Hello! Do you know why it is worth to sow single-year plants in our gardens?
And what are the interesting varieties that we can sow directly to the ground, so we have much less work.
If you find this video useful and interesting, I will be grateful if you put your thumb up under the video when you watch it to the end.
I've already bought a little, but I'll definitely have to buy something more.
Because these are not all the plants that I planned. Not all the plants from my list.
I would like to present you with plants that are very easy to grow and not very demanding.
First of all, we sow them directly to the ground.
Without the earlier need to sow them in containers to later pick them up and transfer them to the ground.
We can do it, but by sowing them directly to the ground, we have much less work.
In addition, they require 6 to 8 hours of direct sun and can grow on drier sites.
It is worth watering them when such days of drought come.
A few days, a week of drought, it is worth watering them gently.
Unicellular flowering plants are worth cutting when they start to bloom.
Thanks to this, we encourage plants to produce more flowers and prolong their bloom.
If you have been watching me for some time, you probably know that I am a fan of multiple-year plants.
But this year I bet on unicellular plants.
Because they will fill the space between the plants on the freshly planted shoots.
So this year I will have a very nice effect, pleasant to the eye.
Usually, you have to wait 2-3 seasons for new shoots.
So I will speed up the effect this year by sowing unicellular plants.
All unicellular flowering plants, long-blooming, are hibiscus.
So they attract not only pollinators, but also beneficial insects that help us fight some pests.
That's why it's also worth sowing such plants in our garden.
If we have empty space in the garden, still unmanaged shoots and we have no idea about them,
it is worth sowing unicellular plants or a flower meadow.
Since we will attract beneficial insects, but above all, we will not leave the exposed soil, which will grow with weeds.
And if it does not grow with weeds, then leaving the exposed soil for atmospheric factors does not affect it too well.
If you do not have an idea to manage some spaces in the garden,
or you have empty spaces between bushes or pollen on newly planted shoots,
these plants will work perfectly.
But what plants do I specifically recommend?
Let's start with a plant that I sowed in my garden about 5-6 years ago.
It worked perfectly and somehow I forgot about it, so it's time to go back to it.
And it's about gypsum.
It is, of course, a one-year plant that will work perfectly on grassy and pollen shoots.
Due to its shape of flowers, it will actually fit into any other shape of flowering pollen plants.
Whether it is for round flowers, more pointed, it will create such a delicate cloud,
filling the space between plants that have not yet grown and do not have such a mature shape, size.
On the pollen shoot I have a gypsum plant called Viejo Vato.
It is a pollen and I also sowed it once from seeds.
Gypsum will also be useful for bouquets, but also for vases.
And a hint, if we want to cut flowers, we cut them when they start to develop.
When they start to bloom and catch insects, pollinated flowers lose their color,
they turn brown, yellow, just ugly.
Flowers are also worth cutting in the evening when it is a little cooler
and it is worth putting them in a bucket of cold water to prolong their freshness.
My grandparents used to grow gypsum.
When we like to cut flowers from our garden into a vase,
or to give someone as a gift, I think there can be no shortage of sunflowers.
This year I chose 8 different varieties.
When choosing sunflowers, I tried to choose them in terms of different heights and shape of flowers and their color.
When making the selection of varieties, I tried to choose such plants
that produce a few flower shoots on one stalk.
I chose two high varieties, which reach from 120 to 150 cm in height,
a classic variety, but it produces just a few flower shoots on one stalk,
and a green center.
I liked them very much.
When sowing sunflowers, it is worth dividing the seeds into 3-4 groups
and sowing them in two-week intervals.
Thanks to this, we will prolong their bloom in our garden.
I chose medium-high varieties.
I could not resist this one.
They reach from 100 to 120 cm in height
and all of them also produce a few flower shoots on one stalk.
I also chose two low varieties, which reach from 40 to 60 cm in height.
They also produce a few flower shoots on one stalk.
And they will serve me as a replacement for grassy or pollen flowers.
This height will just fit me to the plants that are planted.
If we like sunflowers in pots, but we are irritated by the fact that they fall apart,
get dirty, it is worth choosing such varieties that have full flowers.
Well, they don't get so dirty.
Last year I had a lot of sown sunflowers, but classic ones for eating
and I used most of them to feed the birds during the winter.
I recommend Habra to fill up the grassy or pollen flowers.
So far, I have managed to get such varieties.
This is just the Delinowa variety.
This one is full of flowers.
Not only do they bloom for a long time and attract beneficial insects,
but they are also herbal plants.
We can also use them for drying.
They are one of the plants that keep the color of flowers after drying for a very long time.
We can also use them as a natural dye.
Unfortunately, I did not find the seeds of the selected interesting varieties.
I know that in a mixture of flower meadows, we will find white, pink, purple, purple flowers.
Certainly, in such flower meadows we will find many interesting varieties
and we can try to get seeds from such meadows to be able to sow them next year.
But I will continue to look for interesting varieties that will be packed separately.
To prolong the bloom of the Habra and to make it more abundant,
when we see that they are blooming, it is worth cutting the overblown flowers.
I don't have the purchased seeds yet.
I will definitely have seeds from my grandmother's garden.
They were sown alone every year and everything grew.
Crates, nets, wherever possible, there was a growing pea.
It is a plant that we can sow earlier to move it to the garden later,
when the risk of frost is over, i.e. after May 15.
But we can also sow them directly to the ground.
And it is worth sowing such seeds earlier.
Thanks to this, they sprout faster.
And it is very important that when they start to sprout,
they reach a height of about 15-20 cm,
it is worth breaking, pricking the tip.
Thanks to this, it will start to spread and it will bloom more abundantly.
While browsing online stores with seeds,
I came across a few very interesting varieties.
So I will present them to you.
Tonight I will have to do the shopping.
I definitely recommend Cynia to you with a single flowering plant.
Unfortunately, I only picked up two different varieties,
which differ in the construction of flowers.
One resembles a bit of chrysanthemums, and the other dahlias.
It is a mixture of seeds.
Unfortunately, I could not hunt down specific varieties,
but browsing the Internet, looking for interesting varieties,
I came across such beautiful, wonderful,
so I hope I can buy them.
I will present you photos of these beautiful varieties.
Some resemble chrysanthemums, others, as I mentioned, dahlias,
and other chrysanthemums.
If we are looking for a cynia that we want to cut into a vase or dry it,
it is worth choosing varieties with higher flowers.
Low varieties are hard to cut and have short stalks,
so they will not fit into every vase.
We cut cynia flowers when they are not fully open.
About three quarters.
When cutting, it is also worth paying attention to how stiff the stem is.
The stiffer, the longer the plant will stand.
Such soft, bending on the sides,
they are not yet fully mature to cut them.
Unless the flower has bloomed.
I also recommend you nuggets.
I think everyone knows them,
but we can buy very interesting varieties.
Unfortunately, I managed to buy such classic ones in the store,
but with full flowers.
Here we have a mixture of different colors,
but I will hunt for other interesting varieties,
which I will present to you in a moment.
Nuggets are not only herbal plants,
which we use for various brews, brews,
but we can add them to various masts,
to our dishes and to decorate dishes.
Not only can we use nuggets in many different ways,
but they also attract beneficial insects,
so it is worth considering having them in your garden.
I sow them with a live animal,
which was planted a year ago.
A year ago I was sowing them,
but my brother cut them out for me.
So this year I definitely have to mark,
somehow ward off,
so that no one flies with his grandfather for nuggets.
If you have a lot of space to manage
and you are wondering what you can sow,
or the space between the bushes and trees
on your plot is large,
and the soil is also not of the best quality,
it is worth weighing the seedlings.
It is a plant that fertilizes the soil,
improves its structure.
It blooms for a long time,
we can cut it into bouquets.
They can usually last about 7 days in vases,
but we can also dry them,
use them for dry bouquets.
They bloom for quite a long time,
and when they start to bloom
and we cut them into flowers,
they will start to produce new flowers.
So it is worth weighing the seedlings
and they strongly attract beneficial insects.
Every year in my garden,
despite the fact that I avoided one-year-old plants,
there were cosmoses,
i.e. Warsawianki,
and they were sown by themselves.
Flowers with classic colors were sown,
white, pink and dark pink,
but this year I will put
more interesting varieties,
higher and medium-high,
so as to make up for the grass-based discount.
This year I will definitely sow
sorghum cosmoses.
These are plants with orange flowers,
not too large,
because about 3-4 cm in diameter,
they bloom abundantly.
Sown in such a place in our garden
where the setting sun falls,
you can get a fabulous effect.
Among many different interesting varieties,
I drew attention to the following varieties.
I hope I can hunt them,
buy them so that I can sow them in the garden.
Cosmoses can be cut into vases.
Their duration is
about 5-7 days.
If we want to cut these plants into a vase,
let's look for high and medium-high varieties.
This year I will also sow
kocanki, i.e. immortals.
These are classic plants
that we use for dry bouquets
and they will serve me to decorate the apartment
in the autumn-winter period.
We sow them directly to the ground,
we can cut them into vases,
but above all for dry bouquets.
These are plants that reach
from 60 to 90 cm in height,
i.e. they will also work perfectly
as a replacement for linseed or grass.
I recommend aksamitka.
I just chose a variety that is not too high,
reaches 15-20 cm,
has small flowers
and it is a plant that is worth having
in the garden because it has a positive effect
on the plants it grows with.
I personally do not like
aksamitka, so I chose
such a small flower variety.
Of course, the variety is huge,
high, medium-high,
full, single flowers,
yellow, more orange,
multi-colored.
I just chose a variety that is low.
And of course it is a plant
in addition to edible,
which we can use for salads,
for dishes, for decorating dishes,
but also for ointments, various
brews, brews, but also flowers.
We can use it as a natural dye.
During the purchase,
I threw a few single plants into the basket,
which, unfortunately, require
earlier sowing under the covers,
so we'll see how much time I have,
but generally I focus this year on single plants,
which I will sow directly to the ground.
Significant saving of time.
Thanks to the fact that I will sow such plants,
the garden will look much better,
fill the empty space between the plants
that still need some time
to grow, which means
that the garden will look nicer.
And if you are wondering how
you can cover an ugly wall
in the garden, I invite you to watch
this film. I encourage you to subscribe
and of course with a bell to receive
notifications about new films about home and garden plants
and it will be nice if you leave
a thumbs up under the film if you
liked it, and in the meantime, enjoy
working in the garden, good weather.
Regards.
