I Am So Over This G O A T!

I love coming outside every morning and the very first thing I see are just animals everywhere. Free range husbands, free range chickens, free range cats. It's my favorite. Where are you going? Go barn. I'll meet you there. I'll meet you there. Fresh kitty litter though. I have to drop it off. I know most of the time barn cats go outside, but I still like to have them in here, especially when it's really cold. So they have the option. but also there are a few things I wanted to get out of this barn because I bought Sylvie something for her birthday I cannot wait so her birthday's next week but Sam bought her some stuff and I bought her some stuff I think I'm going to give her the stuff that I bought her on the weekend it'll be early so I'm trying to get it all ready it's so exciting I've been like researching researching figuring everything out out that we need and it's been really fun for me I know it doesn't look like it but this barn feels so homey like with the lights down low and the giant cat tree and i don't know it just feels so homey but also i found this big piece of wood and i might take it because i've been looking at all these craft things that you can do and i've been really into making crafts that would be perfect but also i've been cleaning out my section over here slowly over time this used to be completely full right here and i have this section all cleaned out we got christmas stuff like oh no the cat the cat's wrecking my christmas stuff most of these buckets are empty like i'm doing a lot of work back here turns out what i need is a little bit buried so i'm going to come back for it but it's good stuff the stuff that i have packed away yeah i'm excited I just want to get down to the goat barn before Sam leaves when he's working on stuff. I like to be there I like to watch and see what he's doing and then add my input if I need to It's crazy how much I miss the chickens when we didn't have them though Like you don't even realize you miss them and then you have them and they're just wandering around and you realize You miss them. Horses are having lunch My little posse they all came to see me I don't really want to touch you right now, but Sophie and I have been really enjoying Dash so much like he's just so funny he he literally will come right up to you and and smell you he's so cute look at this little his little comb over on the top and he's such a funny color now he's so cute well hello little man what's up hey you're getting your feet done today and you're not gonna like me for a few days this is Snickers and we got him when he was one he lived in the house and was beloved by his family but then when he moved here he was kind of shy also kind of hormonal and then we neutered him and he's just been getting better and better he's been seeking out my my attention lately but my favorite of the boys so far is this little man he's just so cute and this guy's just well behaved today is the last day of 70 degree weather here in Ontario or at least hope or at least this week there will be no warm weather it's gonna be in the 50s for the rest of this week oh i should clean off the cobwebs on that fan so sam is bringing back the heater my new hose exhaust hose gonna go that way so my idea because you can do this is to attach the hose run it up there and run it into a stall so that instead of like a heat lamp we can have the heater blowing down into a stall that stall and that stall and we can have babies in there but the problem is like a heat lamp stays on all the time this heater turns off when it gets to a certain temperature right yeah and it's not powerful enough to do that it's not powerful enough to heat up a spot to spread it all out everywhere oh anyway it works good for us all we use it for is to on really really cold days is to maintain a warmer temperature in the whole barn that looks fancy let me clean the cobwebs off that it's crazy how you can knock a hundred spider webs down and then the next morning they can be back just as elaborate just as elaborate oh my gosh the sound you don't want to hear wow they ate all that hay i'm gonna give them more hay because it's kind of rainy outside they're not gonna go out and eat in the grass so i'll give you guys more hay a little toffee a devil she knows when people she knows who she can get away with stuff from like she knows she can sneak in if sam goes in because sam's not watching for her hi hi Poshie winston doesn't let anybody else near us it's awful scared my babies away go away he thinks that the camera is food stop sam and i are both so frustrated by him he's just annoying he's cute but he's annoying and sophie just loves him so much all she sees is good she says he doesn't do anything bad with her oh my god god so what happens is that when i sit out here not all my goats will come and run up to me and spend time with me because none of them are brave enough because of his horns and he's trying to get up i have to protect her keep her safe yeah i see my baby so that's the exhaust that he's trying to shove out here hi cindy hi cinderella hi baby and i got my piggy here too she's like pet me pet me oh my girl look how fuzzy she got like just a month ago she had no hair at all and now a month later she's got thick hair Go away Yeah, I see my babies Look at how they scratch their butt. I can't believe Hazel's so chubby like I just can't believe it They get literally half as much food as they got in the summer half as much and there's still So much chubbier all of them like Posh is chubby Cinderella's always had problems with her weight, but Posh is never Hazel has never she's crouched in her back Are you itchy baby? Are you itchy? Itchy. Yeah, she always has dry skin. Pigs tend to have dry skin. Yes, my girl. We're gonna do your nails today, too It is nail day on the farm Finally, Sophie can't argue with me. I honestly don't know what else to do about their weight besides cut out grain But the way that it works and where we live the minerals that we can buy here They have to have grain to get minerals. Gone are the days where I would come down and lay beside Posey It's literally my favorite thing ever just laying beside her. She just makes me so happy. She's so big Alright, I was just sitting outside with the animals for a while. It was so fun Clearly Sam has left me because I'm down here by myself now gave everybody some more hay Go eat your hay, but we're all set up. That's it. We're all set up Sam will fill a tank that he'll have outside with Whatever propane or whatever it is that this uses and it'll come in here and he'll turn it on it has like a bunch of safety features if it falls over it shuts off and if it runs out it shuts off and then we have this hose it's really long and can stretch out and it'll blow hot air into the barn I don't want to use it like hardly at all the only time I want to use it is if it's like minus 30 and in the barn and it's hardly ever minus 30 in the barn but then we do use it so much more when the babies are born because we want it just to be moderately warm and the babies do really good in winter a lot better than they do in summer but it just makes me feel better knowing that they have like heat in there that and it's not even heat it doesn't heat up the barn it just keeps the barn from being frozen does that make sense sometimes it feels scary to go outside just to walk outside the door i'm surprised we've never had a cat attack the chickens, wow look how how cute you are up there you don't like him no he just stares at me now I like him alright we're out and we're ready to do goats it's a goat day hopefully we'll get as many as we can get done we're not doing the boys today you have a stinky boys because tonight we're gonna go to a haunted farm it's one of Gabby's favorite things to do this time of the this time of the year so we have to try and make sure we can go as much to as many as we can find the cat killed a bird a really big bird it's huge what is that sophie brought gloves oh there are rules here missy there are rules you do not kill blue jays oh my gosh turn it around so i can see the back of it i need to send a picture a video to dad oh my gosh it's so beautiful is it a blue jay no what other blue birds are flying around here it's got a lot oh my gosh it's so beautiful look what your cat did a blue jay you have to teach her no blue jays i can't believe she killed a blue jay she often kills little birds or she kills mice every single day but i can't believe she killed blue blue blue jay i've never even seen a blue jay up close like that before okay we need okay I'm really good at catching birds too they fly into my head oh no we did we have some weird karma with birds she can't handle it outside anymore sometimes when we do the nails she ends up in her stall All right, I like to I like to take a look at every single goat put my hands on them Even though I always have my hands on them. Look at her tail That's a perfect tail that like when you know one year when you made me cut my goat's tails and then you didn't cut yours Because we're getting ready for the birth Yeah All right Winston's back in the stall that he was born in Yeah, doesn't he remind you of blossom? He's lighter colored, but he reminds me of her He's gold. He's a chocolate gold He's gonna go to we're gonna put him to bed early today because we're leaving in a couple of hours And we're not gonna give them dinner Because they're all having so much grain right now. They're all having grain now So this is gonna be their dinner a little early. All right, who's next? All right you chunky look at she is so chubby she's come on get your head in there she is you guys yeah she blows up she actually doesn't look so so bad but she is a chunk she's gonna have a lot of babies maybe i told dad already that when lola gives birth this year she's the first one everybody comes down and everybody's got a towel just in case because last year we were overwhelmed they just kept coming all right so this is the last of the big goats second last of the big goats eat mama i call her mama just in case she's gonna be a mama call everyone but yeah i like to look at them so her tail is kind of funky looking like what is wrong with that it's not actually a fish tail well i don't know i like to look at them she's really soft really shiny really short camera died it's gonna die again and we did all the girls i'm so proud of us oh one hour it took us one hour sophie says it was a long hour
