Hey, what's up everybody?
Today I'm going to show you guys how to do an egg in a hole.
An egg in a hole is basically just toast with a hole cut out in the middle and like a soft
fried egg in the middle.
And so basically this is just combining two ideas of breakfast, toast on one side, egg
on the other, and just sort of putting it right together.
It's really a fun way of presenting eggs and toast.
And I'm going to use brioche, which is sort of a really rich, high fat bread.
It's a decadent bread.
It goes great with a simple egg in the middle.
So hopefully you guys enjoy this and join me in making an egg in a hole.
Start by cutting a hole in a half inch thick cut bread.
Once you've toasted the first side of the brioche, flip it over, add a knob of butter
to the pan, and then from here on out, all you have to do is add the eggs.
After the eggs are added, put the pan in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes.
I'm going to saute up this spring onion just to add as a garnish and it will give it a
little bit of sweetness to the dish.
With a hot pan and a little bit of canola oil, you'll saute these spring onions really
quickly.
It'll take about 2-3 minutes and they'll be nice and sweet.
Such an easy concept and a simple way of preparing eggs and toast.

I used to just eat the yolk, and my dad would yell at me because he would say, the whole
egg is healthy.
But I would just eat the yolk.
