Wealthy individuals have always been associated with fast vehicles. After all, what's the point
of having money if you can't spend it on avenues that give you a sense of power and prestige?
For billionaires, this often means private jets and boats. While some might use these luxuries
to explore the world or throw grand parties, others enjoy having them as status symbols.
The United States is home to several highly wealthy people,
many of whom own enormous yachts that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
This video will show a few examples of the world's most expensive yachts owned by US billionaires.
The size of an individual's yacht is always telling and it can give clues as to how much
money that person has. The more expensive the boat, the wealthier the owner must be.
It can be interesting to look at these gigantic boats and wonder which ones are owned by some of
America's richest people. Hey there, internet! Welcome to A Billion Luxuries. This show will
talk about all things luxury. We'll talk about the latest and greatest in fashion, beauty, travel,
lifestyle, and more. Whether you enjoy all things luxurious or want to live a bit more extravagantly,
don't miss out on all the exciting news from A Billion Luxuries.
Today, we will discuss the most luxurious and expensive yachts owned by US billionaires.
These vast boats have an outrageous price tag, and we'll show you a few examples.
So, without further ado, let's get started! First on our list of the most visually stunning boats
designed for the sea is Sergey Brin's Dragonfly, priced at $73 million. One of Google's two
founders owns it, showing that all that ad revenue was being invested to good effect.
The Dragonfly is percorded to be the world's fastest and most fuel-efficient long-range yacht
with a 239-foot length. This high-speed superyacht is likely owned by Sergey Brin,
Google's co-founder and former president. It's just as impressive as everyone says it.
The Dragonfly was designed by Australian shipbuilder Silver Yachts. At the same time,
Espino, New International, and Danilo Silvestrone collaborated on the yacht's naval architecture
and interior design. Project management and construction were undertaken by Silver Yachts.
It appears to be a remarkable achievement, in my opinion. Given that they intend to charge you
$73 million for this boat, it is an excellent hypothesis that it is. She has two MTU diesel
engines that produce 27 knots of power and a cruising speed of 4,500 nautical miles at a
leisurely pace. The Dragonfly is an extraordinary ship with a few one-of-a-kind characteristics,
such as the bow helipad and size that compares to the opulent yacht. It can hold 18 individuals
and 16 crew and its conveniences include a dance floor and open-air movie theater.
Throwing parties isn't the primary skill it thrives at. In 2015, Hurricane Pam wreaked
havoc on the island. The Dragonfly's commitment to the alleviation attempt in Venatu following
national destruction by the catastrophic event was recognized. The crew managed to clear helicopter
landing zones, carry 62 metric tons of freshwater ashore, treat over 250 patients, and aid with
medical evacuations. Are yachts nothing more than floating luxury hotels and landing pads for wealthy
Next is the Y721 project, owned by Jeff Bezos and costing a whopping $500 million. For those unfamiliar
with him, Jeff Bezos is a billionaire who enjoys being naked on large boats. When he's not renting
out someone else's vessel for his debauchery, he hosts similar events on his own $500 million yacht.
Partying aside, it seems like an ideal place to relax given the expensive features and furniture
on board. With a total length of 417 feet, this behemoth is much more giant than it seems. Its
construction took years as expected for a vessel with so many features and amenities. Jeff Bezos
purchased it for $500 million a few years ago. If you're curious about the features this type of
boat comes with, I'll save us both some time and list what it doesn't have. But rest assured, there are
still plenty of unique features to choose from. For example, there are several deck design options
to select from. On different decks, you can enjoy stunning salons, fabulous bars, and large swimming
pools. Plus, it will include three great masts. The yearly running costs of this behemoth are
expected to be around $60 million, which may seem like a minor sum for a man worth $192 billion.
But wait, this enormous yacht comes with a secondary support boat as part of its package.
The Y71 project is ongoing but will undoubtedly be one of the most impressive yachts by the time
it's done. Jeff Bezos might use it to host more naked parties and we'll all be invited.
So how are we all doing so far? Hopefully, you're enjoying the content and a glimpse of how the
other half lives. If you want more videos like this one, don't forget to give this video a thumbs up
and subscribe to the channel. Now let's get rolling! Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle and an avid boater
is next. Since he is worth $122 billion, he needs more than one superboat. One of his rumored
vessels is the beautiful 190-foot yacht Ronin. Designed by Norman Foster, his other vessels
reportedly have similar names. Then there was the 246-foot Katana, now known as An Enigma. Created
by renowned yacht builder Blom N. Voss, he owned a 453-foot Rising Sun and a 288-foot Masashi as
well. To go to all of the fascinating sites worldwide, he sold the Rising Sun to buy tiny
but capable Masashi. Certain activities become impossible when your ship is too large. The $116
million, 288-foot long luxury yacht Masashi was named after the legendary 16th-century Japanese
swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. In addition to the 23 crew members, there is space for 18 passengers.
The F.E.E.D. Ship Shipyard in the Netherlands was responsible for its construction. With Duivendak
Naval Architects and Saw Yacht Design contributing to the project, four powerful MTU diesel engines
worked together to reach her incredible top speed of 21 knots. The subdued lighting and earthy tones
on the boat create a romantic ambiance, so you might not want to bring a friend along for the
ride. You don't want to end up having an awkward conversation with someone you didn't intend to
spend time with. Now we come to Paul Allen's Octopus, which is believed to be worth $285 million.
Paul Allen, the co-founder and billionaire of Microsoft, previously owned a yacht. This huge
superyacht measures 414 feet in length and has eight stories, with a maximum speed of 12.5 knots.
Additionally, this youngster can take 12,500 nautical miles across the ocean in a short time.
Paul Allen, a multi-millionaire, presumably named his boat Octopus because he used it
for more than leisurely activities. He employed the use of this boat in various scientific fields
such as rescue missions and deep sea exploration while he was alive. The Octopus is a Second World
War relic that Jonathan Quinn Barnett, award-winning prominent yacht interior designer, salvaged and
rebuilt. It's seafaring if you're into long journeys of discovery and the like. Barnett
has won many awards for his prior efforts in maritime design, so it's worth looking into if
you have any interest in naval history or vessels. The yacht has 13 rooms and can easily accommodate
57 crew members and 26 passengers. It also includes additional features such as a gym,
theater, and pub in addition to the salon. There are two helicopter landing pads on the main deck.
This building is astounding. It has a basketball court and pool and a 10-person submarine.
The dimensions of this structure will wow you. It's almost as if this yacht was built so that
it would have its mini-planet that you could escape to. We've arrived at the last entry,
The Rising Sun, which will set you back $650 million. David Geffen, a famous American philanthropist
and boat party enthusiast, tops our list. He was essential to DreamWorks' creation, as well
as being successful in the music business. He's widely recognized as the driving force behind the
success of such renowned rock bands as Guns N' Roses and Aerosmith. According to experts, SKG,
Geffen is now worth $6.8 billion. However, he appears to be losing more than $800 million
on his fleet of ships. Lurssen oversaw the vessel's construction, with Bannenberg in charge
of design. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Emir
of Abu Dhabi, paid a staggering $650 million for his yacht. The 453-foot Rising Sun is one of the
world's biggest yachts and has been passed down among some of the wealthiest people in the world
since its creation. Larry Ellison and Geffen were among its first owners before Geffen took
over a few years later. Since then, he has kept it busy by throwing lavish parties aboard for
celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and members of royalty, including Beatrice, Princess of York.
Even Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez have become regular guests. With development
costs surpassing $500 million, the Rising Sun is fitted with 86,000 square feet of living area,
35,000 square feet of decking adorned with luxurious plans, and onyx worktops in the main
bathroom and all bathrooms. Other decadent touches include jacuzzis in every bathroom
and a full range of amenities that would make anyone's life easier, from a gym to sauna to the
The Rising Sun has been setting for some of the most extravagant parties in recent years,
and it appears that this will continue. Geffen is content with his purchase and doesn't plan
to sell it anytime soon. Is that all you think there is? However, Bill Gates' $600 million
incentive from Aqua is not included here, so this is not a complete list. Gates is famous in his own
right. Although too few people know he enjoys spending money like a billionaire, while some
claim Gates works 80 to 120 hours per week, this number does not include weekends. The billionaire
investor Bill Gates has reportedly put more than $600 million into the development of a superyacht
that is 376 feet long and runs on hydrogen, according to reports from many news outlets.
This insanely innovative design might change the face of luxury yachting forever by providing all
the comforts of home while lessening the toll that yachts often have on marine ecosystems.
Given their likely prioritization of room and luxury above environmental conscience,
this is an excellent option for anyone looking for a luxurious, eco-friendly vessel.
It seems like the media is running off with another story that isn't wholly accurate.
Despite what you may have heard, Bill Gates is not involved with any currently ongoing aquatic
initiative. To be more specific, Gates does not own a personal boat. Instead,
he charters luxury boats when he wants to spend time on the water. For example, one family vacation
cost him a total of $333 million for the hire of a luxurious vessel. His Wayfinder is the only
vessel that Gates has that can traverse open water successfully. The Stelleros Armand was
created in 2020 to be a lifeboat and transportation vessel for toys and smaller crafts related to the
bigger boats we use for transport. But this is not your average canoe. It can hold up to 32 people.
As far as cost goes, be prepared to spend $25 million. It comes fully equipped with a rescue
boat and space in the hangar for a helicopter. He was also compelled to construct a support
vessel that would have a minimal influence on the environment. This is an old-fashioned yet
ecologically sensitive technique. Here's how it works. The Wayfinder cleans up wastewater while
following a larger boat. It keeps the water until it can be released back into the ocean
following environmental laws. That's all for today. So, do you think these yachts are worth
the price tag? Let me know in the comments. If you enjoy this content, don't forget to give this
video a thumbs up, share, and subscribe if you haven't already. See you at the next one.
