My First Day in Barbados 🇧🇧 Took an Unexpected Turn! | Barbados Vlog 2026

What's up my YouTube family and new viewers. In today's video we're heading to beautiful Barbados. No time wasted we're starting at the airport and jumping straight into exploring as soon as we arrive. Over the next few days we'll be catching the vibes, exploring the island and seeing what Barbados has to offer. Let's get started. We flew WestJet from Toronto to Barbados about a five and a half hour flight and upgraded to extra leg room. Honestly it made the trip way more comfortable. On the flight food is available for purchase plus champagne and wine if you want a little treat. Looking out the window as we land the greenery looks so beautiful and we're so excited for our trip even though we see it's a little bit overcast. This is how it works in Barbados. We walk down the stairs from the plane with both exits open and you get to feel that nice island breeze right away. I actually really like arriving this way. After getting off the plane there are buses waiting to take everyone to the other side of the airport where you officially go through immigration and arrivals. Here we are in Barbados can't wait to start exploring this beautiful island tip for anyone arriving in Barbados fill out the online customs declaration form before your flight it makes getting through immigration so much faster fun fact Rihanna grew up in Barbados this is the baggage claim area guys and then this is the duty the liquor duty free we grabbed the bottle from duty free to kick off our trip this is the arrival section at the airport it's busy with lots of taxis waiting for passengers make sure you have the pickup Barbados app it's faster more popular and has way more drivers ready to get you around there's Uber too but we waited forever for a car just so you have an idea our 22 minute 6 kilometer taxi ride costs 44 Barbados dollars or 22 US dollars. Taxi rates can vary but this gives you a ballpark. My first time in Barbados and I'm so excited. This trip is intense. Straight from the airport we immediately dive in. The streets are clean, the greenery looks really nice and now we're heading to Savion de Bay to grab a bite and start exploring. We stopped at Savion de Bay just Just to grab some food, we heard this is a must-visit spot in Barbados. They have the good jerk chicken, bossy? Jamaican jerk. Jamaican or Barbados? Barbados. Jamaican? Oh yeah? Respect, respect. Bless up yourself, man. Alright, so we're here in Barbados with Evan, the hot man, you know? Bless up and have some good jerk chicken here. Why people should check out your spot? Because it's a real Jamaican yard man cooking jerk. Authentic. Yeah, authentic jerk. What kind of food do you have otherwise from jerk chicken? We have fried chicken No, we have lamb We have pork We have fried chips Fried chips? Yeah We have breadfruit but we don't have any breadfruit right now Oh no breadfruit? Oh really? My favorite We have lobster but we don't have none right now What are the must-try that you have? Jerk chicken Jerk chicken? Yeah Alright, alright How much for the jerk chicken? Alright, you can give me $30 $30? Okay, no problem, no problem Really, really wanted to try the jerk chicken but I'm more of a fan of fried chicken So I got the fried chicken instead, and Chanel went with the fried snapper. So I'm here at Savion de Bay, trying the fried chicken with the rice and peas and plantain. Hmm, I feel like plantain, once it's ripe, it's gonna taste really good. That one tastes sweet. Rice and peas, Jamaica. Rice and peas, not bad at all. It's not Jamaica, but it's not bad at all. Fried chicken is so good. It's rather juicy. Yeah, the fried chicken is actually juicy still. It's really good. Savion de Bay. Check for your arm snap a bit so we can get out of here too. Driving past the cruise port, checking out the street and all the little island sites, it's awesome to finally see it up close. We are making a quick stop at Starbucks. You can get a mobile order pickup. Oh Rahim they have the same stuff. I wonder if it's like the one in Jamaica. Something with the espresso shot. What are you getting? or should we just get one thing okay what would you recommend high caffeinated beverage which one is that is that hot or cold cold okay let me try it what's it called okay let me try that can i try that one and then um i'll have the grande one please they have an upstairs area where you can sit and work we got the sweet cream cold brew yeah it's actually good refreshing non-exceptional but it's nice i'm not gonna lie like the workers in this starbucks they were so serious i don't know what was going on but yeah and it was clean and nice i like how barbados look like this surrounding everything it was 18 barbados dollars for the coffee or 9 usd barbados version at kfc they call it chefette so we're gonna go check it out thank you the chicken to see how it is it's different honestly i could have skipped this nothing special and definitely not worth going out of your way for make sure to hit that subscribe button to join my youtube family smash that like button and share this video so more people could see it i'll see you guys in the next one thank you
