Hey Gospel Guitarist here with the uh Carbon Quad X video on all of the rear panel options.
Let's take a closer look at them. Okay starting on the left here we have
the channel effects loops. Now this unit has six in total. As you can see there is a send and return
for each channel individually. You can stick anything you want in here on your channels.
If you just want a compressor pedal and a wah-wah pedal then on channel one you can do that. If you
want delays on two patch your favorite pedal in or you can use complete effects units if you want.
I want to try out my uh Boss ME-50. I could plug into any one of those if I wanted and plug in
my Roland synthesizer on another channel. So there's lots of options here and you have your
power switch and your power cable on the far left here. Next over let's take it a MIDI section.
Now here we have full size normal standard MIDI in and out connect or MIDI and through connections
and inside here are dip switches that you can just take a small screwdriver and using this
little panel here it will tell you how to set this the dip switches to change the channel between
one and through 16 and the o's are off and the ones are on and it's just very simple
straightforward. We also have the FS 77 foot switch plugs in here with a nine pinned in connector
and that allows you to control your channel switching your effects on and off reverb on and
off can all be done by the foot switch. Okay here we have the master effects loop and there's two
of them. If you watch my video on the front panel then you've seen me talk about the reverb control
and on and off switch. Now you can bypass the built-in Accutronics reverb unit by patching in
your own reverb unit. Maybe you got your favorite piece of rack gear like a maybe it's an Alesis
unit or Yamaha unit and you can patch it in right here so that you come out the send and return
in stereo and the unit that you have patched into this effects loop is controllable by the
front panel volume control for your mix. So just set your unit to full wet and then control the
wet dry mix on the front of this unit. Next to that we have a master send and a stereo return
for another effects unit and that totals six different effects units that you can patch into
this preamp. So your routing capabilities are extensive. Let's slide over and take a look at
the out section. Okay here's your preamp out and you've got quarter inch stereo outputs and you've
balanced XLRs and these are cabinet voiced. There's a cabinet voicing switch on the front panel
and it emulates a 412 cabinet tone for home recording or studio recording. You've also got
your ground lift switch. You've got a mono output which is controlled by the mono volume control on
the front panel which is next to your stereo control volume control on the front panel.
You've got your headphones and the headphones is also controlled by the front stereo
volume control and then you've got another input for your guitar on the back. So that completes
the video on the features of the rear panel of the Carbon Quad X amp. I hope you found it
informative and helps you on your decision whether you might want to buy one of these
machines or not if you're looking into that. There you go folks. Thanks for watching. Please
subscribe and like and share the videos and until next time, Al's Guitarist signing off.
