a prophet, an astrologer, and an alchemist.
Coming soon, Nostradamus predicts for the United States.
A major earthquake on the east coast. Two tectonic plates will collide.
Nostradamus predicted a major earthquake on the east coast of the United States.
This area rarely experiences earthquakes.
However, a recent earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale occurred in New York,
causing buildings to shake and people to panic.
Before a major earthquake, there are often smaller tremors that serve as warnings.
Could this earthquake be a warning of the major earthquake Nostradamus predicted?
About two-thirds of the prophecies of Nostradamus have already come to fruition.
That's why people keep looking to them for truth.
The most terrifying of his predictions are the ones that have yet to happen.
We are living in a time where we may witness the fulfillment of the remaining one-third of his prophecies.
Nostradamus predicted a massive earthquake on the east coast of the U.S.
How will it happen, and what salvation is there for humanity?
Join us in today's video as we explore his verses.
A major earthquake on the U.S. east coast.
That is the verse from Century Derwan, Quatrain 87.
Earth-shaking fire from the center of the earth will cause tremors around the new city.
Two great rocks will war for a long time.
Then Erithuza will redden a new river.
As explored and discussed in previous sections,
Nostradamus often used the term New Land to refer to America,
as the Americas were newly discovered during his time.
New City was his way of referring to a major city in the New Land, America.
Two cities that can represent the U.S. are New York and Washington, D.C.
Both of these cities are located on the U.S. east coast,
and they are not far from each other, with a distance of just over 300 kilometers.
The earth's crust on the eastern United States primarily sits on a very ancient geological foundation,
part of the North American Shield.
These foundational parts were formed hundreds of millions of years ago,
dating back to the Precambrian era, around 1 billion years ago.
This geological layer consists mainly of metamorphic and igneous rocks,
such as granite, gneiss, and schist, which are very hard and stable.
Due to its long history, this region has very little tectonic activity
and fewer fractures compared to the western U.S.
However, because of this, if an earthquake does occur,
seismic waves would travel farther, affecting a larger area.
If a major earthquake were to strike here, it would impact the entire region.
In the quatrain above, Nostradamus prophesied that the U.S. east coast
would experience a powerful earthquake.
He also pointed out that the cause of this event would be due to the movement of magma
and tectonic plates located deep within the earth's core.
However, if a major earthquake were to actually occur on the U.S. east coast,
the consequences would be catastrophic.
Millions of people would face an emergency situation.
Let's try to imagine the possible outcomes.
Possible Scenarios
The epicenter of the earthquake could be located between New York and Washington, D.C.,
extending northward to Boston and southward to Virginia,
and even reaching as far as New Madrid.
Skyscrapers would shake violently, with many buildings collapsing,
leading to numerous deaths and people trapped under rubble without access to food or water.
Transportation systems would be disrupted,
and military rescue teams would only be able to move via helicopter.
An earthquake of this magnitude would cut off power supplies,
causing widespread blackouts and potentially triggering fires.
The internet and telecommunications networks would fail,
making it impossible for people to contact loved ones.
Water pipes could burst, flooding tunnels, posing great danger to anyone inside them.
Hospitals would become overwhelmed as the number of injured patients surged.
Below, we will examine previous earthquakes on the U.S. east coast,
focusing on their magnitude and the impact they had on the solid geological characteristics of the region.
Past Earthquakes
New Madrid Earthquake Series, 1811-1812
Time frame, December, 1811-February 1812
Magnitude, major earthquakes ranged from 7.0 to 8.0
Affected areas, the New Madrid area along the Mississippi River,
where modern-day Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas are located.
Impact
This series of earthquakes caused significant geographical changes,
including deep fissures altering the course of the Mississippi River
and even temporarily reversing its flow.
New York Earthquake, 1884
Date, August 10, 1884
Magnitude, 5.2 affected areas, New York City and the Long Island area.
Impact
Although not severely destructive, this earthquake caused widespread panic due to strong shaking.
It remains one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded in this region.
Charleston Earthquake, 1886
Date, August 31, 1886
Magnitude, approximately 7.0
Affected areas, Charleston, South Carolina and surrounding regions.
Impact
One of the strongest earthquakes ever to hit the eastern U.S.,
killing 60 people and causing significant damage to buildings in Charleston.
The earthquake was felt as far away as New York and Ohio.
Virginia Earthquake, 2011
Date, August 23, 2011
Magnitude, 5.8 affected areas.
The epicenter was in the town of Mineral, Virginia,
and the earthquake was felt from Georgia to New England,
including Washington, D.C., where several large buildings sustained minor damage.
Impact, no fatalities.
The Washington Monument and the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. were damaged.
Most recent, New York Earthquake, April 5, 2024
Magnitude, 4.8
Impact
The earthquake shook the northeastern U.S. on the morning of April 5.
The epicenter was near Whitehouse Station, New Jersey,
and it shook buildings from Philadelphia to New Jersey.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, USGS,
the tremors from the earthquake could be felt as far south as Washington, D.C.,
and as far north as Maine.
This strong earthquake occurred just a few days after the 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan,
which left at least 12 people dead and more than 900 others injured.
By examining past earthquakes, it becomes clear that seismic waves can travel long distances,
impacting a wide area.
The April 5, 2024
Earthquake could be a warning for the massive earthquake that Nostradamus foretold.
Nostradamus mentioned that the earthquake would originate from deep within the Earth's core,
meaning other parts of the world could also be affected,
suggesting that multiple regions might experience earthquakes simultaneously.
Since the Earth is a unified body, when one area bulges, another could sink.
For example, in Asia, regions like Japan and Taiwan could experience earthquakes around the same time
if one were to occur in the U.S., and vice versa.
This is a scientific way of predicting such events.
Two Tectonic Plates Collide
Two great rocks will war for a long time.
Two great rocks refers to two large tectonic plates made of rock.
The word war means to fight.
This verse suggests that two large tectonic plates will collide with each other for an extended period of time.
There are five major tectonic plates in the world.
The two tectonic plates mentioned here could be the North American Plate and the Pacific Plate colliding with each other.
Pacific Plate
Located to the west of the United States, primarily along the coast of California,
this plate moves northwest and interacts with the North American Plate.
The San Andreas Fault is the boundary between the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate
and is responsible for many of the major earthquakes in California.
North American Plate
This plate covers most of the United States and North America.
It moves southwest and interacts with the Pacific Plate along the western coast.
Earthquakes occur when the North American Plate and Pacific Plate collide
or slide past each other at plate boundaries, like the San Andreas Fault.
Additionally, in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S., Washington and Oregon,
the interaction between the Juan de Fuca Plate and the North American Plate
causes earthquakes in the Cascadia Subduction Zone.
When the Pacific Plate and North American Plate move and collide,
they can generate severe tremors in California.
These large earthquakes can cause intense shaking, making people feel like the earth is trembling.
This verse could be interpreted as the image of two large tectonic plates colliding,
generating continuous earthquakes.
Two great rocks represent the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate,
and they war with each other not in a single moment, but over a long period of time.
This could imply that earthquakes won't happen just once.
Aftershocks and other earthquakes may persist for days or months.
These earthquakes could create a series of tremors, affecting people's mental well-being
and causing ongoing anxiety about future earthquakes.
In reality, geologists have warned that if a major earthquake occurs in California,
tectonic plates could trigger a chain reaction affecting distant areas, including New York.
This makes the scenario more plausible and even more concerning.
A new river appears.
Then Arethusa will redden a new river.
The final line of the quatrain can be interpreted metaphorically.
Arethusa is a figure from Greek mythology, known as a nymph associated with freshwater streams.
The imagery in this verse could symbolize the formation of a new river following an earthquake,
potentially due to land shifting, creating fissures or new waterways.
Volcanoes might also erupt, forming rivers of bright red lava.
In literature and art, Arethusa often represents purity, transformation, and a strong connection to nature.
The verse may also suggest renewal or rebirth after humanity endures the great cataclysm of the end times.
Salvation Nostradamus predicted that starting from this period, many disasters would decimate humanity.
He stated,
During times of upheaval, there is no safe place.
Quatrain 35, Century 10
He also made an important remark.
Humans, separated by iron and steel, can only call upon the great gods for salvation.
Ordinarily, people think they are highly capable, and human science is considered very advanced.
But when faced with the forces of nature, humanity is truly small.
Buildings in cities made of steel and concrete may seem sturdy, but a large earthquake can bring them crashing down.
Humans, separated by iron and steel, likely refers to people being buried under rubble when earthquakes strike cities, leaving them helpless.
It's only in such moments that many turn to the gods for help.
In disasters, miracles often occur.
In the earthquake in Turkey on February 6, 2023, many survival stories emerged that seemed like miracles.
A three-year-old girl was rescued after being trapped for over 70 hours under the rubble of a building in Antakya.
She was found in good condition, and her story became a symbol of hope amidst the devastation.
A family of four survived after being trapped under the wreckage of their home for about 48 hours.
They maintained hope for each other and were rescued by a team, showcasing resilience and family spirit in times of hardship.
Nostradamus has shown us that it is not science, but only the gods who can save us.
By repenting, changing ourselves, and praying sincerely, we can receive the protection of the gods.
If more people strive to become better, we believe that disasters may be lessened or even avoided altogether.
