Hi there, traders.
This is Brad Gilbert with today's Trading Action.
All right, as we come in towards the end of the Asian session
into the start of the European session,
we're starting to get good trading conditions, right?
This is a pretty bit of rare space, I guess,
but we do have a bunch of trades on at the moment.
I see Kiwi's in the cash,
still in Kiwi looks all right.
So things are actually starting to connect, right?
It's taken a few days,
but we are starting to get some sort of rhythm.
Across the board here.
Now, just coming to the actual markets,
I just see India have just raised interest rates.
There's not a lot going on, all right?
And this is primarily because the main economic calendar,
it's pretty light on this week,
but it's going to the medium to high impact in numbers.
Really, the next major event is the FOMC minutes
at the end of the North American session, right?
You've got some industrial production numbers
out of Europe, nothing really, you know, crazy.
That's going to, I wouldn't expect to excite the market.
Let's see what the FOMC minutes.
A lot of analysts have already said
the forward guidance from the meeting
is already out the window.
So I don't know what that means,
but basically let's just see what they've got to say.
Then we come into, I mean, look at all the cronies
we've got speaking here out of the central banks.
The Kiwi's been under pressure.
So I'm looking for instruments that have got clear direction
or giving us cash, which is Kiwi weaknesses.
Let's see what he's got to say.
That might be out there ready to say, you know what?
We've got it wrong.
We've raised rates.
We better back off, right?
I wouldn't be surprised
because that Kiwi economy is very small.
So that's where we are, right?
So keep an eye on the signals.
They, you know what, for whatever reason,
they seem to hit the money on a lot of different trades.
And if you're consistent,
you're going to be making money, all right?
Coming to your, the bonds, okay?
Just a little bit of,
I've just gone to three decimal places here on the yields.
I might just go back to two
because it's sort of doing my head in a little bit.
But the yields are still up there, right?
It's like crazy stuff.
In fact, if I just click on that,
I'll show you how to do this.
If you go here to format, just change that back to two,
which is the way I usually look at them,
then I can sort of see exactly what's going on.
Three gives you a better idea exactly where they are,
but you know what?
I'm not really trading the bonds.
I just want to see what's going on.
Don't forget, if the price is down,
yields are up, right?
So that's what it is.
So if these, you're just going to pay attention there
because it can be a little bit tricky
with the whole situation.
But this is the thing,
check out the currencies, right?
This is a perfect risk-off scenario.
Forget about the bonds.
They are just doing their own thing.
Equity market's down.
Euro's still going to be kiwi down, dollar up.
That is why we've got good trading conditions.
That's a risk-off profile, all right?
Now the charts, well, you know what?
With everything that's going on,
the crosses are where the action is,
not really the majors at this stage.
So have a look at the majors.
You might get sort of sidetracked and think,
well, there's not a lot going on here.
There is in the crosses.
So make sure you check that out.
I still think the equity markets
are massively overdone, right?
They are sort of sitting up here on cloud nine
with all this AI investment.
Well, I think we're like one major event away
from these things crashing thousands of points.
I've been sort of saying it for a little bit,
so maybe I'm deluded,
but they just can't keep going up
when there's no growth, there's no nothing.
It's just investment, investment, investment.
Once that runs out, these equity markets should fall,
especially with where those US treasury yields are.
All right, so that's just my take on that.
And that's pretty much it, guys.
There's not much.
It's a quiet week, as we know.
Take your time with what's going on.
Pick off the markets.
Keep an eye on, most importantly, the live signals.
If you're looking for trade ideas and suggestions,
that's where you need to be looking.
And then also just look over to the interest rate tracker
to see what's going on here with interest rates, right?
Who's doing what?
Who's on hold?
Who's looking to hike, et cetera, all right?
No one's cutting rates just yet,
but I tell you what, with the US economy
in those last week's US non-farm payrolls week,
we're one big number away from a big change here
from the Fed.
All right, guys, that's it for me.
Have a good one.
All the best.
Cheerio.
