How To Decorate Cupcakes + Easy Frosting Roses - Natasha's Kitchen

Hey guys, it's Natasha of Natashaskitchen.com. Today I'm gonna teach you how to make the most beautiful frosting roses. You'll be amazed at how easy these are. I always take these to parties and people are always like, wow, those are gorgeous. And how do you make them? Nobody ever seems to know how to make them, but they're so simple. We're gonna use my famous vanilla cupcake frosting and my moist chocolate cupcakes. And together, oh my gosh, these are so good. So stay tuned, you'll be a pro in no time. The most important thing about getting these frosting roses right is making sure you have the right tools. I use the Wilton 2D tip and then just any large pastry bag will work. So I have my frosting tip put in my pastry bag and what I like to do is set it into a tall glass and this really helps when you're filling it up with frosting. So go ahead and fill it about half full with frosting. Prime your pastry bag so that the frosting goes to the end. You should see it come out at the end. And sometimes with the first few roses, you might get some air bubbles. So it's really important to go ahead and practice on either a baking sheet or a plate. So that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna practice. This is an especially good idea if you're not comfortable with doing this, if you're doing it for the first time or if you just haven't done it for a while, especially if you're putting it on a cake because you don't want to destroy your cake with an ugly rose. Now that we've finished practicing, let's get started on the real cupcakes. Start frosting from the center and just move outwards in a circle and keep your tip close to the cupcake.
