Want to have thick stems in no time? See the results of inexpensive ficus trees that merge after two to three years. Pose today for a better look by World of Bonsai
Welcome dear Bonsai fans, I am Peter and in this video you will see me work on several
mulch ficus bonsai trees.
At the beginning you can see a small ficus plant with thin stems.
This is how the trees looked like when I bought them about three years ago.
My goal was a thick trunk in a short time.
I think the attempt was successful.
The single stems grow together, more or less, and form a thick trunk on some of these ficus
already.
I will show you these trees with different results.
Now in winter it's a good opportunity to get some more structure in the foliage again.
A large part of this work is achieved by pruning.
Maybe there are some ideas for you.
Just lean back and watch the video for the next few minutes.
