We rolling? Okay, we had a terrible storm last night and I feel like my entire house is freaking out and I'm hearing a really crazy noise coming from the Koi pond. Oh no, you guys, what is that? That looks terrible. Oh my gosh, guys, I need to figure out how to fix this. Oh, this is not good. Oh, someone's calling. Oh, it's Matt, Matt's calling. Hello, Matt? I'm telling you, this is really bad. Okay, at the end of the driveway? Yeah, come out here now, you gotta come see this. Right now? Hurry up. Okay, but I'll be right there. Okay, guys, Matt just called. He says something terrible happened at the end of the driveway. We got something going on in the Koi pond. I'm not really sure what to do, but we gotta hurry. This is not good. This storm last night was seriously no joke. Oh my gosh, guys, and the animals are freaking out. What are you trying to say? What is going on? Hi. What are they trying to communicate, guys? This is so strange. Okay, we're running out of time. I need to go find Matt at the end of the driveway. That whirlpool thing in the Koi pond looks really freaky, and it sounds like there's something going on at the end of the driveway, too. Okay, you ready? Hang on, let's go. Bye, Matt, I'm coming. Off to the end of the driveway we go. This is literally just my luck, guys. This Koi pond has been nothing but trouble since I moved into my absolute dream house. We've had snakes, birds, and all kinds of crazy things attacking my fish, and now some kind of whirlpool thing? I don't know what's going on, but we need to go find Matt because I know he'll be the guy to help us out. So we gotta hurry. There he is, guys, there's Matt. He's all the way at the end of the driveway for some reason. I wonder what's going on down here. Let's find out. This is insane. Oh my gosh, Matt, what the heck is going on? You know, we had a big storm last night, and I think it took this tree down. This tree is absolutely massive. Think about how crazy the storm must have been for a tree this massive to just snap. Look at this. Guys, you can literally see the trunk tore down the center all the way deep underground. Look at the absolute size of this thing, guys. It's huge. This is one of the branches, and you can see how thick it is, and I can literally climb up into the canopy. I mean, it feels like an entire forest under here. Not to mention, just at the absolute sheer amount of destruction, a tree this thick around and this strong. I mean, look, I can't even pull out the amount of bark right here. Look at that, guys. This is so dangerous and thick and splintered. This tree was healthy. It wasn't rotted at all, and it's now completely wrecked. Oh my goodness. And that's not even the worst of it. What do you mean that's not the worst of it, Matt? There's an electrical wire as well. Oh no. Look at that. Oh, careful. I think that's still a live wire. Yeah, don't touch that. Don't touch that. Okay. This is like a hundred-year-old tree that is now completely ruined, and the worst part is one of the roots that ripped up out of the ground is messing with this wire, and you can literally hear the hum. There is still power being served to that, and it's possible there is too much electricity making the pumps at the koi pond run too fast, causing that whirlpool crazy thing that's happening up there. Really hope we can solve it, because those poor koi fish just deal with so much all the time. Guys, I don't know what possibly could have caused this tree to fall. I'm thinking wind. It's possible it's lightning, which would explain more electrical malfunctioning. Oh gosh, Matt, what do we have going on up here? Oh, this is the guys here to fix the wires, I think. Okay. Guys, I think this is a really serious problem, because we literally have a guy come in to help us try to solve this problem. This ripped up earlier in the morning. I think this is a pretty serious electrical issue, and this might actually explain what is happening right up the hill at the koi pond. I hope this guy can help us with this. We had someone from the city show up, and he said he would try his best to fix our electrical problem. So we're doing the best we can. We're trying to test to see if this is even fixable. Unfortunately, he said there was nothing he could do, but that it was definitely an electrical issue that was causing the whirlpool to form. If the koi pond is malfunctioning, how do we stop it? You gotta press the big red button in the pump room. The pump room? Yeah. Oh, we gotta go to the pump room. Okay, let's go. That's such a good idea. I really hope that might solve our issues. I'm hoping this works, but it is gonna take a little while, if it can work. But in the meantime, we need to go straight to the pump room, find the emergency shutoff valve, and hit that button to try to shut down power immediately. Let's go. The good news is this lake seems to be okay, and there doesn't seem to be any issues. So I think our problem is only isolated to the koi pond for some reason. That's why I think it must be the pumps that are malfunctioning. I really don't actually know. The pump room is over here in the backyard. Oh my gosh, look at this. We have another tree down. This is not good, guys. Look at this. This storm must have been extremely serious. The size of this branch is huge, and the way that it snapped, it literally just sheared straight off the side of the tree. Look at this. Guys, this storm, I'm telling you, is one of the craziest things. I wish I had footage of it from last night. Look at the size of this thing just snapping off. It's absolutely huge. We gotta hurry, this way, come on. Let's go. We gotta get to the pump room. It's just right up here, underneath the pool. It's just right around the corner from the koi pond. Here we go, guys. This is the pump room. Through this door, you can hear the pumps running. I think they're like an overdrive or something. Get the lights turned on. Yes. Okay, in this room somewhere, we need to figure out where the emergency shutoff is, and I think, oh man, I really wish Matt was up here. He knows all about this stuff. It's possible it's one of these. Maybe if we turn this off. Oh, oh, shoot. Okay, it's not that one. Okay, that's not it. Maybe, oh, it's this one, the red valve. I think this is the emergency shutoff. Red is emergency. Okay, that's not it either. Hang on. There's gotta be something. Oh man, guys, Matt is really good at all this stuff, but he's stuck at the end of the road trying to fix the wire. He sent me off to the emergency shutoff Wait a second. This is it. Guys, I think we found it. Look at that. It says cool pump control reset. We can turn it off. Okay. I think we need to hit this button and it might reset it. Or do I hit, do I flip it to off? I don't know. Okay, it's gotta be one of these buttons. It's either the big red reset button or it's the switch that says off. I don't know which one to do. Oh, okay, okay. I think we should do this one or maybe the off, off. I don't know, guys. I don't think I could do this without Matt. Matt's the one that knows all this stuff. I'm not good at this stuff. Something has to be causing the whirlpool, right? So if we just get, oh, guys, I got it. If we just get an underwater camera, we stick it underwater, and we look what is causing the whirlpool at the very bottom. We can figure it out. We can fix it. We're gonna have to go to the whirlpool side and stick this right down in the center of the whirlpool and see what is causing the water to go so crazy. Let's go. We gotta go on this side. Let's review the footage and let's see what the answer is, what is actually causing this thing once and for all. And all right, we're looking at the, we're seeing the whirlpool right now. Here we go, we're going for the plunge. And, oh, okay, we're underwater. I'm tracing it over to the bottom. Guys, it's leaking. The whirlpool is caused by a huge leak. It looked like the water is getting sucked out by that huge pipe underwater. It gives me an idea. Guys, it gives me hope. We can figure out where that pipe leads to, how to shut it off, and we can end this thing once and for all. Okay, let's trace it down. I think this might be it right here. This is the pipe that comes up. And look, guys, it goes buried underground. Let's follow this. You can see it popping up under the ground right here. Look, I think this is it. This might be part of the drain pipe. This, I think, is what is leading towards the leak in the whirlpool. Let's keep following it this way. Come on. Oh my goodness. Oh, guys, this is it. This has gotta be it. This is the Koi pod. Oh, look at all this water. Look at all the water. It's completely flooding the sidewalk. This is all the water the fish need to survive. Look how much this is. Oh no. Guys, this is, oh, the Koi pod is literally leaking. Oh, look at that. It's flooding all the way down the hill. This is not good. Oh, guys, look. This is all this water. We gotta somehow dam this up. We gotta get this to stop. We're gonna be running out of time, guys. There's only so much water in the Koi pod that can leak out before the fish completely run out of water. Okay, we gotta, there's gotta be something we can do here with the bow. Right here, guys, look. I think that is open and C for closed, so we need to move this to shut it. Okay. It's jammed. I don't know what's going on. It's jammed. Okay, let's try it this way. Okay, I gotta think. We gotta get this thing closed. This might work. This shovel might help me whack this thing closed. Here we go. I think it's working. Yes. I need something a little bit heavier, but we're starting to get this closed. We need something heavy like a hammer or a rock. Okay, this might work. This might work, okay. Let's try this one more time. Come on, we gotta get this valve closed. Yes! Okay, guys, we got the valve shut. The water is slowly draining, but look how much water we lost. This is not good, guys. It is splashing everywhere. We got inches and feet of water. It's leaking all the way down the backyard right here. We got literally a river flowing down the sidewalk. So I don't know if I stopped it in time. I might've failed. We might be out of water. The koi pond might be completely drained at this point. This is a lot of water loss. Koi need water to survive. I'm scared to look, but we're gonna have to do it. We're gonna have to walk up to the koi pond, see if this fixed the issue. Did we get it to stop? Did we get the whirlpool to stop? Is there enough water left in the koi pond or was I too late? Come on, guys, let's go look. This is the moment of truth. This is gonna either be the walk of shame or the walk of being a hero. I just have a really bad feeling about this. Like, what if I got it wrong again? What if the whirlpool was still here? What if the koi pond is completely dry? Let's go, let's go look. Here we go, moment of truth. Guys, the whirlpool is done. The water is still, and luckily there is some water left, but uh-oh, oh no. We lost a lot of water. This is not good. No, look at this. This is terrible. Guys, the water is so low right now. Look at this. This would be like a foot deep at least. Ew, look at the bottom covered in this nasty slime. This is not good, guys. This is gonna dry out and the koi are gonna have a really hard time. Oh no, this is really not good. What are we gonna do, guys? Guys, we lost a tremendous amount of water and I'm looking, guys, I feel like we're missing koi. This is not good. Okay, we got some of the big koi right here. I think they might've been too big to get sucked down the pipe, but some of the little ones, guys, we're gonna have to do a head count. We've lost a lot of water. We might've lost a lot of koi. The good news is the whirlpool is done. We found the issue. We shut the valve off once and for all, but guys, I have a lot of work to do to try to get this back up and running.
