Make Your Life SO FUN You Just Don't Have Time To SCROLL
In this video, I’m getting honest about why "it really is the phone" and how constant scrolling is affecting our brain. We talk a lot about social media addiction, but what is dopamine and how does it keep us trapped in a cycle of addiction? After 3 months away from long-form content, I’ve realized that to achieve a success mindset, we have to address our social media habits head-on.
If you are looking for a dopamine detox or a motivational video to help with addiction recovery—especially from story addiction—I’m sharing the exact tips I use to reclaim my time. We’re diving into how to stop scrolling and, more importantly, how to actually stop scrolling by filling your life with real-world value.
As the self development coach for this journey, I want to help you focus on personal development and personal growth. True self development and self improvement start with how you manage your dopamine and how you choose to spend your mornings. Let’s break the social media addiction together and start living a life that’s too fun to miss.
Our parents were right; it really is our phone. This video explores the concept of "false dopamine" from constant scrolling and how it impacts our lives, promoting a much-needed social media detox. We discuss the importance of digital minimalism to regain self control and a healthier mindset. 😈
Our parents were right. It really is their goddamn phone. And I know that it's not the
type of content that I make. Don't get me wrong, I still love fashion, I still love sneakers,
I still love brands, everything. But it's been, it's been now three months since I haven't posted
a long form video. This isn't, again, not the type of content that I make, but I just feel,
I just have an urge to talk about it because maybe you don't need that. Maybe you're okay.
But I don't know, maybe a brother of yours needs to hear these words. Your father, your mother,
your grandparents, because now most of the victims are elderly people too. We, young people,
we just understand something. We just hear people, we understand that the phones are not good,
that scrolling rots our brains. That's why it's called brain rot. But elderly people just have
a bigger difficulty to understand it. So I just wrote down some tips that I have from myself
for you, because I know that many of people would love to hear these words. I needed back then,
and I wish that someone was there to help me. So if you have a difficulty with scrolling,
false dopamine, I'm going to give you some tips. And there are no things like, for example,
making 10 pushups instead of scrolling. No, not those type of things. The first thing that I would
actually advise you to do instead of scrolling, just to make your life, just so you don't have
time to scroll itself, is to plan your day. So just think, for example, today, this evening,
think about what you're going to do tomorrow. If you're going to school, if you're going to work,
if you're going to learn something new and write down every, every, every single thing
that you just have to do. And actually being 100% true to yourself, I don't write it down. So you
don't have to write it down. I just know that most people, they need to write it down. But
what you have to do is to basically have a way to remind yourself, to remember what you have to do
and think about small things. So it just makes annoying to be scrolling. For example, one thing
that I just love is to spend time with my friends. So what would I do? I would, and this
actually is a complimentary one to the second tip, but we're going to go to that later, but plan your
day. Just know what are you going to do when, so you just don't have time to scroll. For example,
when you wake up, one good thing that I advise you to do is to stretch. As I wrote it down,
it was supposed to be to the end of the video, but how you start your day defines it.
This is a phrase that I heard it. I don't know where, but I heard it. How you start your day
defines it. So if you start your day scrolling, if you just get out of bed, you take your phone,
you check your notifications, you start scrolling, you start sending messages, I'm sorry, but you're
just freaking your dopamine system. I know that dopamine is like a cool word right now, but it
really is that important. And I'm the first one to be able to talk about it because me too, I loved
to wake up and see the messages, to see notifications. If I got new mails, if you,
I don't know what happens in the world, but you just have to change that. And I know that it's
simple at all. It actually is not simple at all, trust me. But you'll not regret it. The first
thing that I advise you to do in the morning is to, well, to turn off your alarm. But instead of
checking your notifications, you just jump out of the bed, you go to your floor and you just stretch.
And it doesn't matter how much time, if you stretch for 15 minutes, for 30 seconds, I basically
stretch for like two minutes, I guess, in the morning. But it just gives a sensation to your
body, like you're starting your day correct. So now the second tip that I wrote is do stuff that
you're ready to do alone, but invite people like friends. And some examples that I wrote down are
workout, for example, if you're ready to work out, you know, between sessions, if you're at the gym,
or if you're like practicing basketball, if you're running and you're in a pause, instead of
having to take out your phone to scroll, you just invite someone and during your pauses,
you just talk to them. And when I say talk to them, when you're with someone, I just
want you to be present, like active listener, but to a point where you just forget that your phone
exists. And better, I need you to make the other person forget that the phone exists. Because not
just me, I know a lot of people that we just love people who make us forget that phones exist. You
want to take out your phone to scroll because something in you says that it's the right
decision, but you just can't because the person in front of you is just so good. That person is
not even a good person, but he just makes you feel like you're special. And I want you to do
the same thing. Just when you're with someone, be completely with them. And that's exactly what I
want you to do is to make the person in front of you forget about the phone. Just be present,
be completely with them. I wrote down as well, make a challenge to spend more time outdoors.
So instead of always being at your laptop, computer, phone, you know, technologies,
I just want you to make some time, like 30 minutes is already a lot to just be outside.
This may not be the greatest example, but you know, people that get heartbroken,
people that are going through a difficult phase, they all have one thing in common. They all
go outside. They all walk outside because, you know, when you're sitting down and it was proven
by science, but you know, when you're sat down, for example, in front of your computer,
in front of screens in general, you have an idea, right? And then, for example, when you want to
brainstorm about something, about a project, about, I don't know, about even the situation
with someone, something that you both live together. When you're sat down, you just can't
change your point of view. Whilst when you're outdoors, you just walk. No music, no earphones,
no headphones, nothing. You just walk. Walk in silence. You just hear the birds. You hear the
wind blowing, but you also hear your thoughts. And what I wanted to say is that when you walk,
just the fact that you're walking, I don't know how, but you can change your point of view about
something when you walk. When you're sat down, for example, now I'm sat down, I have a point
of view about something. I just can't shape it. I just can't change it. But if I walk,
I can brainstorm like a, like nobody can. I guess you can't see, but the mirror,
oh yeah, you can. The mirror just broke, but it's not a problem. The video continues.
Then I want you to have like a session, for example, 30 minutes a day or even 50 minutes
is already enough to learn a skill. And not like a skill on your computer, just a physical skill,
like to make a handstand, to have a better mobility, agility, to make, you know, to make
you physically better. Because when you feel physically good, your confidence level just
boosts naturally. And I'm not talking about like being 6'2", athletic, bodybuilder type of body.
No, no, no. I'm talking about simple things. If you can just shadow box, if you can fight
a little bit, if you can just feel good in your body, it will actually change your whole life.
Believe me that one of the most important, if not the most important thing that you can do for
yourself to feel good is exercise your body, eat healthy, just to make the whole natural
environment of yourself be good and think good about it. So these are my tips, but don't worry.
I'm still going to make videos about fashion, about sneakers, about brands. Don't worry. But
I just feel the urge to talk about life too, because we're all humans. I needed to hear this
quite a while ago when I was not good with myself. And I know some people that need to hear this.
They want to be helped. And I want to help other people save themselves too. So if you're one of
them, I'm more than happy to help you. But if you're not, but if you know someone that can
be helped, then send them this video. It's really good from your part. And I just wanted to
finish this video with the quote that I read online saying, however you spend your day
is how you spend your life. And it really made me think, it made me froze a little bit.
Think about whole life, how I want to spend it and how I want to spend my days
to them. So that was all. Thank you.
