Breeding Season Isn't Going Quite The Way We Planned!

Good morning guys. Welcome to today's video. I'm just telling Sam that it snowed at my friend's house down the road. Last night she posted a picture and it was like hail this big and it was a big pile like a huge pile of it all over her porch in her garage and he said maybe it was just frost. Yeah maybe it was just frost. Looked like snow. Looked like hail. Big huge golf balls of snow but it was probably frost. Frost is white. We were in bed so we didn't see but anyway welcome to today's video or at least we were in the house i was in bed sam didn't see it look at the moon wow in the camera it looks like just a big white ball but in real life you can just see just a little teeny tiny moon sun isn't even up yet wow look at all the stars you guys we are like the lamest people look at the stars you never see stars you know it's early and nobody be making a sound well hello piggies all right who's that pig just look quick tell me who's that pig it's hard for me to tell them apart now i have to look i have to look for the spot because posy pigs got a spot wow wow she's like tell him that i go first it's true Posey goes first I feel like we went through this whole generation of boys and girls are equal which they are but we left out chivalry like I didn't teach my boys oh girls go first let the girls go first like I never taught my little boys to treat girls differently because it wasn't the way did your parents teach you to let girls go first I'll answer for you no like uh 30s 40s yeah it is like 30s 40s thing and it wasn't the last two generations and i can tell like i you need we need to bring it back i wish i had taught my boys to treat girls with chivalry get in there warm in that stall with all that hay they're the first ones to get fed on this farm and they're probably thinking yeah it should be that way wow almost 60 almost 60 degrees in this barn not 60 degrees outside it's actually gorgeous out this morning oh did you see how cute she looks she looks nice i can't wait to see what dash's babies look like i'm hoping they look exactly like that so breeding update i think that almost everybody's bred like she's already looking so big and she's only two months pregnant she's three months she's three months left to go but she is looking big she does get big during pregnancy come on dude i just want a video out here for five minutes that's it i think that the yearlings hazel posh hazel and cinderella i think they did come back into heat and we just gave up we didn't breed them we didn't breed them because it's been frustrating we tried like a bunch of times when it seemed like they were in heat and it's hard to tell it seems like they're in heat every five minutes like every other day so every time we try and breed them they're not receptive so we just left it we're gonna wait until they come back into a definite heat a heat that we can tell dude this is my house this is my house you just live here you're just a visitor there's still lots of time to breed them and to be honest sophie really wants later babies like we breed all of our goats and everybody does if we breed them early in the season like everybody doesn't breed for august babies so i would say that the majority of them are bred and any stragglers we're just gonna wait because we want the breeding season to go on longer like it's exciting for us and fun for us okay i love the births so much oh it's glorious out here they're stormy and willow having breakfast if anybody doesn't if anybody doesn't catch now then we'll just breed them a little later which is exactly what we want we want like sophie even wants late babies like august september babies she even wants that ideally we could have like babies from january all the way till august the reason people don't breed for august babies or september babies is because they're a lot harder to re-home and that's not a big deal for us because we don't care we'll just keep them and they say it's a lot easier on a baby goat to be bred in cold weather than in hot weather we got sophie out riding this morning and i can see from here that lady is calm cool and collected again i came out of the bathroom when everybody was gone gabby sophie riding and you're still working on the tractor how's it going you think it's gonna happen today i don't know my granddaughter's coming tomorrow for me to take pictures and this is not gonna work even though it's so cute i love it so much for them to look at me so i can take their picture they're staring into the sun so it's not gonna work so i gotta move all this and change it again way too sunny in my family like the kids that my kids have given birth to and all the kids that i've given birth to there are 20 people in our family wait let me recount that okay i think i was wrong i think there's 16 i don't know i'm about to see i can't count i came to get some string And I saw this and I can't walk away She watched storm yesterday who kissed me nice and slow look at this all the horses are here except for I'll show you Here Gracie look those are for you. I throw them to Gracie and she gets them She's not dumb, but look so he's riding so he's riding so that means that her honey is down there Oh, she was trying to get out the out the fence, but now she thinks I have treats and she's coming Shoot everybody go into storm this is the first year this is the first year we did not go through a whole bag of treats in the summer oh my gosh they're all be standing here give me a kiss come here kiss you have to come, i'm not coming to you, kiss, what's the matter? you don't want to go near Willow? look, gotta kiss me, thank you. horses are so smart. Willow kisses too, she says thank you. did you hear her? thank you here, wait penny one for you all right back to work people i have to get Sam to help me tie the stuff down, but look at it, it's too bright still too bright, you got to go where it's dark to take pictures, i'm going to move that one bale over here probably but i'll show you, like, see how it's all washed out in the camera, that means it's too bright this is awful, this is awful, i want it to be like so nice, so i'm gonna have to move it, i'm gonna have to move it, i'm gonna have to go back in that corner, let's go see, so see it's like super washed out here too, unless we go under the trees, so that's better, all right i guess this is where it's gonna have to be, this is annoying this is annoying, all right this is the plan, i'm gonna move it all again, okay, stop the presses, i have an idea i have a bench that i'm in love with so i'm gonna get sam and the girls carry it over here for me it's in the barn and i'm going to use a bench and i'm going to use some blankets and maybe some pillows i have to move it all the way over there i'm just going to make it look nice they do it the easy way they take the truck in there and they get the bench i just use my two hands and my two feet and carry them oh don't you even dare the chickens were eating the cat food yeah i know they always how was your ride it looks so it looks so bright in here but it's so dark like and it just looks cozy I don't know did she I know Gabby needs a horse that she could ride this is my bench oh that was my bench I love this bench here let me help you I showed it to you before you can't grab by there he's right back go back please all right so I showed you well let's fix it i showed you before it it comes up and then it's a table so see they sit there and eat there but it's so nice i'm going to get some pillows it's back here in the shade all right well can you build it up so i'm going to have people sit there i'm going to have people sit on hay bales i have more pumpkins i'm going to get a blanket there's some shadows though from the trees oh well the best I can do leaves on the ground though I have another giant pumpkin that I might put over here still might put in front of the bench actually I'm gonna get a blanket I need a nice nice white blanket but I don't have one look like a scarecrow oh my goodness all right so that's it for now lots of leaves in the ground this is it and how it's gonna look I'm gonna get Sam to fix those things because they're annoying but I put a little box behind there which I actually wouldn't even mind if it was in the shot because it's so rustic but for kids to stand on like little kids to stand on like Lily maybe but I figure we could put like two people there two people here four people there maybe two on the back that's 10 and maybe some people sitting I don't know oh actually people can stand behind too we're gonna we're gonna figure it out though but that's the setup I'm gonna get a blanket. I'm gonna go look right now and see if I have a blanket and maybe some pillows I have these little wooden tables too that I can take over there.
