I finally got around to filming a comprehensive jewelry tour to show you guys all my favourite pieces that I love to style most frequently! I hope you like it, and feel free to drop any questions you have in the comments.
Zabz showcases her diverse jewelry collection, blending affordable finds, mid-range statement pieces, and ethical fine jewelry. She emphasizes the importance of tarnish-resistant materials, nature-inspired aesthetics, and the emotional value of sentimental items, offering tips on how to elevate simple outfits through creative styling and thoughtful curation.
Welcome to my jewelry tour. There's going to be affordable jewelry and fine jewelry and everything in between so let's get started.
Wearing everything at once is looking kind of funny. Swarovski. Swarovski. Swar-
You know, you think you know how to pronounce a name. Ow. Ow. That's cool.
Hi friends, welcome or welcome back to my channel.
My name is Zabz and I love all things fashion and handbags and jewelry. Today I'm doing a jewelry tour. Yay!
You guys often ask me where I get my jewelry from. It's not my most frequently asked questions
but it gets sprinkled in between comments here and there. Mostly
I recognize that it's a lot of people asking where I get my
everyday jewelry from like the ones that are always on my person
but I think there's also been a lot of questions asking me what jewelry brands I recommend and where I like to shop, etc.
So this video has been a long time coming.
I've been trying to organize my thoughts and kind of figure out what type of video I want to do.
So for this video, I decided to go with a jewelry tour, but I'm gonna disclose that this isn't really a jewelry tour of everything
I own. It's more highlighting the pieces that I actually wear most frequently and I get the most use out of.
I'm a little bit of a hoarder when it comes to jewelry.
So I will hold on to pieces that I no longer wear that no longer even fit me
but you guys don't need to see those. You just want to see the ones that I actually get a lot of use of, right?
And actually on my to-do list is to upgrade my jewelry storage system.
I need a good way to have them all in one place
so I can see everything in order to get the full benefits of the accessories.
But right now they're kind of split in various parts of the house.
So I can't really show you guys where I keep them, but I will show you my bedside jewelry holder
which is this little pot thing that I painted at one of my friend's birthdays.
This one holds a lot of my rings. Anyway, enough chit-chat. Let's get right into it.
My first category is affordable jewelry.
I love this category so much because it can be very misleading.
Affordable jewelry doesn't mean that you have to go into like H&M and Zara and buy costume jewelry.
No, no.
If you actually pay attention to what you like, you can actually find really good places that sells good affordable jewelry.
So let's say you like chunky jewelry like the ones I'm going to feature first.
This is a chunky bangle, which I love so much. It is so easy to wear.
It has one little clasp and let me put it on.
I also got this dome ring to go with it.
You guys, you have no idea how special this bangle is to me because I have the tiniest wrists and no
bangles ever fit me and I love chunky bangles, but it is a challenge finding some that fit me.
So this is a thin wrist friendly bangle for all my thin wrist girlies out there.
And this is from Ana Luisa, both the chunky dome ring and the bracelet.
They are tarnish resistant and I can confidently tell you that because I've had both of these pieces for
over two years now and I've worn them to a lot of places. I've taken them on vacation with me.
They've been exposed to water. It's not like I wear them in the shower or anything,
but just regular daily wear and tear has not done any damage to them.
You can see they're not even really dented or scratched or anything. See what I mean? High quality, but affordable.
Also, I'll put the websites and things in the description box.
But yeah, you'll find everything, all the information about all these pieces that I'm sharing down below.
So please check it out if you're curious. Anyway,
affordable jewelry number one. Number two is jade pieces. This is a ring that I picked up in Korea
a year ago. I love her so much. I get so much wear out of it. Jade is not a very hard material.
It can break. In fact, I actually purchased a similar one for my sister. Hers fell and broke.
But that's the funny thing. Mine has dropped to the floor many times before and it's not broken.
So it's kind of like by luck or maybe the kind of floor it hits.
But this is one of my favorite ways to add color
to my jewelry set, you know, when it's not from color stones or gems or whatever.
This is so fun. And yes, it's affordable.
I believe this was $30, $23, something like that. Jade rings are quite affordable and they are pretty widely available.
Hopefully you have some kind of Chinatown or some kind of
similar vibe place close by and you should check out their stores because they actually
import jade and stuff from Hong Kong and China and other places and they have good stuff.
It's on my wish list to add more jade jewelry to my collection.
But yeah, jade jewelry can vary like in price.
I'm sure it's about the quality and the origin and all that kind of stuff.
But you can get very affordable options is what I'm trying to say.
Not that I'm an expert on jade or anything else.
Please bear that in mind. And then our third category within this category is Etsy jewelry, guys.
Don't sleep on Etsy jewelry because I recently got this beautiful ring. Look how gorgeous it is.
I just I knew I wanted like a big more statement type of ring
but I didn't want something that's so chunky because at the end of the day, I'm quite small.
So I don't want to be I don't know wearing anything that's going to overwhelm my myself.
So I got this one. Let me try it on for you. Wearing everything at once is looking kind of funny
but I'm keeping all the silver tones on this hand. This is a pink quartz stone on
sterling silver, which is good for me because I need either silver or stones or
gold to not have an allergic reaction. I'm very allergic to any other type of ring.
I don't know what it is. Even when they say it's hypoallergenic or surgical steel. I have still had reactions to it.
I don't know what it is. Maybe they're lying about the surgical steel thing, but I can't handle it.
So I just know that silver and gold and you know jade and stuff works best on me.
I'll try to link the exact ring that I got from Etsy, but there are many Etsy shops
that have the most stunning jewelry, but I gotta admit this is my first time actually buying a ring from Etsy.
I've purchased many other things from Etsy, but this is my first ring and I'm a big fan.
So I'll probably be getting lots more. That's all I had for my affordable category right now.
But there are other categories that have affordable things in them.
So in our next category, we have our custom jewelry and this is where I want to show you guys a very exciting item
which also happens to be the newest item to my collection.
Ta-da!
How pretty is this ring?
I have to give a shout out to Dove Eggs for gifting me this custom ring experience because the results really blew me away.
I have been collecting and growing my jewelry collection for many years now
but only recently have been investing in more fine jewelry pieces. Even then I was uncertain about a custom jewelry process.
However, the Dove Eggs team were very collaborative throughout the whole process, sent me detailed images of the design and later images of the ring
itself until I was fully satisfied with the final result.
I realized they can really work with clients to work out a piece within almost any budget.
So this ring is made of sterling silver and coated in 14 karat gold because I specifically wanted a cocktail ring in gold tone.
For the center stone, I knew I wanted something different so I selected a loose stone from their collection.
This fancy vivid blue center stone was grown and cut in-house by Dove Eggs.
It's their own proprietary color diamond and really stood out to me when I was browsing their website.
The surrounding smaller stones are all lab-grown diamonds as well. Since becoming more aware of the diamond and gem industry's practices,
I decided I wanted to go the lab-grown diamond route to make sure that the diamond sourcing was more ethical and less harmful to the environment.
They also have a free custom quote process where if you already have a ring you've been dreaming of,
you can submit a free quote request and their team will guide you through the design and pricing process.
So thank you again to Dove Eggs for my first ever custom ring experience. In our next category,
I wanted to give a little spotlight on my mid-range jewelry collection. So far, almost all of my pieces in this category consist
of jewelry from the same brand, but I will kind of give you guys a rundown of every piece.
I have a bit of a matching set situation for these first ones,
so I want to show you this first. These ones are so cute.
I have always kind of had a soft spot for bulbous gold rings as well as silver rings,
but I just haven't really gotten there yet. But this ring, for example, it looks like a little donut or something.
It's so cute. These pieces are mostly from previous brand collaborations,
but they're all from the same brand called HeFang and they're really creative with their pieces too.
I feel like they have this really nice fun twist on modern jewelry pieces.
So to me, modern jewelry pieces means that they don't exactly have visible prongs or those dainty
clasps and closures and things like that. Things are a little bit more soft around the edges, if that makes sense.
That's what I interpret as modern jewelry.
But this jewelry brand kind of has made things a little bit more fun and whimsical as well as modern.
So they have their own aesthetic. These chunky gold tone earrings, chunky ring, and similarly necklace with chunky bits on them.
They're not like pendants or anything.
It's just I feel like in the recent few months or so there has been a shift towards
necklaces that have some kind of beadwork or something in it that has a little bit more
attention-grabbing details on it. And this is a more subtle version of that.
That's what drew me to it. I find that really pretty and cool. Nice, right? This line in particular,
I wear it whenever I'm wearing a very very subtle simple outfit because these items are
kind of guaranteed to grab some attention. On the other hand,
some other pieces that I have from them are all silver tone and very very cute as well. More on the soft feminine side though.
So these earrings, they kind of have cubic zirconia and little pearls in them. Fake pearls. The three
necklaces that I just showed you, these three necklaces are all silver toned. I love that.
They all have different kind of details. This one has more just pearls all around but just different sizing.
There's some bigger and smaller pearls on the same line. And then the other one has chain pearl mix.
That's really cute as well. Love the silver pearls, by the way.
That's a nice touch. And then there's the like tennis necklace bracelet situation. It's not a bracelet. It's a necklace.
I don't know why I called it that. But yeah, everything is far more affordable than
real diamonds. But at the same time, the quality is so good. They're sturdy.
You can wear them every single day and sweat in them and not worry about breaking them or
tarnishing them and then them looking very cheap.
I feel like what ends up happening is if you really try to go for the most affordable type of jewelry,
sometimes, not always, you might find some really good pieces.
But more often than not, the jewelry tarnishes way quicker than you think. In under a year,
you don't really want to wear it anymore because either the gems have fallen out or the silver no longer looks
silver or polished anymore and looks too bad. So you end up having to trash it.
So what ends up happening is you're contributing more to landfill. Not intentionally.
I'm not passing judgment on anyone, but it does end up wasting a lot of money as well.
So that's just something that I learned the hard way when I was in high school and university.
I just always wanted more and more and more.
But even though I love the pieces and I wanted to just wear them every single day,
they were not wearable. By the end of the year,
they looked so bad. Even though I am very careful with how I wear my pieces.
And anyway, the last piece that I have, actually not the last piece,
but the last piece from this line of jewelry is this very beautiful necklace.
I love that the chain has these interchangeable silver embedded with cubic zirconia.
I feel like that just makes it a little bit more sparkly, a little bit more feminine.
And so yeah, that's it for that genre of HeFeng items in the mid-range category. Very stunning. Very beautiful.
They definitely do manage to level up many of my outfits.
It looks so much more elevated and fancy, if I may say so myself. They look very, very expensive.
And that's the thing, with good mid-range jewelry, if you get the good stuff,
it should really be able to look very, very high-end. At the end of the day,
jewelry does serve the purpose of being a little bit extra and making you feel a little bit more expensive and nice.
So there's nothing wrong with expecting a lot from your pieces, you know?
And then the last pieces from HeFeng that I wanted to share with you guys. Wait, actually it's not just HeFeng.
I forgot I had something else to show you guys in here. These pieces are proper fairy core. It's so cute.
They could pass as little butterflies or little flowers, like when you put them in.
I have worn them for a Halloween costume where I was- what was I dressed as last year?
I was dressed as a hobbit. Yeah, a little hobbit. And I wore this cute little outfit and wore these with it.
Oh my gosh, the ring is stuck on there. Let me wear the ring for you. How adorable is that?
I love- it's not necessarily a pop of green.
It's moss green, which is very on brand for me.
Many people have pointed out that whenever I get dressed in my styling videos, I often match my cushions and my decor.
It's because I love green, guys. There's a reason. So I think this is a very nice interesting take on jewelry.
Love it. Very cute. Kind of reminds me of what I was into when I was younger,
but you're never too old to wear whatever was trending when you were a kid, okay? Y2K aesthetic.
And then also I do love me some Swarovski. Swarovski. Swarovski.
You know, you think you know how to pronounce a name and then some time goes and you realize you actually have no idea
how it's pronounced. Anyways, Swarovski. Swarovski.
My friends got me these earrings my 19th birthday or something and they have held up great.
I wear them for mostly special occasions because I think they're just the perfect amount of sparkle and it dangles just a little bit
off my ear. Super cute. Very dainty. And again, anything that reminds me of a little bit of nature vibes,
this looks like little leaves or something. Makes me happy.
I love when jewelry takes inspiration from nature. One of my favorite ones are called motifs.
And I think more jewelry brands should do it so I can have even more nature-inspired jewelry pieces on me.
Shoot, I'm so off my game right now.
There were actually a few more rings that I wanted to show you from HeFeng. You guys know
I love my stacking talks in my other videos.
So I did manage to get these rings from HeFeng. Love me a little stacking moment.
I even did a little stacking in my necklaces today. Very subtle.
I wanted to keep it dainty, but isn't it cute? So nice. Anyway, we'll get to that later.
Oh, our fourth category is watches. I feel like the way I use watches is very much jewelry accessories category.
It's not like a separate thing for me. Watches have to be dainty and pretty and go with my jewelry.
Hence why I have actually quite a lot of watches. I realize I only have one watch
that's a little bit in the silver tone-ish category, but let me show you.
Okay, so my first watch that I'm wearing today because it goes with my outfit is this stunning Lola Rose watch.
Oh my gosh, please focus. Yeah, Lola Rose has some really nice dainty watches. Very retro aesthetic.
The vibes are very immaculate and pretty. I think the details of the strap is what really drew me to this one.
I love a good leather strap that has a nice, um, is it called croc embossed? Is this considered croc?
It's so small that you can't even tell what kind of embossed pattern it is,
but I do love this one. And then in a similar vein, because I do love my leather straps,
I went with this other Lola Rose watch that had this pretty blue, blue, this very pretty green watch face.
What did I say about green? I'm just obsessed.
It's like, it's one of those colors that I will never get sick of and I think I get it from my grandma.
My grandma's favorite color is also green. So I get that from my grandma. Shout out to her because she always watches my YouTube videos.
Anyway, this is what I meant by silver tone. It has like this tiny mixed metal situation going on just in the strap.
But hey, if you're wearing mixed metals, this watch passes that category.
So this one has an interchangeable strap and let me show you what that one is like. Ta-da!
Very pretty, right? I love this green too. What is this? Is this also sage green?
Anyway, it goes so nicely with the watch face, but right now I have been wearing this watch mostly with its metal strap.
So I've been leaving this one on more, but I just wanted to share that it does have this pretty leather strap as well.
Versatility. You can wear it more ways.
More ways. And then the last Lola Rose watch is this one. Y'all, I love this so much.
I don't know what it is about different metal straps. They feel totally different.
This one has more of these little bits on them. So I guess it's a lot more flexible.
So you barely feel it on when it's on your wrist.
Like you can move your wrist all directions and all angles and this will be coming with you right along.
Anyway, my point is this is not stiff at all.
And the black watch face is just kind of a baddie moment.
Reminds me of some watches that my mom used to wear in the 90s. Very pretty.
Again, I just wanted to say you will not have any small wrist problems with Lola Rose because all their watches are on the dainty side.
So yeah, very cute. Not that big wrists wouldn't look good wearing small watches too.
I think there's something really pretty about that as well.
So it's just preference, I believe. And then my other, I think this is my most worn watch ever,
partially because it is pretty old. I bought this in
2016. I was very young. I bought it in Taiwan and at the time this was very expensive for me.
I think I spent like $120 or $140 for it.
I had to save up because I was doing a little university internship then in Taiwan.
So I was like living off a very tiny salary.
But I saved up and purchased this and it was very exciting for me because I think in
2016 was when these types of watches were very very popular and trending.
I think it was like, it was really hard to get my hands on it.
This is not a hard watch to get right now. Anyone can get it.
But this was the release of the vintage style. At this point I have forgotten all the names of everything.
This is called the Illuminator. Does that help? Is that the name of it?
Anyway, Casio watches are always a little bit vintage looking to me and I like that.
I associate them with 80s movies and stuff because I feel like that's the era that these became very popular.
I may be wrong. Maybe even older than that. Might be 70s.
What do I know? I'm talking about things
I don't really know much about. And then the next watch and last watch is this watch from Pascal.
I like this watch a lot.
It's just that the green is such a pop of color that I don't reach for it as much as my other watches.
And if you look at it, compare it to my other watches, it's quite a bit thicker. Not in a bad way.
I think I really still like it. Now that I'm seeing it,
it's not so. Always thinking maybe the green is a little bit too attention grabby, but it's pretty. Who cares?
I'll wear it more. This is my last watch that I wanted to showcase today.
This is my watch category and I love them. I feel like at this point
I'm very happy with where my watch category is. I do, I still want a silver watch. Is that a little bit much?
I'm not going to actively go out and purchase one. It's not, that's on my shopping list.
It's just something on the back of my mind that I won't say no to if a brand wants to reach out and we want
to work together. Anyway, next category. All right, in fifth place, we have fine jewelry. You guys, this
category has a bunch of things that are very, very special to me.
So first I want to shout out to my husband for my wedding rings.
Let me take these other ones off. My husband got me this engagement ring and it was such a surprise.
I had no idea. Everything went so nicely. Maybe I'll share the story some other time,
but it was exactly the kind of ring I wanted. This ring is from Brilliant Earth.
I believe they're based in Washington, like in Seattle or something like that.
That's maybe where their head office is, but I really like their website.
It's very much later after I found out where he got it and everything. I realized the website is very user friendly.
You can try different settings and different stone shapes and all that kind of stuff.
Mind you, most websites at this point kind of have that going on.
But yeah, at the time I found that very, very cool. And yeah, Brilliant Earth has just very good customer service.
I do probably need to send this in to get it
recoded because after some time you wear white gold so much that the like white coating
is a platinum coating and that wears away and it becomes less shiny white.
So I do need to send it to them soon. This diamond is
Earth Mind Diamond. At the time that my husband was getting me my ring,
we didn't really know too too much about the effects that the diamond industry has on the planet and on the people.
So after that for my wedding ring, I decided that I wanted to go with fat grown diamonds.
So this diamond ring is from, oh my gosh, now it's one second. Let me look this up. It's called the True Gem.
I got my wedding ring from the True Gem and I specifically got it because I knew that they are
more ethical brand and they use like recycled gold and the majority of their diamonds that they source are
lab grown diamonds. So that's where I got this ring from. I knew I didn't want a matching wedding band with my engagement rings.
So that's why I went with a more chunky diamond band. I do love my wedding rings.
I feel like I never ever get sick of them, but I do travel with like a backup pair of rings.
Let me show you those ones.
Although I can't really tell you where these are from because my husband got these for me for like one year anniversary.
He got me matching rings with himself and they're from Korea. These ones you might have seen me wear them.
Sometimes I wear this on my right hand and sometimes when I'm traveling I wear it as my wedding set.
I do love them a lot. These are 14 karat gold and I don't think the the stone in it is diamond.
That's not the point of it.
It's just a very special set for me because it was so
new to me that he gave it to me for like one year anniversary.
I'd never received like this type of almost wedding band looking thing for like a one year anniversary, but it was super cute.
I loved it so much. So that is my other fine jewelry set.
That's kind of on par with my wedding rings. Aside from that,
my other fine jewelry brands that I want to highlight are the ones that I can actually link to you guys or like share with
you guys where I purchased because so many of my other jewelry pieces are either gifted long long time ago from my grandparents,
my parents for various special like milestone birthdays. And so those ones I don't know where they got it from.
I never asked. I just received them as gifts and I love them and wear them,
but I simply cannot tell you where I got them from. They're just from my family members.
This one is a really good one. It became one of my favorite everyday pieces.
I didn't know I liked a solid hair kind of pendant like this until I got it and I realized it's such a good staple.
It's from the brand Angara. I believe they only work with lab grown diamonds as well.
This is lab grown and the chain on it is not a removable chain. It's like it's like set.
So the one thing I like about necklaces like that is that when there's no pendant when you sleep,
it doesn't go behind you and then get stuck in your hair or get stuck in your other jewelry pieces or whatever.
It kind of stays put.
So yeah, that's something to keep in mind.
If you are the kind of person that's a little bit on the lazy side or just you like to wear your
necklace forever, you put it on and want to forget about it.
I would say get one of those that the pendant is not like a separate pendant from the chain.
It's like on the chain. Does that make sense?
I don't know. If there's another word for it, I wouldn't know.
I'm not aware of the name. And then the brand of this other dainty chain is EIDL.
They have very very fine jewelry. Like they're fine as in like tiny dainty.
And I think if you are into minimalist jewelry or stacking dainty pieces,
this is so the brand for you. And like I think I mentioned them in another video. Everything is modular.
So I got a couple of earrings from them too.
So they have studs like this and you could wear the studs on their own and also you could attach little
chain pieces that could add a little bit of extra bling to your ear. Same with this one.
So this is another piece on its own.
It's just a stud. Very pretty.
But then you add this little extra chain with the bits of diamonds on it. Lab grown, of course.
Everything is. And yeah, a little mismatched earring situation. Love it. EIDL pieces are also pretty.
So yeah, that's I think it for my fine jewelry pieces. In our sixth category, I have thrifted jewelry.
See, I mentioned that there's going to be more affordable jewelry coming up soon and thrifted jewelry
has its own category for me because you can really go like any which way with this.
So I went to a thrift store once and picked up this
necklace that I was like, wait, this is cool. I can I can layer it.
I can wear it any kind of way. And for like summer dresses or something, I double
do it like this. And I thought it was so cute. But you know what happened?
I didn't really like wearing it. I was like not really enjoying it that much.
It wasn't really my vibe. But then I did really like the shape and color of it.
So I wanted to incorporate it into my outfit some other way.
And now I basically exclusively wear it as a belt.
And let me kind of explain to you how I do that. I'm smacking myself.
I just wrap it around my waist like so looks kind of like a two layered type of belt.
And then I use a thin ribbon or something that I have from leftover from something else and just kind of tie the ends together.
And that always looks so cool.
It adds a little bit of a boho edgy chic vibe to my outfit that are a little bit too basic.
And it makes it so much cooler. And it's not like I don't have a lot of other types of belts.
Most of my belts are on the more chill side. They're all just leather, plain, whatever.
But this adds a little something something. So this is one of my favorite thrift finds that inadvertently
it was supposed to be a necklace, but I don't wear it as such.
So I do like it as a belt. I just had to show it in the
jewelry category because it's technically a necklace. I can still wear it as a necklace.
And then this one was gifted to me by my sister when we first started getting into thrifting.
She was like 17 and I was 19 and she got me these for my 19th or 20th birthday or something.
They're so cool. And like I said, because my wrists are small, kudos to her for finding actual
bangles that fit me because they're so cute.
Let me show you. Proper chunky bangles that do not fall off my wrist when I move my hands around. They look so cool.
They're a little loud though. I might have to take them off before I finish this video.
But isn't that so nice? Perfect. And they're proper brass or something.
So with time, the wear on it. Is patina the right word for metal or is it only used for leather?
Anyway, my point is when it's worn more and oxidizes or whatever, it doesn't oxidize in a ugly cheap way.
It looks like it's meant to be aged to look better. Does that make sense? Look at it close up.
It doesn't look brand spanking new or anything, but again, a good way it looks aged. In our next category, we have DIY jewelry.
I have one piece in this category. I've only gone into one workshop so far,
but I had to share it because there's so many more workshops like this or not even necessarily workshops.
You can just buy beads on online stores and make it yourself.
But I went to a workshop in Vancouver and made this beauty. How fun. I got inspired by the ocean pieces.
Okay, I just I saw this one charm with the little sea turtle against the blue water
and I just knew I wanted to make a whole necklace inspired by that one piece.
So that's how I went with this.
I got a little sun in the middle because it looks a little bit like a starfish,
but also looks like the sun, which why not? That's also related to the ocean.
Anyway, I find in the last year I got so much more into workshops that I could do with my friends and family.
It's a good way to keep your hands busy,
but at the same time you're getting some nice quality time and then at the end of it you take something home with you.
And how fun is that?
I feel like DIY jewelry can really add up like the price can go up the more things you add to it.
Like I said, you could also do DIY stuff by like ordering charms or beads or whatever.
Online and doing it yourself. That's not exactly cheap either.
So that's why I thought DIY category makes sense rather than putting this necklace in the affordable category.
I think this would come out to maybe 150 or 160 dollars because this is all silver.
The chain is silver and I believe the charms itself.
They're not silver, but they're tarnish resistant metals or something like that.
So they're very pretty but not exactly the most affordable either. And then in our last category I have pearls.
I felt like pearls deserve their own category because there's so many ways you could go about this.
I think pearls, it's not a trend.
It's always been like that classic look that mature rich ladies go for.
And it's not something that is very accessible to a lot of people.
But I think in the last couple of years I've been noticing more styling being done with pearl strings.
And I think that's cool. You normalize middle class and other people also wearing pearls.
And it's not that you have to wear the real deal. Like I have these ones.
They're like costume jewelry from Bae Beyond. I believe that's the name of the brand.
They have 1920s inspired dresses. Oh my gosh.
I have a couple of flappers dresses from them that are so stunning.
And I have worn them here and there for like halloween parties and stuff and I always wear these with it.
These are also from the same brand Bae Beyond if you want to check them out.
They have like affordable accessories and bags as well. They're so cute. Look at them.
It doesn't need to be real but these are such a fun little accessory to add to like a very simple outfit.
Because they're not a color like it's not like a colorful type of necklace or a bracelet.
It's not so overwhelming to the outfit, but it adds a little something feminine and something from another time almost.
It feels like it's from vintage times, old times. Can you see me?
I mean this light is just doing all kinds of things. Anyway, in the same category or I mean in the same budget
this necklace is also Bae Beyond and it is super long and surprisingly heavy.
So again, I don't really like to wear this as a necklace because it is simply way too long.
I think that's actually part of the flapper aesthetic like having super
long ass necklaces. Look how long this is. This is probably as tall as me if I don't double it.
Anyway, it has two strands of pearls.
There's a thinner strand and then there's a thicker strand. When I wore the flapper dresses
I wore it as a necklace, but it was actually heavy for my neck not to complain.
But I don't want to wear such a heavy piece around my neck.
So now I really enjoy wearing it as a belt and I have shown you guys a couple different times of
styling this around like a suede skirt or whatever and I just double it around my waist and it has this pretty drape
as a belt. You guys, any long
necklace that you don't wear, you can turn it into a belt. Don't even hesitate.
You can do all kinds of things with your accessories. It's not like just because it comes as a necklace
that's the only way you can wear it. And then the other
pearl necklaces that I have, I can't even see you guys. That's so much better.
Okay, and then in the same pearl category, I have a few more fun necklaces to show you guys. Get this.
This one is a freshwater pearl necklace and my mom's best friend
who was invited to my wedding, shout out to her, gave me this as my wedding present and I thought to myself
that is so cool. I feel like a grown adult woman now.
I have my own string of pearls to throw on for fancy date nights or something. It's not a costume jewelry
it's like real pearls, but I think it's freshwater pearls and it has a few little balls of gold as well.
So that's very nice of her. Beautiful piece.
I love it so much and it's very special to me just because it was given to me on our wedding day.
I don't know where she got it. Unfortunately, she came to visit us from Toronto, but I didn't have like a brand on it.
So this is another piece that was kind of giving heirloom vibes to me
so I had to share it with you guys. One of my favorite pearl pieces and then
more pearl pieces to show you guys. Guys, this just doesn't end. This category keeps going and going. Biwako pearls are
something else. So Biwako is a
it's a Japanese brand and they are very
creative. I feel like this is something that I wouldn't have expected for a pearl necklace.
The fact that they're such chunky pearls, they're freshwater pearls and they're very uneven and everything.
There's something so nice about it because pearl necklaces, the prices are so high because it's so rare to get exactly the same shape
and size pearls and like make a whole string out of it and etc.
But I think embracing the imperfection and the unevenness of these kind of pearls is very cool.
Also, it's like its own type of beauty and the fact that there's one red bead in there. That's cool.
The hardware I believe is 24 karat gold plated. Let me put it on.
This is definitely more of an investment piece. It's more expensive than other kind of freshwater pearls
but I do think I mean the size of it the design and everything is you know,
it explains the price. Very pretty piece. Not right now.
I mean with the other jewelry pieces that I have on it doesn't exactly work out because they're overlapping.
But you get it. You have to get the gist of it. This is one and then they also had this other one.
That's so cool.
This is a smaller one if you're feeling subtle and don't want to go for the really chunky look.
They always have these like really interesting closures. I like this one too.
It has the little red bead as well, but then the other parts are very tiny and more dainty.
So I find myself reaching for this one when I'm doing a more layered necklace look and then I reach for this bigger one
when I want one statement necklace. So that is everything for today's jewelry tour.
I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you have any more questions,
let me know in the comments or if you have any requests for upcoming fall videos. I'd be happy to oblige.
