So, by demonstrating my favorite automatic magic trick, we will first be able to shuffle the deck
and then we will ask our spectator to choose a card in the deck in a completely random manner.
The spectator chooses a card, for example this card. Okay, I will show it to you. I will not
look at it. Look carefully at the card. It is the spectator's card. Memorize it well. Okay,
I ask my spectator to replace his card on the deck and then to cut the deck as he wishes in
this way. So, the spectator can cut the deck several times if he wants. Eh, no problem. We
will be able to take the deck in this way. He can cut the deck as many times as he wants. Eh,
hop, hop and he stops when he wants. Okay, let's say that the spectator wants to stop here.
Okay, no problem. I place the deck and so there. If we recap, the deck has been shuffled. The
spectator chose a card completely freely within the deck that he lost by cutting the deck several
times. So, I have absolutely no way of knowing where the spectator's card is and I can't know
what his card is. However, if I concentrate a little bit like this, I will be able to determine
that the spectator's card is located exactly in 10th position. I ask the spectator to count 10
cards. 8 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and watch out for the 10th card. In 10th position, we have the spectator's
card. It's simple, it's effective. Let's move on to the explanations.
So, just before moving on to the explanations, if you still haven't taken advantage of this free
training that I created of 3 professional magic tricks, easy to do and very impactful on the
spectator, well you have the first link in the description, you just have to enter your email
and you will automatically receive this training. It's a trick day after day. So, every day when
you receive in your email, you will receive a magic trick from this free training. Everyone
loved it. So, if you still haven't professionally done it, go for it, you're going to love it.
So now, regarding the explanations of this magic trick, well how do we do that?
First moment, we're going to have a little preparation. This preparation, what is it?
Well, we're going to come and get a whole family. So, in this case, I took the family of spades,
but we can take any family. And we're going to come and arrange them from the ace to the king
in this way. So, ace 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 1 0 jacked, queen, king. We come and arrange them, we take a
family and we place it in this way like me. Okay? So, the ace, the ace on top. Then, well we're
ready. We will be able to put the deck in the case and then take the deck out. Obviously,
since we have a preparation, we can't have our spectator shuffle the deck. I can see you coming
every time you're going to tell me, well yes, but then, if the spectator wants to shuffle,
how do we do it? Well, in this case, if the spectator really absolutely needs to shuffle,
you cut the deck in two and let him shuffle and you start on another impromptu trick like
some tricks that I taught you on this channel or many magic pack tricks that are impromptu and you
can do like that right away. For example, now if you shuffle the deck in front of the spectator
and you do it yourself, there is little chance that the spectator will absolutely ask you to
want to shuffle the deck since he doesn't know the top of the trick. So how are we going to
shuffle the deck without touching our preparation which is located at the bottom? First, you will
take the deck in hand and we will do what is called a French shuffle, except that the French shuffle,
we're going to do it this way. And as soon as we see that we're getting to the end so as not to
touch our preparation here, well we're going to place the deck behind. Instead of placing it in
front, we're going to swing it here behind. And there, in fact, when I do that, well I haven't
touched my preparation. We're going to be able to make all sorts of false cuts as I've already taught
you. For example, this false cut where we're going to take the lower part of the deck that we're
going to place here. We take the lower part of the deck, you see here with my index finger, I actually
grab the upper part and in fact it's the lower part that I place in this way. It really gives
the illusion that I'm cutting the deck when in fact I'm cutting absolutely nothing. It's a false cut.
You see the layout of my cards has always remained the same. So once you're like that, we're good.
We're going to ask the spectator to choose a card from the deck. So either you have him choose a
card in this way and there again I see this coming. You're going to say to me, yes but if the spectator
chooses a card that is at the very end. If you're afraid that this will happen, what you can do is
simply take the deck in hand in this way and you're going to ask your spectator to tell you
when he wants. So you do that. You pass the first cards very quickly. He tells you to stop where he
wants. For example, here there you go and so there you've already done your preparation. So a first
technique, a second technique would be to comb the cards in this way and very quickly pass the first
ones. He will necessarily tell you to stop towards the middle or towards the end and you will take a
card randomly. For example, this one, okay. At that moment, it's very important to understand that I
as a magician no longer touch the deck at all. That's the power and strength of this trick. We
don't touch the deck anymore. The spectator looks at his card. We're going to look at it together.
It's a heart. Okay, we ask him to place his card on the deck and we're going to ask him to cut the
deck in two in order to completely lose his card in the deck. The spectator is going to cut the
deck in two. Okay, his card is lost. Let's say to lose your card even more. You're going to be able
to cut the deck as many times as you want as cutting the deck. There you go. In fact, it doesn't
matter how the deck is cut. It won't change anything at all. What actually happens? So, I'm
going to go back to my preparation. What happens when we cut the deck and the card is on top?
Given that we asked our spectator to place his card on top of the deck and underneath, we have
our preparation. Well, when the spectator is going to cut the deck in this way, you see the spectator's
card here, the preparation here. Automatically, our preparation will come and place itself just
behind the spectator's card. And as our preparation, it was arranged at this 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1, 0, etc.
Well, if we look at it like this, for example, the it is located at one position from the 10.
The 2, it is located two cards from the 10. The 3, it is located at three quarters of the 10.
Look carefully. 3, count 1, 2, 3, bow, there is the 10. 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, there is the 10.
So, I think you are starting to see the explanation of the trick coming.
So, the spectator has cut the deck. He cuts it as many times as he wants. In fact,
it doesn't matter how he cuts. So, he has to make cuts in two on the other hand. That's important.
It doesn't matter how he cuts. In any case, the cards will stay together. In fact, cutting,
it doesn't mix the deck. It changes during the game, but it doesn't mix it.
So, even if the spectator cuts right between, uh, between your ace of spades and his card.
Well, when he cuts in the other direction, it will go back in the other direction. In any case,
I hope you follow me. Now, we're going to ask him to turn the deck and continue cutting. History,
let's say it. There you go. We're actually pretending to completely lose his card inside
the deck. And there, in fact, we're going to wait to see a peak because if I see a peak,
I necessarily know that the spectator's card is located. So, look carefully there. I see a peak,
for example, I see the ace of spades. So, I know that the spectator's card is located
on the deck here. Since it's an ace, it's 1. I'm going to cut several times. Hop, there, I see a
7. The spectator cuts here. I know that his card will be in 7th position since we have a 7 here.
If we look at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, hop, the 7th position. This is the spectator card. It works
every time when we see a peak since it is the family of peaks that we have placed in this way.
So here, you are going to tell your spectator to cut the deck as many times as he wants and
in fact, you are going to try to influence the moment when he is going to stop since in fact,
it is you who gives him the orders. He cuts, tells you here you cut and you stop when you
want, you can continue to cut. And if, for example, he stops on a heart, says go ahead,
you can continue. I really want you to make sure to mix the deck well. And when you see that there
is a peak, so you leave it to yourself, you look carefully, you say, go ahead, cut, cut, cut, cut,
cut, continue, continue. I really want the deck to be completely mixed. Here, we see a peak,
for example. Okay, it's an ace of spades. It's not very interesting. I'll try. Hop, a set there.
You tell him, okay, I think it's good. You can stop there. Do you think so? So there,
you really have to confirm it in the sense that he has completely mixed up the deck.
You see a spade, you make sure to stop him. You say, okay, I think you can stop there. I think
you've cut the deck enough. We can stop there. Do you think you've cut enough or do you still
want to continue? Well, there, if he cuts 10 times, he's not going to want to continue.
At that point, he feels like the choice is free. And on top of that, he's cut the deck many times.
So for him, there's no way you can know the identity of his card and even less the position
of his card. And yet, since you have a statistic, it is suddenly your family of cards that was the
reference card. You know when the spectator is going to replace the deck that his card is located
in seventh position. So there, you still not in the game. You say, here, turn the deck over.
So, we agree that you have cut the deck many times, that for me, it is impossible to know
your card and even less to know where it is inside the deck. And yet, if I concentrate a little bit
I think that your card is located in seventh position in the deck. And therefore, the spectator,
it is just completely crazy. It is impossible. He placed his card in the deck. He completely
lost it. You do not know the identity. He has cut the deck many times. You cannot know the position
of his card. It is impossible. You're going to say, go ahead, count this card. A23456 and the
seventh card is the spectator's card. Quote. That's it for the explanations of this trick.
It's a trick that's super easy to do. You can do it again right after seeing the explanations.
There, you can do it directly to someone around you. And yet, it has a very impactful effect on
the spectator. It's the kind of trick I love and that's why it's my favorite automatic magic trick.
