Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel, The Crafty Queen.
My name is Megan, without an H, and today I'm going to be sharing with you some last
minute, easy, Valentine's Day gift ideas from Dollar Tree, using all Dollar Tree items for
these gift ideas.
So I have gift ideas today for that special someone in your life.
I have gift ideas for Galentine's Day as well.
So for your gal pals, for your significant other, I think all of these can work for anybody
that you choose.
And if you stick around until the end of the video, I do have a little life update for
you and I can't wait to share more about her.
So just stick around to the end of the video and I will share what's been going on with
me just this past year, 2025, it's been crazy.
So I'll give you guys a life update and I'm excited to go through these gift ideas with
you.
So starting off with gift idea number one.
So this is one of Dollar Tree's new gift boxes out right now for 2026 Valentine's Day.
This box is about five by five, it's about like five and a half by five, and then five
and three quarter inches in height.
So not a whole lot of space in this, but you know, you can do with it what you will.
And then I take these little paper crinklies that I got from Dollar Tree and I'm just going
to put them in the bottom of this.
And these are very, very important to the overall gift idea.
I'm putting together a Galentine's Day box for a friend of mine that loves to craft just
like me.
So this is a blank ceramic vase from Dollar Tree and it has no coating on the outside,
but it does have a coating on the inside.
So they, this is the type of vase that they want you to actually paint with real ceramic
paint.
And they now have ceramic paint out on shelves and is actually, it's the brand is Delta and
apparently it's a plaid brand.
So they have these glitter colors.
And so I'm going to put these in this gift box as an option.
And so again, this is for a Galentine's Day gift.
So they also have a light, kind of a lighter pink color.
I wanted to give her a bunch of different color options to craft with.
And then they also have purple and red.
And then it would not be a crafting kit complete without some paintbrushes.
So I grabbed these from Dollar Tree as well.
So everything you see here is from Dollar Tree.
So I went to put these in here and I realized that they were too long and then this one
fell apart.
So you get what you get with Dollar Tree, but I'm not about to give her a broken paintbrush.
So then I grabbed this one with a sponge top because I realized it would fit much better
in the box.
And then of course, right as I'm recording, my kitten decided to go crazy.
I put another brush in there as well for painting some detail onto the vase.
And this box is pretty much finished.
It's really that simple, you guys.
There are so many different things that you can do, and I thought a crafting kit would
be a cool idea for a friend that also loves to craft.
So then just to secure this lid on for when I transport this, I did just tape the sides.
If you guys stick around to the end of the video, I will show you the kitten up close.
So this is the box.
And then these crafts I just made in my recent Valentine's Day video that I will link below.
Moving on to gift idea number two.
So this one is probably my favorite gift idea so far because this one I am making for my
husband.
So grab these popcorn-looking, I don't know what you want to call it, bowls from Dollar
Tree.
And they are paper.
Put some more crinklies in the bottom.
So they actually come in a two-pack.
So it's great because the first one I'm not going to use, and the first one's kind of
going to be my insulation here.
But I put some crinklies there and then I took this brand new date night idea box that
is out on shelves right now at Dollar Tree.
And so it's supposed to have I think like 52 date night gift ideas in this.
So I'm going to open it up and show you guys the kind of date night ideas that it has just
to give you a preview.
Just so you know what you're buying as well.
So once you take them out, it says things like visit a museum, ice skating.
And then I got confused because it kept saying, it's date night, it's date night.
And it was a little bit unclear.
So I was like, wait, are they all blank?
What is going on?
I was like, why is it only giving me a few date night ideas?
The cards just didn't make sense because there were some blank ones and it said it's date
night.
And then I started flipping them over and I'm like, oh, okay.
So they are kind of mixed in here, but there's going to be a couple of random ones that don't
have a date idea apparently.
So I mean, it's a dollar.
But they did have like horseback riding, things like that.
So they do have date night ideas mixed in there.
I don't know why they did not put that together well.
But anyway, my husband is lately obsessed with hand washing his car.
So I went to the auto section of Dollar Tree and I got this car washing sponge.
He definitely needs a new one.
And that's kind of the fun thing about Valentine's Day.
And you can just make it kind of a quirky gift.
I found this Rain X, it's one individual wipe, but it's supposed to protect your glass.
And then he can always use more glass cleaning wipes.
So I put more in there.
He loves Korean barbecue and I found these in the snack section of Dollar Tree.
All of these items are from Dollar Tree and this popcorn as well.
That's our thing.
We love to get some popcorn, watch a movie together.
So this is definitely a mix of things that he might like and also kind of date night
stuff for us.
And since this comes with two of these popcorn looking bowls, then we can use the bottom
one to share popcorn.
So that is a brand new cassette tape that is out on shelves right now at Dollar Tree.
And that's where you can record a message as I just showed you.
And I showed you this in my most recent Valentine's Day DIYs video as well.
Moving on to gift idea number three.
So this is supposed to be a cosmetic case and I thought this could be another cool Valentine's
Day gift idea or even for a teen.
My mom used to like to put together Valentine's Day baskets for my brother and I just for
fun.
So I thought maybe this could be that kind of thing if you have a teen or some somebody
that you like to give that kind of gift for, if you have a daughter, then I thought maybe
this could work well for that.
So this is supposed to be like a face washing headband to pull your head, your hair back.
And then this, I thought this comb was really cute for the shower.
I absolutely love things like this.
My hair is so long.
I definitely need like a comb for the shower to like detangle it.
So definitely, definitely much needed.
But this is supposed to be for, you can use it for makeup, but it's supposed to be used
for your face washing routine.
And now they have these microfiber hair wraps at Dollar Tree and this one was really cute.
So I thought it went well with this kind of spa kit that I'm putting together here for
Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day.
But this actually holds a lot.
And then you can, you can put this manicure set in here as well.
I was surprised by how much this holds.
I mean, it would hold a lot of makeup.
It's kind of like a faux leather material.
I mean, you could even put skincare products in this maybe, not just makeup.
And then you can also put a sleep mask in here.
And then here are some socks.
So this is what the cosmetic pouch looks like when it's all filled up.
Last but not least, gift idea number four.
So they have these new shaker bottles out on shelves right now.
They have this pink one and then they also have a purple one of this.
And when I saw this, I did not think of, you know, what you would normally use this for.
I thought immediately, okay, gift.
I would put a gift in this.
Absolutely.
So this I thought could be another cool Valentine's Day idea.
Or you want to put this together for, you know, the special man in your life that maybe
likes to mix cocktails or something like that.
I don't know.
But if you have a special someone in your life that loves to make cocktails, then there you go.
I thought maybe this could be a cool gift.
So I took those socks and then I took the sleep mask that I just showed you.
And I just figured, you know, let's make this a comfort kind of gift.
So I'm cutting the tag off of this just to make sure that these gloves fit.
And I don't know about you guys right now, but it is so cold where we are in Virginia that
I'm just thinking all about like warm things, like warm socks,
warm gloves, and then just put it all back together.
And there you go.
It's so such a quick and easy gift idea.
And here are the gifts all put together.
This is everything we did today.
Okay, guys, if you made it to the end of this video and you're still watching,
thank you so much.
Thank you for watching this video.
Thank you.
If you watched my last video that I posted before this,
a brand new Dollar Tree 2026 Valentine's Day DIYs.
I'm so excited to be back here posting on YouTube.
And I hope to make this a weekly thing again.
I hope to be posting weekly again on YouTube.
I hope to be posting every Sunday from now on around 7 p.m.
I say that and then I'm always delayed.
So I apologize for that.
But so anyway, I owe you guys a life update.
And so life update wise, I have pumpkin to share.
I don't know if you guys could hear her, but
she is a purring machine.
And so we found her on Thanksgiving.
I'm trying to hold her.
She was literally great on my lap while I was editing my video this whole time.
And now I finally am filming something with her and she's like, nope.
But anyway, we found her on Thanksgiving.
We found her at my husband's grandparents farm.
And it's kind of a unique situation because we
so we brought mac and cheese as a side dish for Thanksgiving dinner.
And so we named her mac and cheese at first.
And so she it's we don't really know exactly how she showed up at the farm.
We don't know.
We think maybe maybe the barn one of the barn cats gave birth potentially
or somebody maybe dumped her on their land,
which unfortunately tends to happen where they are in Pennsylvania.
And so they they try to care for the cats that get left there as best they can.
But she is the kind of cat that requires extensive medical care
because she had so many bacterial infections when we got her.
So we took her off their hands.
And well, we figured we hope for the best because we really we weren't sure if we were
if we were going to be able to keep her ourselves with
our three cats and a puppy that we just got in August.
But the longer we had her, I mean, we've just fallen in love with her.
And so she wasn't really responding well to the name mac and cheese.
So then we ended up renaming her recently to pumpkin.
And and yes, we are definitely keeping her.
And we are just trying to get her through the tail end of this upper respiratory infection.
She is so close to getting over it.
You guys like she is not sneezing anymore.
She just has a little bit congestion sometimes.
And she's on really, really strong antibiotics.
So yeah, we're just trying to get her through the end of this cold.
But she is already I say she's fitting in pretty well here.
So but yeah, she so she's doing great.
And so that is one of the updates.
And then so other update wise, I don't know if you guys have been
following what I've been posting on my YouTube community tab,
but she's scratching the post and it's making video shake.
But basically, this year was a very, very tough year for us this past year 2025.
It was very, very it just seemed like the hits just kept coming.
It started off with me losing my job very beginning of March.
I was out of work for two months.
My company went through mass layoffs.
300 plus of us all got let go at the same time.
It was just awful.
And the job market was just awful.
But I just feel lucky, lucky to have landed on my feet.
And so I do have another job.
And I've been working at this job now since end of April.
So I'm just so thankful to have this because it's just not easy right now.
So but at the time that I lost my job,
we were literally in the in the process of moving.
And there's Eddie.
So we had put down a deposit on a condo that we thought was going to be like our dream condo.
And it was all being built and whatnot.
And we picked out all our fixtures and whatnot.
And so we were so excited.
We were fixing up our house to be able to sell it next.
And we were just months away.
And then I lost my job.
So we had to fight to get our money back and all of that.
And of course, so so that was rough.
But we did get our money back.
And then we realized, you know, maybe condo living isn't for us.
So hopefully on to bigger, better things.
And hopefully we find the house of our dreams in the future.
So that's at least that resolved on a happy note.
You know, we're happy where we are right now.
So but yeah, as I mentioned, we did get a puppy in August.
And her name is Moon.
And we ended up getting a puppy in August because our...
Yeah, it's so hard to talk about.
Our dog Harley, we had her for close to nine years.
She passed, unfortunately, in July, end of July.
Just very suddenly, we thought she was...
I mean, beginning of July, she seemed totally fine.
And then all of a sudden, just having neurological issues.
And it was just a very just steep decline.
Once it happened, it just...
We could tell there was no going back, unfortunately.
So yeah, we had to say goodbye to her end of July.
And I miss her so much every day.
It feels weird to, you know, decorating...
To be decorating seasonally, you know, without Harley.
And not having her to dress up for Halloween and things like that.
So yeah, just been dealing with that.
So 2025 was a rough year, guys.
And so yeah, all of that happened in 2025.
And then we never expected to have a puppy and a kitten at the same time.
So yeah, we have some things to look forward to, for sure.
But she has been...
She and Moon have both been just a light in our lives.
So we're just so thankful to have them.
And yeah, so that has...
That's been what's going on with me.
That's why I haven't been posting as much as I wanted to in 2025.
But I am optimistic about 2026.
And I can't wait to be posting more videos for you guys this year.
And get back to a regular cadence and frequency.
So hopefully Sunday at 7 is the day moving forward.
So yeah, and that's when I'm posting this video.
