Sean "Diddy" Combs broke his silence after his homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal agents.
There's new video this morning of the raid on the L.A. mansion of Sean Diddy Combs this week.
The new video from TMZ comes as Diddy's attorney responds to the raid that she saw here first
on Fox 11. Coco McEvoy joins us live in Holby Hills. Good morning.
Good morning. This is a developing story that we continue to follow
and Diddy released a statement through his attorney claiming his innocence.
We'll get to that in just a second but first take a look at some of this video that we have.
Fox 11 first brought you exclusive video of heavily armed federal agents
raiding the homes of music mobile Sean Diddy Combs. The raids are in connection to a federal
sex trafficking case. Video from TMZ shows agents going room to room seizing evidence.
The agents also detained Diddy's sons. Here's a statement from Diddy through his attorney.
It reads quote yesterday there was a gross overuse of military level force as search
warrants were executed at Mr. Combs residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force
and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.
Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities.
Despite media speculation neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested
nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way. This unprecedented ambush paired with
an advanced coordinated media presence leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs
and it's nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.
There's been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr.
Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name. That is the statement
but former federal prosecutor Nima Rahmani believes an arrest is just a matter of time.
Diddy is in a world of hurt. He's being prosecuted likely by the most prestigious prosecution office
in the country in the southern district of New York and a federal judge had to sign off on not
one but two search warrants of his homes in Los Angeles and Miami and of course we know that there
are several civil lawsuits against them and when there's smoke there's fire. This all comes as Diddy
faces another civil lawsuit from a music producer with explosive allegations of sexual assault,
sex trafficking and drugging of underage girls by Diddy, his son Justin and several others. So again
this is a very developing story and we will continue to monitor every development.
We'll send it back to you. All right Coco, thank you.
