NY Giants Head Coach John Harbaugh's Preaching Accountability is Big
Aug 3, 2026
I think the number one thing that Harbaugh brings to the table that I absolutely love
is that he holds everybody accountable.
It doesn't matter if you are a first round pick.
It doesn't matter if you have the highest cap hit on the team.
It doesn't matter who you are, if you're the first stringer or you're the bottom of the
depth chart.
Everybody is held to the same standards.
Now that is important.
Why?
Because the minute you have favoritism on a team, the minute you let some guys get away
with something and other guys don't get away with the same thing, you no longer have a
team.
What you have is a collection of individuals.
What you have is brewing resentment.
It's like, why is so-and-so allowed to get away with that and I'm not?
So Harbaugh got rid of all of that.
He said basically to the team, to paraphrase, everybody's going to be held accountable.
Players, coaches, staff, everybody.
No one is bigger than the program to where exceptions are going to be made.
And so that number one is the biggest thing that Harbaugh has done that I think is going
to make a huge difference in terms of building the program because everybody's buying into
it.
