We're going to start with the middle of our paracord.
Move this aside. We're going to put the middle right underneath our stick.
Remembering the left side over the top of the stick.
And then the right cord is going to go over the left cord.
Then it's going to go underneath the left cord and they get pulled through.
And we're going to tighten and secure it to this walking stick.
Take the left cord, place it over the top of the walking stick.
Take the right cord, place it over the left.
Now this time we're going to go underneath the walking stick.
And then pull it through this left loop.
First one, now tighten the one we just made.
I like making my wraps really tight.
That sort of needs to happen for our walking stick.
If we wanted to make sure that we get some friction built up,
it'll stick to the actual walking stick.
So now take the left cord. We're going to keep repeating this pattern.
Take the left cord over the top.
Right cord over the left cord.
Pass it underneath and through.
A few passes we should be eventually seeing our spiraled pattern emerging.
I do suggest rotating the stick as you make this.
Rotate it a little bit.
Take the left cord over the top.
Right cord over the left.
Underneath and through.
Now we're going to push some of this up a little bit to adjust it.
Take the left cord over the top.
Right cord over the left.
Underneath and through.
Keep continuing the pattern.
If you see any gaps, make sure you push up the paracord.
Now to finish the wrap, we're going to go about an eighth of an inch out to cut.
Leaving a little bit of paracord so we can melt the paracord to the actual wrap to help secure it.
I like doing one at a time so that way the other one doesn't loosen up.
Here I'm melting the paracord.
I'm using a metal object to help secure it.
You can see it melts and then it attaches.
Do the same thing with this one.
About an eighth of an inch.
More for this one.
Take the cut.
I'm going to melt.
I'm going to further secure this to the wrap.
The wrap to the stick.
Take a wet sponge.
Dab some of the paracord.
The paracord, once you get it a little bit of wet, should shrink.
As it shrinks, they add more friction.
That friction will then secure it to the blocking stick.
There you go.
