Finally at the famous Guinness Gate. Absolutely loving it and I'm about to
downright tour so we're going this way
and the queue is quite longer than I thought.
I don't know what I was thinking because today is Sunday and
well everybody is trying to see the padding.
I hope I like this.
I'm not the biggest Guinness fan.
Maybe I should not say this at the beginning of the video.
Who knows? Maybe I'll be awkward.
I'm not going to lie.
To be honest.
Why is it looking like this?
It's looking suspicious.
This is the Guinness Storehouse Map
and it has all the information you'll need,
accessibility, sensory mediums,
high and low and all the steps.
I like the architecture but I'm not going to be building
a structure out there right now.
Let's just go and get ourselves cool Guinnesses.
And his journey began with this piece right here.
In the bottom right hand corner
you can see the signature.
And that's on all of our Guinness cans and bottles
around the world.
Now if you don't notice the glass panelling throughout the building
you are now standing at the bottom
of the world's largest pint shaped glass.
And if we were to build this glass
it could take up to
14.3 million pints
of Guinness.
And to put that into perspective
it's about three times the population of Ireland.
Now if you're going to begin your tour
just follow me there in our ingredients section.
You'll make your way up through the building
finishing on the second floor
That's where you'll change your ticket
for a point of your choice
and soak in the panoramic views of Dublin.
Now before I let you all go
I'll leave you with a warm Irish welcome
and that's
That translates to
100,000 welcomes.
So Katie La Fulce, you're off to the next
trigger tour today.
Your journey begins just behind me there.
Finally at the famous Guinness Gate
absolutely loving it and I'm about to do my tour
so we're going this way
and I hope the camera can come with me.
To be honest, I've eaten half of this cake
before realising I didn't get my fever.
I can't taste the Guinness
and someone asked how do I know
if I don't actively drink Guinness
which is a good question.
However, it just tastes like plain chocolate cake to me.
You're welcome.
I haven't had chocolate all day.
Let's not ask what else we want.
Carefully cutting away
defects and sapwood.
I actually like this place.
You're good to work.
Thank you very much.
Welcome to this portion of your tour.
This is the first of our
two tasting rooms.
This room is called the white room for very obvious reasons.
It's been designed this way to stimulate your senses.
There are pods around the room here
and they all have different senses
to trigger Guinness in a different way.
That's our malted barley pod.
That one's got the smell of biscuits or breakfast cereals.
It's very sweet as it is what gives Guinness
a subtle sweetness.
Behind that one, this one here now
is the beer esters pod.
The beer esters are actually by-products of fermentation
rather than an added ingredient
and these ones all smell of butterscotch or toffee.
So quite sweet on this side.
Across the way, this one here now is the hops pod.
It might make you smell Guinness.
I love it.
That's from the malted barley.
Don't be too worried
if you're not getting them.
There's nothing wrong with the taste buds.
You'll just need a tiny bit more practice.
But I can officially call you all Guinness tasting experts
so congratulations.
Now to finish off, does anyone happen to know the word for cheers
in Irish?
Sláinte!
Thank you so much for listening everyone
and enjoy the rest of your day here at the Hall of Guinness.
Yeah, the face on drinks is quite clever.
Waiting for mine.
Let me take it out for you.
Thank you.
It is very cold.
Yes, I know.
Struggling to make sure my face is on it.
The evolution of the drink.
Half cup
and you start to look like Megabyte.
Oh, the cake!
So they soak it in Guinness.
And the sixth floor
for the panoramic view.
We should have taken the lift.
Oh my god, there's monsters.
Oh my god.
Putting the panoramic view
after giving people a pint.
Oh my god, I didn't even see it.
This is a nice view.
So where is it from?
Is that the sixth floor?
This is the fifth floor.
They're just toilets.
Oh, just toilets.
Okay, thank you.
These are men's pendants.
Female pendants weren't so bad.
Okay, so at the end of the tour
or at the start of the tour
you could come upstairs.
If you look up above the store
you would see an engraving section
where you could come and get your cups,
your shirts, your merch and whatever engraved
with your name.
I'm really excited about that.
I will most likely use that glass
to take tea but
I'm so excited to have a customized cup.
Oh, you ordered earlier.
Thank you.
And the storages are for
pre-orders. You could pick up your stuff
if you pre-ordered.
Thank you so much for watching guys.
It's been an amazing trip down the Guinness Factory.
I guess I'm holding something because I'm on the sixth floor.
If you don't want to take another pint of Guinness
after taking the one on the fifth or fourth floor
you could get a soft drink
and I opted for that one.
And the view is magnificent.
I really love it.
