AI GeneratedThis video review explores the Iberostar Costa Dorado in Puerto Plata, evaluating its rooms, dining, beach, and amenities. The resort offers a tropical atmosphere with a focus on nature and family-friendly activities, providing a balanced all-inclusive experience that covers the essential needs of travelers seeking a relaxing getaway.
We're in Porta Plata and this place looks incredible but is Ibirastar Costa Dorado
actually worth booking? The room, the food, the beach, we're about to find out. Walking into
the resort, the main lobby is your first look at what's waiting beyond and just steps away
you'll find the bar serving up drinks throughout the day. I don't mind Ana, I don't mind, I don't
thank you. I like Ana, I like Ana. With the lobby behind us it was time to see what the
rest of the resort had to offer. At the center of the property is the main pool area with the
resort buildings and palm trees surrounding it. There's plenty of seating around the water along
with a swim-up bar and this is also where you'll find some of the daytime activities.
The entertainment team runs different games around the pool so depending on the time of day there can
be quite a bit happening here. If you get hungry around the pool you don't have to go very far.
There's plenty to choose from and while some of the food is fairly standard,
if you look around you can definitely put a pretty good plate together.
Everything is good, how are you doing? Now the beach is probably one of the areas you really
want to talk about. There's plenty of space, lots of shade and a long stretch to walk. Just keep in
mind the water and seaweed can change depending on the day and there are outdoor showers nearby
to rinse off before heading back to the resort. Let's talk about the room because this can really
make or break an all-inclusive stay. The room itself is fairly simple but there's a good amount
of space with two beds and a sitting area. The room I had was on the ground floor with a terrace
that opened up towards the pool. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and you also get a reusable water
bottle that you can refill around the property. Then there's the mini bar stocked with water,
soft drinks, juice and a few beers. Nothing overly fancy but overall it covers the basics pretty well.
One thing you'll notice walking around the property is just how much nature is mixed
into the resort. There are mango trees growing throughout the grounds and you'll regularly come
across ducks and even peacocks just wandering around. It's one of those little details that
gives the resort a bit more character. And that tropical feel continues throughout the property
with quiet little spots like this tucked away from the busier parts of the resort.
The resort also has a spa on site offering a range of treatments and services.
For families there's also a dedicated kids area with playground equipment and a shallow pool for
the younger ones. As Yolanda said this is different type of entertainment for the kids. It's not like
usually you know the resort is just kids club or just staying or just doing whatever they want.
In here we have a programmation. We have a programmation and we have different activities
for the kids every day. And the thing that we have is like we want to give them an experience,
a whole experience. We want to give them something that they take home. As you know I think Yolanda
has told you about wave of change, the politics of taking care of the ocean and everything right?
You know about it? So a star camp is part of that. All the activities that we have are related to
take care of the ocean, take care of the environment but also have fun. Like we don't want
to make them feel that they are in the school but we want they like take something. Like they're
playing in the pool. We put like a lot of things pretending they are trash and they have to
take care of the ocean. They're playing outside and they have to recycle different plastic and
this and this. So the thing that we want to give them is like that. It's like different places,
a programmation, education and the first thing for us the most important is the safety as you
know. So we are open here every day 10 to 5 for kids between 4 and 12 years old, 4 to 12.
We have two groups as you can see. We have monkeys and dolphins. We have the green ones are
monkeys and the blue ones are dolphins. The blue ones, when we have like a lot of them,
we separate them. As today it's just like five. That was it guys. I hope you guys enjoyed this
