Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe creator tests and ranks viral, unusual beauty products and trends on a tier list. While some innovative textures and creative techniques like \"tiger stripe\" makeup earn top marks, other items—particularly deceptive online purchases—are revealed as scams. The results vary from high-performance serums to impractical eyelash bedazzling.
So the application of this product here is questionable,
but supposedly this mask, it's this horrible green color,
and then after you leave it on for a while, it's supposed to bubble up,
and then leave your skin silky, velvety smooth,
because these videos are totally not edited.
Let's try it.
Whoa, it's a lot drippier than I thought it would be, and it's very green.
Okay, maybe I don't like these packets for application purposes.
I'm just gonna put it on with this brush like they did in one of the videos.
I can feel it bubbling on my chin.
Okay, wow.
It definitely bubbled.
I wouldn't say it's the most dramatic bubbling makeup we've done.
Okay, time to wipe it off and see if I have smooth photoshopped looking skin.
Honestly, my skin looks pretty good underneath.
So not as dramatic as it was in the TikTok video,
but I would say it definitely did something.
So I'm gonna rank this a C on our tier list.
It's just right in the middle.
We have nine more unusual beauty products that I'm gonna be testing today,
and doing a full face of makeup with.
And we have this lovely little tier list for all of our products,
so we're going to be ranking all of them.
Because as weird as these products are,
all of the videos that the creators made,
they're raving about these products.
So we're gonna see if they're any good.
Our next skincare product is this Golden Boba.
I love that they called it that.
And this is supposed to be for acne scars and discoloration.
All kinds of fancy ingredients,
but the best part is when you put them on,
they look like tiny little eggs that you squish.
It looks really satisfying.
So we found it for $27.
No way!
It actually looks just like the video!
Okay, so there's our little Golden Bobas
that are just floating in the clear cream.
I got one!
Does that not look like a little fried egg before you fry it?
One for this side.
Now for the satisfying part,
you squish!
Okay, it wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be,
but all right, now we just rub it in.
Honestly, this stuff feels really great.
It almost feels like an aloe vera gel.
Hopefully my skin doesn't turn red and fall off though.
Initial reaction and ranking,
I'm gonna give our little Golden Bobas,
I'll give them an A,
because they're exactly as advertised.
All right, I'm gonna let this dry on my face,
redo my foundation really quick,
and then we're gonna start our unusual makeup routine.
You're gonna kind of notice a theme here
with our beauty products,
and it's uncomfortable textures.
So our next one is this bronzer.
And it's just a jar full of pearls.
So the majority of them are like a typical bronzer color,
but there's some pink ones and orange ones mixed in
to give you a little bit more of a colorful glow.
I had to laugh because I am notorious
for breaking my bronzer compact.
So my bronzer at home look,
he already kind of looks like this,
just little shards of makeup floating around in the tin.
Okay, so we tried to order this exact product
that's in the TikTok.
It's $52.
Blakely is the brand.
So we ordered it, we paid for it.
And then a couple of days later,
we got an email saying they don't have it.
It's out of stock.
So we found a dupe on Amazon.
This one was $7.
So we're gonna let you know if it's any good.
Ta-da, ooh.
So they're not like as colorful as the Blakely ones,
but there's definitely like some deeper bronze,
some goldy ones,
and they all have this nice little glittery shimmer to them.
Okay, let's see if it works.
Oh, it makes a really satisfying noise
when you put your brush in.
ASMR, okay.
Whoa, it's pretty pigmented.
It's also pretty, oh, okay, maybe that was too much.
We'll do better on this side.
Okay, a little goes a long way.
This one's very warm.
Okay, where do I put this $7 bronzing pearl
on our tier list though?
Honestly, I'm gonna give it an A.
For $7, I feel like really impressed actually.
If you hated the texture of our egg yolk serum
and our bronzing pearls,
you're really not gonna like our blush.
Okay, here it is.
It is mold in a petri dish.
That's what it looks like, but it's actually blush.
And it's by Huda Beauty,
which I never would have thought Huda Beauty
would come out with something like this.
It's so creepy looking, the little pink molds,
and even the clear parts.
Also, I've watched this video so many times
and I just now realized that the girl in the video
has the same hair as me.
But it looks so beautiful once it's on.
It has this like shimmer to it.
It's just such an interesting product packaging design.
So, oh no, it's even worse in person.
That is so crazy.
Whose idea was this?
I mean, it's kind of brilliant.
Like it literally markets itself
because it's so bizarre.
And then it looked like a good product in the video.
So, see what I mean though?
Like even the clear base looks like grimy.
Oh, it's so weird.
I have the strongest desire to just pop out
an entire one of these little pink things.
I'm gonna do it.
Ew, that felt like popping a zit.
Whoa.
Okay, it's such a pretty pink shimmer though.
I'm actually so excited to try this.
Okay, she just kind of like rubbed her brush all over.
Ew, it's like a jelly texture.
So, it feels illegal to put a brush on it,
but that's what she did.
I'm gonna pick up some of that pink.
What do we think?
Oh, I think it's pretty.
Why does this product actually work so well?
I just want to know the design process.
This almost feels like something they made on accident.
And then the developer was like,
no guys, it actually like works though.
I like it so much more than I thought I would.
Okay, for the tier though, does it deserve S tier?
I think I'm gonna reserve S tier and give this one A.
I really like it.
I'm so scared of this next one.
Okay, this next one popped up
but it's not lip injectable filler.
She's using a product.
And watch this.
Just this little clear gloss.
Puts it on.
That looks like a filter.
And apparently it's so painful she had to ice her lips.
This has to be a filter.
We got the exact product to try
because I don't have the biggest lips.
Lip plumper.
So terrified right now.
Note, you may experience an intense tingle
that can last five to 10 minutes,
which is completely fine.
But in return, I'm gonna need you to subscribe
because I'm really risking my face right now.
And if you're on TV watching,
all you have to do is swipe up on your remote
and click over to my cute little face and hit subscribe.
Oh, it's so much.
Okay, I've tried a lot of lip plumping lip glosses
in my time.
So very interested to see how this specific one compares.
It's definitely burning.
It feels like I ate really spicy pepper.
Okay, the stinging is starting to go away.
So I think it's kind of done all it's gonna do.
What do you think?
Do you guys notice a difference?
I feel like I do.
It's not as big of a difference as in the video by any means,
but my lips are definitely swollen.
It works.
I feel like I have a pretty high pain tolerance though,
and it's kind of painful.
So I'm gonna give it a B.
Now that our lips are plump,
we need some color.
And this is kind of a weird product.
Okay, so these red sheets of paper,
they're supposed to turn your lips red.
But the first time she used it,
apparently she didn't do it right.
You're supposed to wet the paper first
and then put it on your lips.
Paper lipstick though.
Very interesting concept.
I don't know.
Everybody in the comments is saying
that she's doing it wrong though.
So I got some,
and we're gonna see if we can make it work.
Oh, I was hoping for instructions,
but uh.
What a cute little package though.
Wait, it's a ring box.
There's literally a spot for a ring.
That's hilarious.
Oh my gosh.
It's like little sticky notes.
I'm gonna wipe off the rest of this gloss.
Still is burning a little bit,
in case anyone was wondering.
I'm gonna spray both sides
because top and bottom.
Whoa.
It worked.
Oh my gosh.
I don't know what scenario you would want
or need to have paper lipstick in,
but low key.
Why did that work so well?
I don't know.
Maybe they're actually kind of good for travel.
Like literally you could like stick some
in your phone case.
You need like emergency red lipstick.
It did turn my fingers a little red,
so there's that.
The good news is it doesn't come off your fingers,
which means it doesn't come off your lips,
but I like this more than I thought I would.
I'm gonna give this one a B as well.
Let me put some glass over it.
It actually hurts.
Let me introduce you to the weirdest beauty trend.
That's right.
Non-corrective braces.
Fashion braces.
Braces that are only for fun.
They're like real braces.
They come on a wire.
You put adhesive on them.
It's not a UV activated adhesive like real braces,
but apparently it just dries down.
And do you have braces?
That is crazy.
And they actually have some fun ones these days.
Like there's some that have little shapes.
They're like little stars or flowers,
but this is a real thing.
I mean, braces are expensive.
So it's kind of a little bit of a flex to wear them,
I guess.
Okay.
There are so many different places
that sell these fake braces.
We have ordered these braces two or three times
and every single time they get lost in the mail.
The sad thing is they're not cheap either.
Like the Amazon ones were $23 and we lost them twice.
I don't have them right now,
but insert future hope here.
If braces ever show up.
I wish I could say our next product was great
to make up for that experience,
but it's so bad.
It might be the worst scam I've ever experienced
in my whole life.
Okay.
I'm getting ahead of myself though.
Let me introduce you to the product first.
So we're doing an eyeshadow
and so many of you tagged me in this.
Okay.
So there are these little iPhones,
all different colors.
They literally look like a real iPhone.
Don't they?
You even like peel off the clear plastic cover
like you would when you get an iPhone.
And then in the back is an eyeshadow palette.
And this is actually a really pretty eyeshadow palette.
It has these like peachy pink shades and some shimmers.
It has one of those awful,
like 1990s sponge applicators for some reason.
But other than that, it looks so nice.
Okay.
So let me tell you about our experience ordering this.
So we found the exact seller that is in this TikTok,
sold out.
And then we found some for sale on Alibaba,
but they wanted us to buy 12 of them.
So we didn't want to do that.
So we found somebody selling one on Etsy.
So we thought,
let me introduce you to our $27 iPhone eyeshadow palette.
It's literally a case with eyeshadow printed on.
How did this happen?
It's so bad.
It's not even cute.
So if any of you happen to see these iPhone eyeshadow palettes
floating around on the internet for sale,
please tag me because,
well, the icing on the cake is it doesn't even fit my phone.
Wait, I have to put this on the tier.
Clearly we are giving this our first F, yay.
Okay.
Now it's time to move on to some different eyeshadows
since that one didn't work out.
I'm actually really excited by this one.
The eyeshadow look that we're going to do
is actually inspired by a couple different videos.
So the first product is this.
It's this eyeshadow paint.
I don't know if you guys know this,
but I actually kind of know how to paint
and I low-key feel like I might be better
at applying this on my face than powdered shadows.
It just looks like it blends so nice.
I love this blue look that she did.
So I wanted to also do a fun color.
Okay.
So let's do our eyeshadow
and then I'll introduce you to the next step in a second.
So here they are.
They're so cute.
They are the About Face Matte Fluid Eye Paints.
Okay.
So we've got Dionysus, which is this like pinky mauve.
We've got Vintage Grandma.
I love that name, which is a purple.
This one's fun.
All About The Benjamins.
What are these names?
It's like a dark teal.
I don't know how I feel about that formula.
And the last one, Vertigo Flowers, which is a green.
Oh, that one's fun.
Okay.
I'm going to start with the Vertigo Green one
because it's the lightest and brightest.
I'm going to attempt to do a cool paint job on my eyelids.
And then our next thing we're going to do
is an eyeshadow trend that I have been wanting to try for months.
Wow.
I feel colorful.
Okay.
The trend I want to try is on your colorful eyeshadow
and then squint and crease your eyes
and put a powder over the top.
And then it creates this cool pattern
from just your natural skin creases.
I think it looks so cool.
I hope mine looks like that.
Okay.
I feel like I'm going to add a little bit more green
to the very outer edges
just so we have enough color to make it really pop.
She put hers like way out here.
I'm going to try...
This is literally Revolution Beauty Fortnite Peely.
But I feel like it's going to work.
Okay.
Here we go.
Okay.
All I have is this giant beauty blender.
So that's what we're going with.
Oh, I really hope this works.
Close my eyes.
Really shut.
People are calling this the anti-Botox makeup trend,
which I think is adorable.
I hope my powder's white enough.
There's like four layers.
Moment of truth.
Did it work?
Whoa, it did!
Okay, I love it.
It literally looks like tiger stripes.
That is so fun.
Because I know that like,
it's always been like the worst thing
when your makeup creases.
So I love that somebody was like,
you know what?
Let's just make a trend out of that.
It's going to happen anyway.
So like, let's make it cute.
That was my favorite thing of the whole video
and it wasn't even necessarily a product.
It was just the trend.
I do really like these liquid shadows too.
You know what?
A-tier's getting crowded,
so I'm going to go ahead and give them S-tier.
Okay, maybe at the end of the video,
I'll try this trend on my lips.
And to finish off our eye look,
we have this product,
which is like the brightest,
most pigmented eyeliner.
I'm going to attempt to get it right in my waterline
like this creator did.
So I got a pink one and a blue one.
I feel like the pink is just going to look like my eyes are red.
Maybe I'll do the blue.
And these are from ColourPop.
They are the cream gel liners.
Ooh, it's like a metallic-y blue.
This is pretty fun.
I think on the tier, I'm going to give it a B.
I like it.
All right, we've got one more thing to round off our eye look.
This unusual product was inspired by one of you guys,
Kristy Moore 7858,
left me this comment on one of my last videos.
You have to please try eyelash bedazzling.
Apparently, they're kind of similar to the eyelash tinsel
that we tried in a previous video,
but it sounds right up my alley.
So we're going to do it.
So I've got my pink bedazzles.
These very fluffy eyelashes.
And then we also have these glitter eyeliners we could mix in.
Maybe the silver.
Okay, I think I may have just created
the cutest pair of eyelashes to ever exist.
So if being a YouTuber doesn't work out for me,
catch me making these professionally and selling them.
I'm putting them on.
Okay, here's the finished eye look with the lashes on.
It's fun.
Would I wear them regularly?
Absolutely not.
And it took a minute to make them.
So I'm going to give it a C tier.
It's just kind of in the middle for me.
And last but not least, we got to do our lip trend.
Okay, so I think I'm going to do green and blue,
put it all over my lips,
and then put the powder on,
and it's supposed to look really cool.
Cute.
Okay, now I'm going to scratch my lips,
put the powder on,
and hopefully we have some cool tiger stripe lips.
Kind of.
No, it definitely worked.
My lines are just like thinner than hers were.
Here is our final unusual beauty look.
I liked a surprisingly large amount of these products.
Make sure to check out all of my other unusual beauty videos
if you haven't binge watched them yet,
and we will see you guys in the next video.
Say bye, YouTube.
