Welcome everyone to Finds of Yesterday.
These are the things you can find on a mediocre
weekend of thrifting.
Let's jump in. So I hit every yard
sale I could find this weekend
and I even went to a flea market
and it was a rough weekend of finding stuff but I did end up
with quite a few things.
So I'm going to show you right here what I have. So this box and this
box actually came from one yard sale.
So that makes me think, you know, I better stop at every
yard sale because you never know what you're going to miss.
This lady cleared out her jewelry and
this is many, many of the pieces that she had, but she had tons more.
And then I hit a flea market
and this whole tray is from the flea market.
So you have to spread yourself around and hit yard
sales, thrift stores, flea markets, outdoor events,
whatever you can find. I also have more behind me
that we're going to kind of go through too that I found
at the yard sales. So let's start with this
one. So this is funny because it says that it
is one carat of genuine diamond. Isn't that a gorgeous
rhinestone bracelet fine silver plated it may be silver plated
but it is definitely not diamonds
but anyway it is unless you put a different bracelet
in it that's always a possibility
so here we have four brooches
that are they're nice they're pretty and they are rhinestones
but they're small so they don't tend to sell
for much more than ten dollars a piece so I usually
lot up like these three I would probably lot up
this one I might try selling on its own for under
20 and then there are several rings I'm trying
not to pick up too many rings anymore because they
are just a little bit longer tail items for me
this one's a Sarah Coventry and that's one brand
i don't pick up but here i am picking it up
so this one i just thought was different it's kind
of cool it's little enamel drops and this one
is an avon one i believe let me look this one is um
it's uncas u-n-c-a-s it is silver it says nickel silver
which is not silver at all it's actually
not um it's like german silver there's no silver
in it why they even say it i don't know but that's
how it's always been and it's just got some beautiful rhinestones
in it they almost look
garnet but they're not they're just a deep deep red
and this Uncas brand is an older brand it's
you can it has the mark on the inside it's a u with an arrow through it
so you need to put that
in the title because i believe there are people
that look for that because i do sell them here's
just a pretty rhinestone ring
and this one is marked this is another Uncas which is an is a
little bit older these rings probably twenty dollars
this is a nice pretty jade and this one
is avon and i believe it is marked inside there
yes avon anyway there's a couple rings there that
are just rhinestone rings
this was a fun locket it almost looks art deco-ish but i don't think
it's that old as a nice either this is onyx
or glass i can test for that does have a little bit
of tarnish back here a little unless it comes off it might need
to to just be cleaned but it's got
a nice size to it and this is something i'd probably sell
for thirty dollars and i will
probably find a chain for that Christmas tree
this is just little enamel spots on it so I'll
probably put it in with some other pieces
and this right here is not a set but I'm going to sell it
together and it's missing some of the brown colored
or orange colored rhinestones on each
like one earrings each of the earrings are missing one
and the brace the brooch is missing one too
so anyway I will probably I mean is it worth your time
to spend looking for the size rhinestone that
you need and gluing it in the gluing part
is not the time-consuming part time-consuming part is
finding the right rhinestone so I don't know
it's probably worth $25 as is maybe $20 and if I
replace the rhinestones I might list it at 30
so I get another five dollars. I'm not sure that I
want to put the time in so I might just list it that way.
This is really cool. I'm going to see
if my husband will put a new battery in this but it's
an old digital watch ring. I thought that
was cool. I haven't looked them up in a long time.
I have no idea what they're worth. Probably 20
bucks i'm not sure here's a brooch that is broke it had a stem on it
but i think still think it's
wearable just like that that would be so cute on like a jean purse
or jean jacket i think that's
adorable and then there's some little different little brooches
and pendants down here this
is actually a watch chain pulls out and it expands
in and out and these and this is guilloche that's
what guilloche looks like without the enamel
on it it's machine cut pattern that is always
symmetrical and these things sell for about 20 25 dollars
and this is a really cool big locket with
the three starbursts on it again it's huge i found some huge lockets
this this week this weekend
look at the size of that um this one has a long
chain and i probably will list it at what do you
think 30 35 found some Joan Rivers earrings they're probably
not the prettiest in my opinion
but everybody has different tastes Joan Rivers there's
the little cartouche with her name on it
they're half hoops and I would call that enamel it's kind
of got it like a clear resin over top
of enamel or something
but yeah Joan Rivers I sell individually all the time and here's
some Trifari I believe these hoops are Trifari as well
so I usually collect Trifari earrings
until i get about not like three or five
and then put them up as a lot especially when they're
plain like that if they're really something special i'll
do them separate and i think we do
have a pair in here that i will be doing separate
this is a Monet it is in excellent condition
the gold just looks beautiful on it
and the rhinestones are so sparkly and up here it has
a hook clasp and once in a while you have to look inside the hook
because the name is on the inside
of the hook it's not on the outside of the hook
so sometimes you have to look in there
and I believe it's a choker like a 16 inch
so that one's probably a $30 one and this one she
had a higher price on it but I paid it
because everything else was so cheap this one I think
she had marked at 10 or 15. But it is real pearls.
Let's look close. You can see the different
variations of sizes. And they kind of have this oblong look to them.
That makes them more
freshwater pearl.
And they taper down to round ones more so.
But they're all just slightly
different. They are knotted.
And if you take them and rub them
together they have like a sandy feel
to them and this is sterling silver
and this has a different type of clasp on it, it's like a snap clasp
nice heavy duty one and it
is marked on the back here it
is marked 925 BDM I'm
not positive what
that is but some name brand but pretty set of pearls
and I'm gonna guess $50 on them so this
is a cute little trinket this is a lipstick little container
which i have to clean that out
i hate cleaning these things out yuck it's disgusting
but i will clean it out before i
take photos of it it is marked looks like cara
cara gnome boston distributor but i just thought
it was a really cute little lipstick container
and it's probably worth 15 bucks i don't know i
have to look it up because I don't know
if I've ever sold one like that. And she had this pretty
little dainty bracelet. This is like a $15 to $18 one.
Here's a coral bracelet chain and it's marked
on the back here and these are probably $18.
This one is a Kirk's Folly. I picked it up even though
have to have the battery replaced
but look at the the chain on this it's so cute it's adorable love
kirk's folly stuff um again uh if it if it works it'll
be worth more um probably 50 and this one
is a Speedle, Speedle however you want to pronounce it
um this one says bud it's etched with bud
There's a little push lock on it.
Always marked on the back, Speedle. I always say
Speedle. And it's a curb-link chain.
And I like to pick them up even if it does
have Bud's name on it.
There's a Bud out there that might want it or somebody to
give it to Bud as a gift. So probably 25 to 35.
Here's a plastic, I would not call
this thermoset it doesn't have that pearlized look
to it it's just a plastic one but it is
a great old 50s 60s vintage piece
and this is probably a 20 to 25 this one the lady made a
point to specifically tell me
that this is from another country she said a nun sent it to her
as a gift and it is um millefiori probably italy
is where it came from to me it just looks really
cheap made if you look at the beads they're just
not the quality that you see like in Murano it's
like the layers on these are sloppily put together
they're just blobbed together like the yellow
orange and clear. You can see the separation of them,
where Murano just seems to blend everything
nicely, but they have the gold caps on them,
so that tells me it probably is from Murano, or from
Italy, and it's still pretty.
It's still a really cute bracelet.
This one probably $35, and then
this one is pretty i love these gold pebbled style
this one is marked Sarah Coventry again
it's going to be harder to sell because it's Sarah
but this is a really cool classic style
i think it'll sell faster because it's
the classic style all right let's move over to the flea market
tray take a quick look here everything i got start up here some
of these bracelets so i got this
enamel one which i thought was kind
of cool it has little confetti style designs in it it is not
marked it's just a bangle
but this is pretty pretty cool i think i would say probably 20 25
this is a nice etched starburst clamper
or no it's kind of a push lock you push down push down on it
and it clamps underneath like that.
These are probably in the 25 to 30 range.
This one it was
kind of part of a box of stuff that I bought from one guy
and I threw this one into the box because
I thought it could possibly be sterling but I tested it.
It is not. The beads are stone but the
other silver part is not sterling
so that one's probably a $15 one if that this one is sterling
it's made with push lock it's missing the safety clasp
and you almost have to take the clasp out
once in a while to see if it's marked
because this one is on the clasp the light catches it
right it says 925 and it's worth like 19
in sterling by itself which i'll probably list it
for 40 no probably 45 50
and again i i had bought it for 16
but it averaged out over overall for
less than that but $16 and it's worth $19 to $20 in sterling
and up here we have a Monet chain
and this was kind of a cool ring this was thrown
in my little box from one guy it's just a different
style love that almost looks like a crown that's
so pretty and it's not gold it's just rhinestones
but it's a really different one I don't pick
up Sarah and guess what here's another Sarah
I really didn't look to see the name brand of this because
this was part of the box deal I made with this guy.
I was throwing pieces in a box just to get one price
and realize this is a Sarah.
But I still think it's really pretty.
But it's only worth like $15.
So you got to really watch your Sarah Coventry pieces.
And this one is so cool.
This is one of my favorite pieces of the day.
it's got some little silver capped balls
in with blue underneath and these little like
not plexiglass little uh plastic little drops nuggets
on a charm bracelet this is probably a
$35 one and here's a pretty ring it's a rubellite stone has
the point on the top see that and it's
bright orange like fire red pretty has
that pretty dog tooth bezel or prong set but it's just
a basic ring it's a little bit older you can tell
by the metal on it this one was pearl this one i
think she charged me three bucks for originally
my cost on my flea market purchases was about
$4.95 each. Rub them together and they feel a little sandy.
This is sterling. It is made in
China. It says it here, made in China, $9.95.
I did make sure of everything, tested it, and
if you look at the pearls closely,
you can see they are knotted, and they are kind of different
shapes. So yeah, that's a good sign that it's real.
This piece right here was another sterling
piece it's marked all over the place sterling
on this clasp on these little hooks it's marked
everywhere it looks pretty sterling i believe it's just plated it
is very lightly magnetic
but it's a i feel like um a 70s 80s chain
and then we have this gorgeous pendant which is
on backwards so i need to do a little repair work i need
to just flip it around but look at
this camphor glass is so pretty this is this is my favorite
because you know i love victorian
but look at that look at how the glass is cut it's
a little bit different style of camphor but
that's pretty much what it is with a little stone in the middle
so this piece with this
silver plated chain on it i probably will mark it
at it's in the 80s i'm guessing 70 to 90
somewhere in that range this one is so pretty it's like
a bluish purple tanzanite it's like
i think it's chalcedony i believe you look real close you can kind
of see it kind of has like a
quartz look to it it's transparent
but slightly transparent but mostly opaque with crystals
on the inside you can tell it's stone it's cold
to the touch this was part of my little box deal
from the guy these are fun sliders this goes up
and down you can kind of make the tassels hang
looser if you want with the little pearls on the end
and these caps i like these little caps
and it's a rope chain no clasp this is probably
a 30 dollar piece this one's really cool too it has a
bar chain that makes me believe
that this is a little bit older get the tassel straight
look at these pretty little blue crystals
in oval not even round that is so cute and then
it has a spring ring clasp but as you can see
this spring ring clasp well it healed itself
earlier i was saying i needed to adjust it
but i don't have to i'm glad it healed itself
and then check this out talk about large lockets wow
this is a 1928 brand has so much etching to it
they really do nice work to make it look vintage
but some of these pieces are newer that is a huge
picture you can carry around with you in that one
this is probably a 30 35 dollar one and look at
cute little spoon.
I believe it was a little salt spoon and somebody added at
one point in time a brooch or turned it into a brooch.
It's got a little C
clasp on the end there until it
was soldered on at some point. Has a little
bit of wear there but overall it has wear
and I just think that makes it
adorable. And I seen these two little mini mesh purses.
They're coin purses.
this one's a coin purse this is actually
for holding a rosary look at the sides on these
i think these are so adorable
and i sell these all the time this is a keychain
holder but you can put whatever you want in here your little treasure
and this one actually opens
like this and i think they're gonna sell for 35
to 50 usually in that range just depends
and I found a lipstick holder I just love buying
from this one lady she has such cute little stuff
and of course you have to clean that all out
for the buyer you can't ship it with any makeup in it
but it has some wear to it has some little tarnished spots
but it's probably not worth
any more than $15 but I thought I'd give it a try
for once something different I haven't had in a
while and i found two etches etch etches etched lockets
from the same guy and these you know they
always sell for 50 to 80 dollars depending i think
these are so cute again these are older ones
look at the sparkle
on this silver one they you got
to make sure they snap closed too and you can
adjust this little thing you just got to be careful
because it breaks off and you push it
inwards to make it tighter so it snaps nicely that one
was marked see that that's what you want it to
do and then you can also put a jump ring on it
this one has a little hoop but this one is missing
a jump ring that would be very helpful to the buyer
if they want to add their own chain they
can't really add a chain like that and if they have
to add a jump ring you might get a return
because a lot of people just don't have
the capability of doing that so that's the fun stuff
i found at the flea market
and the yard sale let me pull up some more yard sale items here's some
more fun stuff so look at this big bright yellow beaded necklace
so fun it's got a little satin
balls like the christmas ornaments on it
and it has matching earrings and it has some other
earrings i'm going to throw in with it too they all kind
of go with the necklace that one that
whole set of three will probably be i'm gonna guess 35 dollars
because it has two pairs of earrings
with it and how about this here's another bright yellow one
and these are all little glass beads
this one's Japan and this is probably a $30 one for the set
and I found this cute little
rhinestone bracelet it is not marked
but I love the clasp on it you could actually wear it where
the clasp was on top if you like instead of this way
but that's just another $20 one and then I
have these three little earrings right here that are not marked
and I probably will lot them with
other like earrings and we have a bomb party pair of earrings
which they're probably not worth a
whole lot maybe 15 to 20 dollars
and then all of these let me show you the ring first
a little goldstone ring this is marked mm
not sure about that but it is a substantial
ring it's got a ring sizer in it you can adjust to your size
which i kind of like but it's such
a pretty ring i love gold stone it's glass it's actually glass it's
not stone this this this this
are all swarovski these are so sparkly
so pretty and little clip pearl
ones they're all clip they
all have the little swan on the back
and this one says swarovski and if you don't see the word
swarovski but you see this swan
that's still swarovski just nice little pairs of earrings i
think these four will go for probably
at least thirty dollars a set they are definitely small
but they still will be pretty good this one right here is Trifari
and this one i'll sell separate
these i might find some more Trifari to go
with them maybe three pairs because it's pretty
traditional two little turtle brooches let's pull
them up they're adorable came from the same lady
little turtle collector i'm going to put these two together
and i'll probably sell them for
20 20 to 25 so that's from one yard sale
this is from another yard sale she had a lot of rosaries
this is absolutely gorgeous pink ab and like a smoky ab
and these purple ones are so pretty
check them out they're glass but they're really pretty
and these are glass i don't sell plastic
ones so all of these are glass
and this one i sell metal metal ones are good this one's probably
worth the most even though the other one's got lots more bling
this one's probably 75 i don't
know i'm just guessing i really haven't looked one up in a while
because i haven't had one in a while
but probably 45 50 and these might be more in the 25
to 35 range maybe less and then i have a couple
pieces that need fixing little locket this chain
this clasp does not work and this one this is not
centered on here so i think this one's an avon
and that one probably is a 15 piece so that's the
extent of my yard sale and finds from the weekend yard sale
and you have to go to so many different
places and you just never know what you're going to find
so i hope you had good luck this weekend
every weekend's different so get out there
and find them sales and hit as many as you can
