Shoutout and Thank You! to Roger Smith for this gift and request for a sweet song performed in front of a rare sighting!
Don is a life coach, and this is what happens when a life coach and philosopher does reactions to traditional country music. Enjoy!

I hope you're doing well folks. I got a film we're in for a treat today. This is Rocking the Country.
I'm Don. Well, welcome to the channel of course. That's just proper. And I'm doing a gift request
today. Brad Paisley's Try A Little Kindness. And it's rare when somebody requests Brad
on the channel. But Brad has some really good, really good songs. But the reason I say that
if you're new to the channel is I do predominantly like traditional or just non-pop country. But
Brad's got some killer songs. So Roger Smith made a donation or a gift to the channel. So thank you
Roger first of all for the gift. I'm still just humbled and delighted and shocked and in wonder
when someone makes a gift even though a lot of people are doing it. It never gets old. It's just
it's humbling. So but this song you said Roger is a tribute to Glen Campbell. I don't think I
know this song. I know a lot of Brad's stuff but I don't think I know this. Try A Little Kindness.
That is a title I can totally get behind too. All right here we go. Ladies and gentlemen.
Oh I have the video. Very cool.
Wow. I don't know what this event is but it really warmed my heart to see you know President Clinton
and President Bush sitting next to each other and kind of laughing about stuff. I wish those
images would be put out there in public instead of people like ripping each other the images of
people ripping each other apart. This is beautiful. Doesn't even look like Brad's nervous.
Oh and George Jr. That was uh well I guess this must have been a fundraiser or something.
But I I wasn't expecting to see that you know. But just the message in the song.
How composed Brad was. I mean there were three sitting presidents at least that they showed
in here and Brad's just going out there doing his thing. And I know that he's a consummate performer.
He's performing in front of all these different people uh in the worldwide. But it is different
when you're performing in front of U.S. presidents. And yet some of the performers just went out there
and did it. Tipped his hat to them too. Maybe he was directing that at Barbara Bush. But that was
beautiful. Um all right I'm gonna rate the song Roger. That was a really good find too. And you
know I wouldn't categorize that as traditional. But I'd say this absolutely has a home on the
channel. Because in the message I love Brad. Brad just he I his music I love him his personality
his public persona anyway. Just spot on. So as a song and as I experience this whole thing
I'm gonna come in with an 8.7. And and that is sort of like separating the song from the whole
thing. But this was just a beautiful thing to behold. I just so much want to see much greater
peace. People don't have to agree on ideas whether it's political or religion or social whatever.
But you can respect someone else and say you know maybe sometime I'll adopt that opinion.
10 years down the road I might be thinking the way you are now. So I'm not gonna trash you now.
I'm not gonna agree with you. But it doesn't mean the instant reaction has to be to be a jerk.
But this song and that's in lockstep with try a little kindness. Don't be narrow-minded as the song
said. People living in their narrow worlds and all that. That ain't fun. That's just not fun.
I mean having a more expansive mind and being curious. The curiosity really is the cure to a lot
of uh ills that we may experience. Just be curious about other things. Keep learning and all that. So
Roger I don't know if that's what you wanted me to get out of this song. But obviously I said it.
That's what I got out of it. So thank you very much for that. This is a song of hope. It really
was. And Brad's the perfect guy to uh to sing that. So there you go folks. You can leave your comments
for Roger. He uh made this possible. And uh leave it for me for anyone just generally however you
want to play it. Have a great day. I'll see you on another video. Keep rocking the country.
