What's going on everybody.
This is Island Hopper TV and today we're coming to you from South Florida right
here in Miami, beautiful Miami, Florida.
So if you're excited about this video, crush up the likes,
subscribe to this channel and keep up with us as we take you guys around the
world. And in this case around Florida, let's do this.
First spot we're going to hit here is the port of Miami and the walking
marketplace here down on the actual port.
So when you come to the port of Miami, you'll see there's lots of restaurants,
boutiques, shopping, entertainment right here on the beautiful port of Miami.
This is where many people do board their cruise ships as they go into the
Caribbean. But right now, given the circumstances,
many people come here and book other tours to the Everglades boat tours around
Biscayne Bay to check out Fisher Island and some of these other islands on the
other side of South Beach.
You can also do a sunset tour here and also eat at the Hard Rock Cafe for some
of you who are into dining right there on the actual port.
And as you can see,
they do have quite the collection of rock and roll memorabilia here at this
Hard Rock in the port of Miami.
And after you filled up on your lunch or dinner,
you can head over to the Ferris wheel and get some pretty good panoramic views,
360 degrees all across Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami.
I also like to do the city tour on the double-decker bus and that's actually
what we're going to do next is hop on the double-decker bus,
cruise out of downtown Miami and take you guys over to the South Beach area
where you're going to have lots of shopping, lots of culture,
salsa and all types of different tango dancing activities and beautiful beaches.
Now, when I head down to South Beach, I like to get brunch,
then do some of the activities on the water, play some volleyball,
chill out on the sand, walk around in the water,
do some of that relaxing stuff.
Then at night is when the South Beach area really comes alive with all of the
great cuisine, so much variety down here.
Next step on the things to do around Miami is head over to Vizcaya museum and
gardens, this beautiful gardens and botanical area.
It really is quite spectacular.
It's like a palace and the beautiful palace you see here was actually built by
James Deering from the international harvester fortune.
So this beautiful palace here on Biscayne Bay,
it's like a swamp palace with lots of exquisite artwork from around the world
and wow, definitely worth checking this place out.
So you would probably want an hour or two just to explore this palace museum
because there's so much to see in these gardens. So once you're done here,
you can head over to little Havana and actually get some mojitos and a haircut
and check out a Cuban sandwich and have some fun down in little Havana,
which is actually one of my favorite places along Calle Ocho.
For those of you who are a pit bull fan, you already know about this place,
but you got to come down here and see it for yourself.
Now aside from a mojito, you may want to check out the cigars.
You also want to check out the Cuban sandwiches, which are world renowned,
very popular when you come down to little Havana.
So lots of things to see and do just from a historical perspective and
understanding the historical influence of the Cuban culture in Miami.
Oh,
and don't forget all the awesome artwork after you get some mojitos like you can
see right here. Look at how frothy and refreshing those are.
So as mentioned previously, you got to head over to the Everglades.
And when you get out to the Everglades,
you're going to see some crocodiles and lots of different wildlife,
including iguanas, ospreys and some of these birds that you got in these trees
out here in the swamps. Oh,
don't forget this hovercraft water boat that actually has a big fan on the back
that rips all across the swamps. Kids are going to like that, aren't they?
And once you do get out there, you'll see, uh, you're in the ecosystem,
the wild Everglades,
which one of the best national parks in all of America.
And it's definitely worth preserving. Don't forget,
these are called alligators, not crocodiles.
And the reason you know it's an alligator and not a crocodile is because of
distinct characteristics,
which they'll explain to you at the actual education center.
And another place to check out after you leave the Everglades or you're going
around on the double decker bus is Wynwood.
Wynwood's a good place to get lunch, walk around, check out the art.
Also a great place to come at night and do some of the fine dining experiences
with all the variety of restaurants or heck if you're a breakfast person,
come to Wynwood and get some breakfast.
A good place to just hang out all around, even if it's brunch.
But the big appeal out here is going to be the street art.
As you can see with all of these murals all across the buildings down here,
there is a lot of gentrification taking place down here in Wynwood.
So coming down here is probably something you'll want to do when you're in the
Miami area.
If you're looking for something a little bit more relaxing to do while you're in
Miami, come on down to Coral Gables.
This is a place that has lots of outdoor dining, shopping,
just a more relaxed kind of vibe, a little bit like South beach,
but not on the ocean. And, uh,
just a really cool cosmopolitan feel that you get out here in Coral Gables.
As you can see, we're walking around in the afternoon.
The place is kind of slow right now, but it really does come to life at night.
So try to add Coral Gables to your list of places to visit during the evening
time.
Lots of history and also art and entertainment down here.
And what would a trip be to Miami without actually exploring the nightlife and
doing a sunset cruise around Biscayne Bay?
So we showed you a lot of the land activities,
but now we're going to take you on a boat tour through Biscayne Bay.
Show you guys the nightlights and the million dollar homes that the celebrities
live in all across Biscayne Bay on Fisher Island,
Dodge Island, and some of these other areas like jungle Island,
which is also pretty cool. So if you like Gots and million dollar homes,
you'll definitely want to do a tour around Biscayne Bay.
And this does back out to the backside of South beach,
which you can see these condos looking out over Biscayne Bay,
the flat water or the yachts and all that stuff.
Then as the night tour does progress,
the sunset does start to glow and light up the sky as it sets in the West.
You can see the city lights of Miami start to come to life and it really does
create an awesome ambiance,
especially when you're out there on the water. Anyways,
thanks to everyone who watched this episode of Miami, Florida things to do.
