
risk these guys getting hurt to start doing damage
to these cities we can move this catapult forward
too that's useful and that allows us to move
this unit one half move forward you know to a neighboring
Hex. Let's see. I always consider that a half move
because it does get them a little closer.
And then if we move this knight into position,
we'll eliminate that one as a threat and give
Hanover more to shoot at to where the Legion might be in less danger.
Well, they're not going
to be able to fortify this turn, but I'm hoping
because they're so close to a promotion, if they
take a few hits, they'll survive.
That's a little bit of a dicey move that I made there, but we'll
see how it goes. Pella, you just do another builder.
We need lots of builders in that area,
So just keep doing it and I'm gonna move up this direction as I said,
we have a our first builder that we're building here
Let's go ahead and go to lower me though Mediolanum.
I just need production for you
So it looks like Mediolanum did I lose a trade route at some point?
Why is Mediolanum not trading with Rome?
That's interesting. Maybe I can do two trade routes
from city to city at this point. Did that get added?
Oh Mediolanum is trading with
Origin, I don't know what I'm changing here.
This is interesting. I haven't messed
with these just yet routes to my cities
available routes. Oh, cool. Didn't even know this was here.
Good to know. Learning more about this
mod as I go forward.
See, I can't move these units yet because there's no room to do so, but
just want to keep eliminating units with these crossbowmen,
getting some experience. Let's skip
that turn. Builder's in place here, finally.
I can't believe Spain finally expanded right when
I was going to build Tingis. They're finally
building new cities. I wonder what took the AI
so long. I mean, it's fine.
We're going to conquer them easily because they're just so far behind.
All right, we're two turns away from the musketmen,
and we have so much gold saved up, it's not even funny.
They did not fire on the Legion Corps,
which is an incredibly stupid decision,
and now I can fortify that Legion Corps
while everyone else gets in position.
What a dumb move.
France, what are you thinking?
Yeah, they did not fire on that Legion Corps.
All right, this catapult is promotable, so let's give them Great Shot.
Let's have you, exactly as I said, let's have you fortify.
We have another knight that's promotable.
Let's give you, yeah, Barding, so you can defend versus ranged attacks.
Looks like both of these can fire.
That's excellent. Even this pikeman can go up.
Well, I won't leave that pikeman there.
I've talked about that, but all right, by
all means, this crossbowman is going to get promoted now,
and it's going to be an
even bigger threat to Hanover
when we start moving in. One turn away from
musketmen, so we're going to have
those guys really soon, and we're just going to
start going a lot faster. Like, a lot faster.
Now, speaking of that, I need to
move more units in,
and that involves... let's see... let's put you here. You start
surrounding the city. We'll hit Hanover, sure.
Let's move this guy here, and
that guy there, that guy there.
We'll move this knight here for now, just to put it in range,
but also to start freeing up space in this area.
We need to go ahead and get pikemen
on the front lines where we can, so we'll do that too.
Legions need to stay in my territory because next turn they'll
be promotable, but we are going to start moving them down, finally.
All right, we'll bring that knight in to take care of that knight.
Anapons also has a builder ready to go. That's nice.
Yeah, do a trader. It's gonna take three turns. No problem.
Coralis can build a new district.
Let's go ahead and do walls. Can I do renaissance walls yet?
No, I can't. I haven't done too many medieval walls yet,
but I have plenty of faith. Why not?
Coralis is in range of the entertainment district from Rome,
so I don't need to do an entertainment complex there.
A commercial hub would be good, monetarily. I could put it there.
I could also do a, hmm, an industrial zone there.
Yeah, let's go ahead and do an industrial zone right there.
Make Coralis more of a production powerhouse.
If I take you off food focus, it will be done a little sooner.
That's fine by me. Do it.
And Brundisium can, oh yeah, awesome.
Let's go ahead and train a stable here.
And then I think I can continue to buy, yup, let's buy an armory.
Got so much faith built up.
Now Brundisium is going to be building faster,
and they can build another district.
They could do, um, a theater square might
not be the worst thing, considering.
Um, yeah, let's put
a theater square right there.
Frankfurtium needs to repair its encampment.
It's going to take a whopping 72 turns
because Frankfurtium's production is absolute crap.
Wow.
That was actually a little bit more than I was expecting.
But all right, we're going to build that lumber mill there.
And then this trader.
Yeah, that's an existing trader between Mediolanum and Rome.
And we're going to keep giving Icosium production.
That spy will be done soon.
This legion needs to stay put
because they're going to be promoted soon.
Can't fire on Hanover yet this turn, but we will be able to again soon.
Saying that word a lot.
I know.
skip that guy's turn, skip that guy's turn,
can't move any of these just yet in the direction I need
to, um, let's leave you there,
and that way you can gain a little bit of health before I advance
you, hopefully that unit will be okay, they might,
no, they shouldn't be able to get any units in to
get that builder, so it should be all right,
this crossbowman, isn't this crossbowman promotable
yet, no, they're not, they still are, how many experience,
oh wow, actually more experience than
I thought, away from getting promoted, all right,
these knights could be in trouble here, depending
on how much they get focused on, all right,
so they're hitting the catapults, I'm not terribly
shocked they're hitting the pikemen here
which i'll be able to fortify next turn this pikeman
is only level two so they should still get
a good amount of experience from whatever
firing happens you can see france has modern
buildings now even before we do so it's good
that we're only bring us loss loss of lives loss
of productivity loss of our very humanity
yes john but what about when war is also part of human nature
and violence and such like that
That's the philosophical conundrum, is it not?
Believe me, I'm on your side, John.
As I talk to the Civilization VI leader as if he's a real person.
Ah, okay, Russia's impressed with me now.
I think that's happened a couple times, though.
Alright, so we have access to gunpowder.
Oh, and, oh, very nice. This'll help us grow.
Okay, so we're at the theocracy right now. What are my policies?
Oh, okay.
What policy did we just lose?
Was it the plus one production to all cities?
Uh, production towards medieval and renaissance wonders.
Yeah, let's do that.
Um, because we are still building a few of those.
And I need those as soon as possible.
So that could help us get the Forbidden City.
Not this episode, but soon.
Let's
see.
We're 12 turns away from it.
Thank God.
Crossbowman finally leveled up.
Implacement.
Combat strength when defending versus city attacks.
Yes, please.
Let's go for humanism so we can start building
our art and archaeology museums.
Massalia can build a new district now that the,
uh, we have two very, very straight.
Excuse me.
That one came out of nowhere. Couldn't mute the mic in time.
We have two very straight
aqueducts. Yeah, set up there.
Masalia can do some additional stuff, though.
So I could do... I mean, I haven't done
really a campus district in a while.
I've got a good spot for one,
but it would take away from production and food
there. Well, any district would take
away from anything else I'm doing.
So I'd rather have a campus than an
entertainment complex. Or not an
entertainment complex, but a commercial hub.
Maybe an industrial complex would be good.
Right there. Yeah, let's do that.
Let's put that in place.
And if we put you on production focus,
you can have it done two turns sooner.
Excellent.
Okay, so let's have this pikeman fortify
so they can do a little bit more damage.
And then, let's see, we need to go ahead
and keep moving units forward as much as we can.
We can go ahead and start promoting our forces.
Part of me wants to move this legion back
really quick and make him a musketman.
I think that would be the best move. I really do.
Hang on, well, let's first see...
Yeah, see... Hmm.
Yeah, that would be the best move.
I don't really want to do it,
but where did it say I can move them to? There.
All right, so if I move this crossbowman here,
I can then move that legion there and then promote them next turn.
I can go ahead and fire on Hanover this turn,
do a little bit of damage at least.
It's not ideal, but we're going to do it anyway.
I could attack with this knight,
but I'm not going to just yet.
We want to move this catapult forward.
It won't be able to fire because there's woods here, unfortunately.
But I'm still going to move them forward.
I can move this knight all the way up here. They can ride.
Let's fortify you so you don't take any more damage.
I can't fortify you, but I will go ahead and I'll give
the fortify order because I don't want them to do anything right now
I'm gonna finish up the moves for this turn and then call this episode.
Let's see. Yeah additional food for Pella Masalia
Maybe another trader for Mediolanum for now.
That might be the best thing to do
Honestly, Masalia is not trading with Rome yet though
Let's go ahead and do that
Skip your turn, add more production, another builder ready to go
So if I put you here, you'll be able to do something next turn
I just moved you back and then yeah,
we still are waiting to be able to move all of our units forward
But we can move this unit here and this unit here and this unit here.
So we're making progress
It's just we need to be able to promote all of our
Legions up including this one. Oh, I should have promoted that one.
I don't know what I was thinking
Let's move you all the way down there because
that way we can move them up and around and then go to the next turn
So while that is cycling, we'll see what?
Not Catherine. Yeah, Catherine. Let's see what Catherine does here,
but I'm gonna go ahead and stop this one promotion available. Good
Ooh, this... Oh, no. Oh, no. No.
They just... Oh, crap.
I think that was just a level one...
I don't think that was actually a leveled-up catapult,
so that's not the worst thing, but they
totally surprised me with those knights.
She really does have quite a capacity to crank out these mounted units,
and she's been using them to great effect.
But now that we have musketeers, then everything's going
to turn around next episode, I think.
We're going to probably be able to take more than one city.
Gandhi's unhappy with me. Big surprise.
They think you're a warmonger. Yeah.
You've been... You've literally been
denouncing me since you met me, dude.
I'm not shocked.
Now we have plenty of gold
to do our remaining promotions for our legions.
We're not leaving the Wonder Building to you, dude.
We are totally not, I assure you.
That is not a thing that is happening.
We actually haven't had the opportunity to build
the Potala Palace in many other cities,
so I'm going to have to look into that maybe
once Mediolanum's done with the Forbidden City.
See where else we might be able to build into Mediolanum as well.
I doubt it, but we'll see.
I think it has to be on a hill next
to a mountain, so actually, maybe so.
But yeah, let me stop this one here.
In the next one, we are going to take Hanover, probably.
Take Odense, probably.
Let's go ahead and do this now just for fun so we can see it.
Excellent.
We have a boost on replaceable parts as well, thanks to that.
But now we have a musketman that next turn can move
in and do a lot more damage than even we've already been doing.
So, yeah, lots of fun to be had.
I'm trying to resist continuing to give orders
right now, but we'll do that in the next episode.
Thanks for watching.
