Jamaal Magloire Foundation hosts 6th annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway

We're here in the community just handing out meals for Thanksgiving. We've got three different types. We've got a vegetarian option, potato gnocchi. We've got a traditional turkey holiday meal. And then we also have chicken breast with mashed potatoes. So it's a variety of options for everyone. I'm hearing about families and the pressures that they're facing for Thanksgiving in a lot of ways. I see that food prices are going up, gas is going up, there's a lot of challenges that we have here in our city and this is an opportunity not only for myself but for everybody that has a platform to try and help as little as it may seem because like I said I somebody gave me an opportunity and it's only right that I try and do the same today we came to just support the community and enjoy. We're appreciative of what Jamal McGuire did for our community because we don't really get a lot of love. We love it. Big him up. Thank you. So coming out to events like this is important to one support, help out, lift some boxes as well too, but also welcome the community in and show them listen this is what's available because a lot of the times when we have community events not many people are informed so the door-to-door or going in front of their faces like bringing them down, texting people, that's the best way to get people down to know resources are available and support is there as well i think it's important that we understand that these communities are very important in our ecosystem here in toronto there's a lot of culture value blue collar good people that don't often get recognize that need to be seen, need to have an opportunity, need to be acknowledged, and I'm going to do that. I have a platform. I'm going to use it to the best of my ability and make sure that changes are made again as little as or as much as I can while I'm still around.
