Do you love Korean skincare?
I know I do, and there's a reason for it.
I am gonna go through all of the best Korean skincare products
that I recommend if you're in your 40s or above.
I have tried and tested all of these products,
and there's a reason why I continue using them.
Let me break down all the best Korean skincare for you.
First up, we have the Medicube 3H Relief Cream.
Now, this is something I use every single evening.
It's best for dry, sensitive, or irritated skin,
but it's also amazing for people who use retinoids.
I personally love using tretinoin.
I use it one day on, one day off throughout the week,
and then I take a rest day on the weekend.
These are the acids that I use.
Monday, tretinoin in the evening.
Tuesday, azelaic acid in the evening.
Wednesday, tretinoin in the evening.
Thursday, azelaic acid in the evening.
Friday, tretinoin in the evening.
Saturday, I'll use azelaic acid,
and then Sunday, I take a rest day,
and it's pure hydration.
It's my self-care day, where I do the masking,
I do the red light, I do everything else,
which I'll go through.
This is absolutely amazing
if you use tretinoin or retinols.
The reason why it's so good
is it's not full of ingredients that you really don't need.
It's a very simplified formula,
and it's something that actually a lot of people miss
when it comes to Medicube,
because when you think of Medicube,
you think there's so many products,
and they're all great.
I'm sure they're all great.
And there's so many products for specific reasons,
very targeted.
And then there's this in the background
that I don't think a lot of people end up noticing, right?
Because you kind of like, it's just there.
It doesn't have all the fancy wording or anything.
And I tried it out, and I was blown away,
and I've been using it ever since.
You can see, like, it's half done already.
And I'm definitely gonna be getting this again
when I run out.
It's a product you're gonna love
because it actually supports all of the
kind of more heavy-duty skincare that you might use.
And this kind of ends up just balancing your skin
back down again and calming it down.
It's really good for redness.
It's really good for irritated skin if you have rosacea.
It repairs the skin barrier, gives you deep hydration.
It also reduces any tightness,
so you don't get that tight feeling on your skin.
It's packed full of ceramides, panthenol,
and hyaluronic acid.
So ceramides are basically what your skin already has
on the uppermost layer.
It's actually lipid molecules,
and it actually makes up a 50% of the uppermost layer.
And it holds, it's almost like holding everything together.
And it's packed full of ceramides.
It's also packed full of panthenol.
I can never say that word.
Panthenol is like a, it's a provitamin B5,
so it's really good at hydrating the skin.
It's basically used in most products
to really help with that extra hydration.
So it also has that, and hyaluronic acid,
which we all know is like water for your skin, basically.
You can use this in the morning and the evening if you want.
I personally like to use it just in the evening,
because I have a different moisturizer for during the day.
But this is an absolute, it's been a game changer for me
and my tretinoin journey.
It's actually completed it,
because I feel like I was going through this kind of stage
of, well, quite a long stage,
of figuring out my tretinoin routine and getting it right.
And then I introduced azelaic acid,
and I was like, okay, now my skin's,
I can feel my skin's not feeling like
it was a bit kind of up and down.
And then I introduced this,
and it just calmed everything down.
And it allowed me to really alternate well.
And I've got a real routine going,
and it's perfect for my skin now,
with my azelaic acid and my tretinoin,
and this every evening,
on top of either whichever one I've got on in the evening.
The next product that I absolutely love
for anyone in their 40s is the Inua Blue Dewy Serum.
You guys know I love this.
And it's something that I've recommended
on both my channels, and I've nearly finished this one.
I've already got backup ready somewhere here.
But yeah, I bought a new one.
I ordered a new one, so there's one ready.
But this is an absolutely amazing product.
It is packed full of hyaluronic acid.
It is full of, it's great for dry skin,
dehydrated skin, mature skin.
Great if you wear makeup,
because it doesn't actually disturb the makeup.
If anything, it actually helps your makeup last longer.
And I'll explain this.
And there's a video that I've gone into that
on my other channel, by the way.
And if you want to see it here, let me know,
and I'll do it for you.
Gives you instant hydration,
gives you a dewy glow to your skin,
makes your skin look healthy,
makes your skin look more plump,
and it also refreshes your makeup through the day
if you want to use it as a refreshing mist.
It has PDRN in here, and it has hyaluronic acid.
So PDRN basically helps to repair damaged skin,
stimulate collagen production,
and it's got all the good stuff in there
without overcomplicating it.
And hyaluronic acid, as already mentioned,
literally like water for your skin.
You can use this before skincare, during skincare,
after skincare, before makeup,
during makeup, and after makeup,
and anytime you want.
It's that good.
It does not disturb your makeup.
And by the way, it has the most ultra-fine mist.
You can spray this for the first time after three days,
and you will never get a big droplet on your skin.
It will give you the most amazing glow to your skin.
Look at that.
And it dries down, and then it just makes your skin
look plump and really healthy-looking.
I personally love this layered up in between my makeup,
but I also love using this.
Say if I'm working on a client who has very extreme
dry skin on the under eye area, mature skin,
a lot of wrinkles there, and she doesn't wanna use powder.
I will use this to set it.
If you wanna see that video of how to set your makeup
with this mist, with this one in particular,
because there's no other one that I've used
that it works well with, let me know,
and I will do it with no need for powder.
My next product, let me just grab this, it's right here,
is my Yapoda Depuff Espresso Eye Patches.
Now, I absolutely love these,
and I know they're just eye patches,
because I have a lot of eye patches here.
I love eye patches, right?
But these ones are actually really good.
Now, there's a lot of eye patches
that claim to be depuffing, and they kind of do.
I've never had as drastic results as what I get from this.
Whenever I see these kind of pots
where they're all gooey inside and there's a lot of fluid,
I kind of wonder, is it just a whole load
of hydration in there and that's it?
Just eye patches soaked in some goodness,
but is it actually doing anything?
And these ones actually genuinely do depuff.
I noticed a difference with these, so it's very good.
They're for puffy eyes, they're for tired eyes.
If you have had a late night where you look very tired,
these are really, really good.
For fine lines, dehydration, it reduces puffiness.
It helps to brighten dark circles.
Your eyes look more awake and it smooths your under eyes,
perfect for as a skin prep before makeup application.
It has caffeine, peptides, and niacinamide in here,
so all really good stuff for your under eye area.
You can even put this in the fridge
and wear these chilled and it's really cooling,
and I would say that probably speeds up
the results a little bit more,
but yeah, this is a great option.
I personally love this.
Don't forget to like this video,
subscribe to my channel and hit the bell button
because it means you won't miss my next video,
and make sure you watch the whole video
because you're gonna otherwise miss out
on some really good ones here.
Next up, we've got the MediCube
Kojic Acid Turmeric Brightening Gel Mask.
Have you seen this on my other channel?
I've put it on and I put it on for the day
and you can actually see the results on one of my vlogs,
but I also did put this up on my Instagram as well.
I love these.
These are gel sheet masks, right?
And basically you put this on,
and I don't love all of them
because I think some of them are just hydration
and that's just a bit too boring for me
because I can get that from other stuff that I use,
which I'm gonna go through much quicker,
but this is good because it actually
genuinely does brighten your skin.
So what you do is you put this on
and you leave it on for about three to four hours
and it dries fully and then you take it off
and your skin's all dry and it's bright.
Now, I put this on on a day where I had very tired skin
and I left it on all day while I was working.
I was just working from home and it dried up
and I have to say afterwards, my skin was brighter.
My skin was more alive looking.
It was just more healthy looking.
It didn't look as dull.
It's great for dull skin.
It's great if you have pigmentation issues,
if you have dull skin,
if you have kind of darkness in any other areas.
I felt like this really evened my skin tone as well,
surprisingly.
I don't know why it's surprisingly,
but I wasn't expecting that from it.
So basically kojic acid is like a fermented ingredient
that really helps with brightening the skin.
So that's what that is.
And then you've got turmeric, that's also brightening.
And that's actually used a lot in kind of like
Indian traditions, like Indian weddings and stuff
to really kind of brighten the skin up as a paste.
And that's actually also anti-inflammatory.
So it's really good at soothing
and calming the skin as well.
My next one is something that I use every day now
and I use it in the morning.
It's my day moisturizer.
This is my Inua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisturizing Cream.
I absolutely love this so much.
I have to say out of all the daytime moisturizers I've used,
this has been my favorite so far.
And I've used a lot
because I'm always very honest about what I'm using.
Like I've used the IT Cosmetics one,
which I felt was a great day cream,
but nothing crazy about it.
But, oh my God, this is amazing.
I was even using the Hourglass Equilibrium one recently,
which is another good daytime one, but this is so good.
Great for dry skin, amazing for over 40s and mature skin.
And it's really good for adding
that kind of hydration back into the skin.
It's very plumping for the skin.
So it helps to actually plump out your lines.
Great for dehydrated skin.
It's also got a pointed tip,
which I know may seem like a minor thing
because I thought this when I first got it.
I was like, it's so, like a pointed tip, great.
It comes out, you know, very precise like that, right?
You can put it wherever you want it.
But actually it's way more helpful than you'd think
because I like to apply this as my moisturizer,
but then I like to actually go in
with another very thin layer around my eye area
and around my smile lines.
And it actually helps to plump out those areas
prior to makeup.
So that's why I love that.
It strengthens your skin barrier.
It helps with dehydrated skin, like I mentioned.
So very hydrating, got PDR in there.
So really good at preparing your skin as well.
You can use that in the morning and evening.
I prefer to use it just in the morning.
Then we've got the Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask,
which actually isn't here because it's in my bathroom
because that's where we keep it
because I use it at night every now and again.
That's great for loss of firmness, dry skin, dull skin.
And it's really good if you want that boost of hydration
the next day.
So what that does is it basically creates a thin film
all over your face.
It's like a gel and you smooth it all over,
make sure it's a thin layer.
And then that dries down over time.
I wouldn't put it on and go straight to bed.
I would put it on probably an hour before going to bed
and then leave it overnight.
Because I personally feel like it takes roughly
about 30 minutes or so maybe at minimum
to just dry down fully.
So you don't want to get into bed and then it's wet
and it goes everywhere, right?
So you need it to dry down as much as possible.
So I'd say an hour before bed and then it will dry down
and then you peel it off.
It's like cling film, you peel it off in the morning.
And it's really shocking how hydrating
your skin is underneath.
So it locks in, it basically moisturises your skin
but then it locks it in as it dries.
It's got collagen, hyaluronic acid
and it's got ceramides in there.
It gives you like a nice smooth texture as well.
So amazing for like as a pre-event thing.
So maybe the night before a special event
and I would use it.
You can use it two to three times a week.
Next is the COSRX Six Peptide Skin Boosting Serum.
I think it's Booster Serum, I can't remember.
Yeah, it's Booster Serum.
This is great for the first signs of ageing
and I feel like it's really good
if you've just got into your forties
and maybe you're starting to see those fine lines and stuff.
It's a very good product.
If you remember, if you've watched any of my previous videos
I used to use it a lot.
And the only reason I haven't continued
is because my job is trying different products
but I absolutely loved it.
It was such a good, simple product.
It wasn't full of nasty ingredients.
Great for dull skin, great for fine lines.
I feel like it helps your skin
absorb other products better.
It's smoothing, it helps with hydration levels for sure.
It has six peptides in there.
It's got niacinamide in there, hyaluronic acid
and I would use that after cleansing in the mornings.
I would say that the COSRX Serum is great
if you haven't got severe wrinkles.
So it's good if you are starting to see
those fine lines and wrinkles, then it's a good addition.
Next is my D'Alba Waterfall SPF.
I use this, here it is.
I use this, I love this SPF.
I think it's really good.
I think it just doesn't disturb your makeup.
It sits really well as part of your skincare.
Great for mature skin, great for dry skin,
great for dehydrated skin.
Obviously SPF 50, so that's great.
You've also got a tone-up version,
which is like this slight pink finish to it
and that helps to blur your skin more.
So it helps to brighten up your skin
and even out your skin tone.
It kind of corrects your skin tone.
I would obviously apply that
as the last step of your skincare
in the mornings before your makeup.
Okay, so next up I have my Medicube Booster Pro X2.
I absolutely love this.
Now, I'm gonna be completely honest with you.
There are a few devices that I use.
So it's not that I only use one
and I am fully aware I'm very,
I'm in a position where I'm very privileged
to be able to use many devices,
which is due to my job role.
But I do wanna make it very clear
what I use each one for.
Now, although the other ones that I'm mentioning
are not Korean, I just wanna mention why I use them.
I use the Zip Halo for intense lifting.
I still love that, I still use it.
I use that usually on the latter part
of when I've had Botox, when my Botox is running out
and I don't wanna have Botox yet
because I only have it like every six months or so.
So I use that during the end period
so that I keep that kind of lifting going,
if you see what I mean.
And then I also use the Shark Facial Glow System,
whatever it's called,
but I only use that for the de-puffing,
cooling, sculpting bit.
That's it, right?
To cool my face in the mornings
if I'm puffed up a little bit, right?
So that's just a quick fix for sculpting for me
rather than a gua sha.
This I use a lot.
This is the MediCube Booster Pro X2
and this is absolutely amazing.
So the reason I use this
is because it has several modes on there.
So I mainly use the booster mode,
which basically you use that with this,
which is another product I wanna recommend as part of this.
This is the MediCube EGF NAD Firming Serum.
I'll go into this in a second, right?
So I use that on the booster mode with this.
I use level one.
Sometimes I go up to level three, right?
But there's six levels in terms of intensity.
And I feel that that gives me the most insane glow.
It's so good,
especially if I don't wanna really wear makeup
and I really wanna kind of focus on my glow
and have the best looking skin, as in real skin,
then I use that.
Then I also have dual mode on here.
Basically, this is like an almond shape
and it has a split in the middle.
So the top part you can use as one mode
and the bottom part for another mode.
I like using derma shot mode and booster mode in one
as part of the dual mode.
Derma shot helps with kind of slight lifting
and it kind of is like a workout for your muscles.
What I do is I basically connect it to the app.
Now, when you connect it to the app,
if you're gonna use dual mode,
you can actually pick and choose
which two modes you wanna use as part of dual mode.
So you don't have to use whatever, like I'm saying,
you can pick and choose.
So maybe you want lifting at the same time as boosting.
Maybe you want something else
at the same time as something else.
It's up to you, right?
So I use that mode.
I also love mask mode.
This, basically you put a sheet mask on,
not the gel masks, not like the one I showed you,
a sheet mask.
And you put that on and you basically put mask mode on
and you go over it.
And I think it's in five minutes,
your sheet mask is completely dry
and it's basically made your sheet mask
absorb deeper into your skin in five minutes
than whatever you get out of it in 15 minutes without this.
So you get way more out of that.
So this helps to absorb your skincare,
like for your skin to absorb skincare better.
It's more efficient.
You're maximizing the benefits of your skincare.
And I genuinely see a difference with this.
So I love this.
It has various other modes.
It's got air shot mode,
which is also a really good option too.
I would highly recommend this to anyone over 40
because I think it's easy to use, it's quick.
You don't need anything more than five minutes.
And it also has an app,
which you can basically put your details into
and take a picture of your skin
and then tell it how much time you have during the week,
how many days you wanna do this for.
And it will actually work out
a whole treatment plan for you.
And yeah, and then at the end of it,
you can upload your picture,
not for anyone else, just for you to see.
It's like your own kind of skin diary visual
so you can really see the difference.
And I think it's well worth it.
So this is something else I would recommend.
The other product, my last product is this one.
But first, please do head on over
to thebeautybreakfastclub.com
because it's my online publication,
which I know you're gonna love.
It's all about beauty.
If you love this channel
and you love how educational and informative it is,
you're gonna love it there
because it's basically a magazine version of this,
but you will get stuff on there that you don't see on here,
such as comparisons,
such as really in-depth newsletters
about what the best products are
for this problem or that problem.
And you'll find a lot on there.
There's so much for you to delve into already on there
because it's been going for the last like over two years.
It's free to subscribe to,
but that gives you access to maybe one newsletter
every five to eight days.
But if you go for the paid version,
it costs the same as getting yourself one coffee a month,
but it lasts longer than a coffee
and it's way more satisfying than a coffee.
So you will unlock the entire site
and you get to read anything you've already missed.
So everything's on there
just because it's been going for two, three years, whatever,
doesn't mean you've missed those.
You can go and read all those newsletters.
So you've got so much to catch up on
and I know you're gonna love it.
And by the way,
because if you're watching this video and you're over 40,
which I'm assuming you are,
you are gonna love it because there's an over 40 section.
And I think you're gonna love that
because it's everything that's relatable to you.
And I think, I know you're gonna love it.
You're gonna find it very relatable.
Yeah, head on over, subscribe.
By the way, as part of the paid version,
you also get to join the group chat on the platform,
which means you can ask me questions directly and I answer,
but you get to join the community of amazing, amazing people.
You are absolutely gonna love it.
People are sending in the pictures of their makeup
on a daily basis and people are hyping each other up.
It's definitely a place that I wanna see you
and I wanna meet you on.
So please do subscribe to it.
Lastly, the MediCube EGF NAD Firming System.
Serum, sorry, not system.
So I've used nearly half of this already.
I absolutely love this.
So I use this along with the Booster Pro, the Booster Mode.
Sorry, there's too many names here.
So I use this with the Booster Mode
on the MediCube Booster Pro X2.
And basically what I do is I do this every other day
and I love doing it on my Sunday on my self-care day.
So basically I put this on my skin with cleansed skin
and then I use the Booster Pro
and you just go in circular movements for five minutes,
two minutes on this side, two minutes on this side
and one minute on the forehead.
What this does is it basically penetrates
into your skin deeper
because of the MediCube Booster Pro X2.
But this basically helps to repair your skin
and it is a very, very, very, very good product.
I'm not just, I would never just say anything,
but I've even seen reviews from Korean doctors
about this product and they've said it is very good.
The reason being is because they've looked
at the percentage of the ingredients that this has
and it is amazing.
Everything's listed in my description, by the way,
so you can just click on the links and it'll take you to it.
But basically the easiest way to describe this
is when you think of EGF,
think it repairs damaged skin, right?
When you think of NAD, think anti-aging.
That's the easiest way to explain this.
No need to overcomplicate and go into all the jargon,
but I really do hope that you've enjoyed this video today.
I hope it's been informative
and I hope it's something that you're gonna enjoy.
And I really wanted to share my favorite Korean products
and here they are and they're perfect for over 40s
and they genuinely do work.
Tried and tested.
I'm gonna love you and leave you
and see you on the next video.
