Hi guys, welcome back to my channel.
Of course, I have the most beautiful boy
in the whole wide world, Mr. Angara with me.
And today, I wanna do a little bit of like,
a day in the life of him,
and kind of compare it to the big champ, Sugriva,
who is one of his very best friends.
If you guys are new to this channel,
go back and check out my morning routine.
That'll give you a little bit of an idea
of what's already happened this morning.
He's already drank two of these.
I've already put the cheetahs out.
The hyena's been fed and is playing with Argos.
He's already played with Argos.
It's noon.
So at noon, come here, buddy.
It's time for him to try out some fruits.
Come here.
You ready?
Want some apple?
You want some grapes?
What do you want?
Let's go get some.
He's not actually eating a ton of food.
A lot of what he's doing is he'll kind of like,
pop the grape, suck all the juices out of it,
and then kind of spit out the skin.
So he's still learning how to eat.
The one thing that he eats really well
is something we call monkey mush.
I know he's not a monkey.
I know that.
He's an ape.
I've already explained this before.
Every ape is a monkey, but not every monkey is an ape,
just like every human is an ape,
but not every ape is human.
Monkey mush is just so much more fun to say, okay?
He's an ape.
He's a giant primate without a tail,
but there are tiny apes too, right?
Like Jai.
If you guys haven't met Jai yet, go back.
Check it out.
She's a white-handed gibbon.
White-handed gibbons get to be about 35 pounds.
So that's why they call her a lesser ape
because she's a tiny ape.
Don't like the word lesser.
We'll fix it one day.
Let's see.
Angada for lunch is going to try some grapes and an apple.
And again, same thing with the apple.
He's going to chew it up and spit it out.
When Sugriva wakes up first thing in the morning,
he actually gets a giant protein shake.
That's what he has for breakfast.
And then he plays around with Cody for a while
and he goes out to our giant ape building.
There he gets to hang out with the chimp sisters
and his chimp brother, Volley.
And he'll actually spend about 12 hours a day out there.
Angada is about to turn two years old
and Sugriva is nine.
So that's the difference between them.
Angada is 25 pounds.
Sugriva is 140 pounds.
That's a big boy.
For lunch for Sugriva, look at this.
He eats three bananas, a sweet potato, two apples,
a head of lettuce, a carrot, some corn.
And once again, we call it monkey chow, okay?
It's all right.
He gets a couple of cups of this.
This actually has all the vitamins, nutrition and protein
that he's going to need in a day.
That's his lunch.
That's crazy.
Oh, you want to see my lunch?
I know a couple of you guys have actually commented
about how I'm always wearing this.
It simplifies my life.
This is just who I am and what I do.
I wear basically the exact same thing every day.
And I kind of eat the exact same thing every day.
For about the past four years,
I've eaten almost nothing but cabbage soup.
So I decided I would actually mix it up a little bit.
And I started going with this little program
called Splendid Spoon.
Once again, not being paid for this.
This is just what I'm doing.
So for lunch, I have one of these amazing shakes.
And for dinner, I have their soup.
For breakfast, I have coffee.
You want to eat some?
Let's go eat some.
So usually he wants to try everything I'm eating.
He doesn't necessarily like it, but he wants to try it.
This one is green matcha smoothie.
So yeah, maybe it's not his favorite.
Hey buddy, want some grapes?
Want some grapes?
Sometimes he's just too excited to eat
and he wants to go out and play.
And that's what it looks like is today.
You ready?
You want to go off on an adventure?
Let's go to the bridge.
So one of the places that we like to go and hang out
is up here where this giant bridge is.
We're going to go to the very top up there.
And the reason we go to the very top
is because it makes Angada think
that he's like big and strong.
And so he like bangs things when he gets up there.
I think all of a sudden he thinks he's a giant.
And then we like to go across the bridge.
The bridge just helps to build confidence for him, right?
I'm with him.
So he knows it's safe.
Let's go.
You want to lead?
You want to show them how we go up there?
Yeah.
Oh, look how excited he is.
Ah!
Oh, he's running.
Okay, we're running.
Good boy.
Yeah.
This is the ultimate tree house.
I was thinking one day,
maybe we should try sleeping up here.
I don't know.
Probably it'd be full of mosquitoes,
but I absolutely love it up here.
And my favorite flower.
Look at this.
This is Passiflora or passion flower.
Look at it.
It looks alien, right?
This actually grows naturally here in South Carolina.
I found one in the woods
and I was so excited
that we started planting it everywhere on the property.
That is so pretty.
Yeah, show everyone how cool you are.
You're the biggest, coolest boy in the whole wide world.
Yeah, you know you are.
Where's Muffy's phone?
Yeah.
Good boy.
You want to go across the bridge?
Want to show them how cool and brave you are
going across the bridge?
Yeah, let's do it.
Are you ready?
Let's go across the bridge.
You're such a brave boy.
Yeah.
Look at him.
This is moving a lot,
but he's so brave and I'm out here.
So he knows he's safe.
Yeah.
Jack doesn't know he's safe though.
I do know I'm safe.
I'm just losing balance.
Cause I'm walking backwards.
Look, it's never gotten underwater.
It's the weight of all of us.
Good.
That's funny.
Yeah, good boy.
So this is also one of Sigriva's favorite places.
He loves to come out here.
He loves to bounce the bridge, right?
I think it just makes him feel so powerful and cool.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're so big.
You're so cool.
Oh, oh my God.
Okay, you guys wait.
Look.
His name is Great White.
He's actually probably about 15 to 20 years old.
We didn't get him as a baby.
He was already pretty big when we got him.
He is not your traditional looking alligator.
He actually is a little bit lighter.
Look at him.
So alligators are normally much darker,
but he's actually kind of a white alligator that has a tan.
Great White is pretty.
So someone is going to say,
isn't that dangerous to have the alligator in there?
We've actually jumped in the pond with wolves and dogs
and tigers.
The alligator just gets out of the way.
The alligator is not a crocodile, right?
The alligator does not want to eat giant mammals.
I'm not saying it's never happened,
but in general, gators eat like fish and frogs.
Crocodiles eat zebras and humans.
Eek.
One of my passions that you guys probably do not know about
is I actually love gardening.
I planted these.
Basically my yard was pretty like empty
and I planted probably 30 trees in my yard.
My number one passion, of course, is flowers.
I love flowers.
So that is actually something that me and An got to do
in the afternoon.
Is water and feed all of the plants.
If that's something you guys are actually interested
in knowing more about, comment down below.
Let me know what you think.
Do you want to know some of my plants?
So after a long day of adventure, of course,
we have to go in for dinner time.
If you guys want to see dinner time for Sugreeva,
then check out Chimp Dinner Live.
We do that every single Sunday at 8 p.m.
Cody Antle goes live on his Instagram, his TikTok,
and the Myrtle Beach Safari YouTube channel has it live.
So there's a lot of places where you can see their dinner.
Basically they eat a huge bowl of rice and beans
with all kinds of good stuff on top of it.
I eat Splendid Spoon.
So I eat soup for dinner and Angada eats the monkey mush
that I was talking about earlier.
And then of course, we've had a long day.
It's like 85 degrees today.
It is hot.
So we need to go in and take a shower.
I want to introduce you to my shower
because my shower was built specifically for giant apes.
You guys don't need to watch a shower,
but I'm going to bring you in there
so that you can see what we did to design the shower.
So I guess this is like a tiny piece of the house tour.
This is, in my opinion,
the only really cool thing about my house.
Check that out.
Bulletproof glass.
These can hold a 200 pound man or chimpanzee.
Look at the ceiling.
That's how we fill the tub.
And of course, we put the shower head way up high.
And that's so a giant chimpanzee can come in here.
This is a two-year-old chimpanzee.
And that is a nine-year-old chimpanzee.
That's why we need the bulletproof glass.
That's why we need those giant bars.
So Grieva, can you pick yourself up with that giant bar?
Oh, I don't believe it!
Yes!
So that's why we need this shower, right?
And then, after he's had a long day,
he's eaten his dinner, he's played with his hyena,
then it's time to go to bed.
Get him, Sigriva, get him.
Of course, one of Angada's favorite time of the day
is playing with Sigriva.
He loves his big brother.
I hope you guys enjoyed this video
as much as we enjoyed making it.
