Liam Lawson P7: Post-race interview |2026 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia

Liam, heck of a race, you must be delighted. Yeah, happy with seventh. It's funny because I was thinking towards the end, we've had such a good race, all of this just for P9, because that's obviously the gap to the front guys, we can't keep up with them. I was thinking we deserved more, and then obviously we got lucky at the end with a couple of those guys not finishing. So yeah, very happy. Our car's been very, very good. It was strong in the race, so yeah, happy. And also turning the screw as well in the Constructors' Championship as well, yet more good points to the team. It must be really encouraging from that perspective too. Yeah, it's good. I mean, it's sort of two weekends where Alpine's been a bit quicker than us and we've managed to outscore them, so I think that's really been good decision-making today on the strat for the start. I had one of the best starts I've ever had, honestly, in my career. And that put us in a great position for the rest of the race.
