This hike began just of the Going-To-The-Sun Road at Siyeh Bend. From there we took the Piegan Pass Trail up to Piegan Pass (about 5 miles and 1,700 feet elevation gain). From there we went off trail and joined the climber's route up to the saddle between Piegan Mountain and Pollock Mountain.

This is a popular route to summit Piegan, Pollock, and Bishops Cap. This route takes some navigation skill as you need to ascend up toward Piegan to locate the climber's route. From Piegan Pass to the saddle between Pollock mountain and Piegan mountain is only .9 miles but it is over 1,000 feet of vertical gain.

Even if you are not summitting any of those peaks the views from the saddle are amazing as you look down the Lunch Creek drainage to all of the peaks around Logan Pass. The other side of the saddle gives views back toward Many Glacier and Mount Siyeh.
