Hey wildflower, where'd you go?
Looking for daylight in the canyon low
It feels so surreal that after eight long years,
what feels like a lifetime's worth of memories we've already made together,
we're back at a starting point once again.
I'm so excited to marry you.
We could be honest
We could be hollow
It could be all the things we swore when we were younger
Under the willow
It could be all the things we swore when we were younger
As we lie awake
Moonlight drift
Stars unravel
I remember Alla coming home from a trip to Vegas
and she told me she met a guy named Shahan.
They had an instant connection, fell hard and fast for each other.
Shahan, I admire how much you believe in Alla
and I know you'll take great care of her in this next chapter of your relationship.
I was, and very likely still am,
the annoying younger brother who just wanted to do everything Shahan did.
All of those things that I did because I wanted to be more like him
made me a better person today
and it's because Shahan is the biggest role model I've had in my life.
I think it's amazing that somebody who typically never asks for help
can be so trusting and vulnerable with somebody.
And if that somebody were to be anyone,
I guess a hairier version of me
is acceptable.
You have, without a doubt, made me a better person
than I could have ever been on my own.
I promise to start cutting your hair again
so you never have to pay for another haircut after this one.
I promise to stay bad at math
so we can have more moments where we laugh
until we can't breathe.
And also because I don't have a choice.
The decision to approach that beautiful girl in the pool
turned out to shape the following eight and a half years of my life
in ways that have brought me joy,
have brought me to tears,
and sent me to Australia for a year
and taught me that chihuahuas can be cute and lovable too.
When you both first started dating,
Shahan wasn't necessarily the most fond of Queenie.
I can't remember all the details,
but the word little rat somehow rings true in my head a little bit.
But, of course,
as your relationship grew and flourished,
so did his love for Queenie.
Part of that was because Queenie was, again,
the most lovable being on planet Earth.
But also, I do wholeheartedly believe
that it was a reflection of how much Shahan's love grew for you.
You three became...
You three became your own little family.
You gave us all a glimpse into how beautifully you two work as a couple,
as partners, and hopefully one day as parents.
And as we grow old together, we're going to keep changing.
And I promise to treat the navigation of our differences
as an ongoing process of learning,
and not like something that we've already figured out.
I'm going to sing.
To learn Armenian.
Because I know
how good it is for you
that our children
know and recognize Armenian.
I'm already learning a little,
but you'll help me speak better.
I'm already learning to read and write.
I'm going to sing
so that my children
can hear me better.
I'm not afraid of heights
and I'm not afraid of heights.
I'm not afraid of heights.
You're intelligent, hardworking, kind.
I adore you.
You're adventurous. You're beautiful.
And most of all, you are the humblest.
I love you.
If you will be with my daughter,
you will feel secured.
No matter where you are, wherever you go,
she'll take charge,
and you'll just be sitting pretty.
You've got qualities that I know will make you an amazing life partner
and a mother, if we're lucky.
I love your strength.
I love your goofiness, and I love your compassion.
And from this day on, I get to call you my wife,
and I can't wait to see
the world that we'll create for ourselves.
By the power vested in me by the state of California,
I now pronounce you husband and wife.
You may kiss your bride.
Come here. Come here. Come here.
God, man, you make me...
Jesus Christ.
What the fuck?
