Saskatchewan soldier killed in Wainwright fire 'was living his dream'
Oct 23, 2026
What goes through any parent's mind
when they lose their child, their baby?
I'm just wondering what my future is going to be like without him
in our lives and without him being around.
He started saying when he was probably about five years old,
when I grow up, I'm going to be an army man.
People told him, you know, he had a lot of challenges
that he had to overcome and he didn't stop him.
so he was definitely like an achiever
and he overcame anything that you know was any obstacle that was
put in his way he was very loving I got a lot
of beautiful messages from his fellow brothers
in the military in the army that said that Sean you know
was their partner and that he never left
any of them behind he was always there supporting them
and encouraging them he wanted to be in the
army that was his dream we we once asked him i once
was on a call with him and said to him oh
you must only be dreaming about all the bombs
and everything you're blowing up and shooting your
weapon and he said mom i am not dreaming about
these things i'm living my dream that was his
exact words to me we cannot begin
to describe how grateful we are we didn't expect what has
happened like the support there's
so many people that we're grateful for but there's there's not a
person that hasn't shared their love with us not just in Prince Albert
but all over Canada
so many people we we're just grateful it's
been amazing it's actually quite overwhelming
