AMAZING Madras Curry Comparison! WOW

How's everyone doing out there? I hope you're all spot on. Now, we're going to do a comparison, a chicken madras comparison. I've been to Lidl and I've been to Morrison's. Come and have a look where I go. Took a drive to Lidl last week and got this. I thought, ooh, I'd better review it because it's getting towards its use-by date. Chicken madras with pilau rice. Cooked chargrilled chicken breast pieces in a spicy onion, coconut and tomato sauce. Served with pilau rice. That is from Lidl. I was in Morrison's having a little look around I've got something to review which is new that's coming, but I've seen this chicken madras with pilau rice marinated chicken breast pieces in a spicy tomato sauce with ginger, green chillies and curry leaves so I'll tell you the price, there is a difference there is, the Lidl came in at £2.79 and the Morrison's came in at £3.75 so a difference of 96 pence if my maths are correct so yeah 96 pence worth of comparison so let's have a look so i've noticed they're both 400 grams so they're exactly the same um in weight so let's have a look at the Lidl one first so we've got three chili rating three chili rating and we've got some i'll do a side by side there you can have a look at the um nutritional contents so the top one is the Lidl there they are so we've got 19.7 grams of fat versus 14.5 more fat in the Lidl saturates we've got more saturates in the Lidl sugars we've got more sugars in the morrisons and salt in the Lidl, so let's have a look at them that's what you get, this one is the Lidl and that one there is the Morrisons one, yeah the sauce is covering the chicken, you can you can see the chicken quite quite clear on that one, on the Lidl one, yeah so let's um we'll put them there like that, we'll have a look at the around the back so let's have a look at the little one first UK, we've got to use a UK stamp, have we got a UK stamp on on there, i can't see it on the the Morrisons one, it's got produced for Morrisons from Thai chicken, that's probably why we haven't got a UK stamp, yeah, um Mumtaz Foods from Lidl and that's Bradford, so we've got chargrilled marinated chicken in spicy madras sauce served with pilau rice, now that's the Lidl one, what have we got on this one here, cooked marinated chicken breast pieces in a tomato and coconut sauce spiced with ginger green chili curry leaves served with pilau rice, there's the ingredients allergens are in bold and get side by side you can have a look yourself as well if you want to pause it you can zoom in as well so let's uh let's get them placed several times let's get them pinged in the microwave so they're both going in the microwave, we're gonna do one at a time, can't even get my words out so we'll put that in there, uh what i do find quite bizarre is one is six minutes, this one the Lidl the Morrisons is five minutes for 800 watts we'll figure that out i'll get it going and i'll bring you back when we halfway through we've got stirring what i failed to say now before i'm gonna say now they both use thai chicken this is the little one produced in the uk using thai chicken and just so i'll say this is morrison's from thai chicken why can't we use british chicken come on right let's um let's do the uh seal peel test oh look at that's worked perfect hasn't it and let's give it a give it a bit of stir so these are not frozen these are fresh so this is the little there's the big bits of that smelling oh that's smelling good that is smelling good look at them big bits of chicken yeah right i'll put that to one side that i did that i'll give it a shake and it goes in for another three minutes so it's done so i'll show you seal peel test absolutely perfect i'll give it another stir the other one's in oh it's absolutely red hot piping hot wow yeah some leaves in there as well look a bit of green bit of green look all goes down the hatch right this is a morrison's one halfway oh yeah equally both passed the seal peel test they both smell really good you do yeah there's the chicken it probably looks exactly the same sort of chicken how many bits do you get I'll count them in a minute and a bit of shake right get this back in the microwave so I'm going to get the little on this plate we'll see what we've got and get this one out just have to watch the old turmeric goes on the old worktop there it's dead hard to get out isn't it no turmeric yeah right that's there so let's get this rice on here how many bits of chicken then one two three four five six six seven and that's all so yeah you get seven bits of chicken with the Lidl so this is the Morrisons and let's get this off oh yeah oh it's past uh the same and we'll count the chicken this is the Morrisons this is a 96 pence more than the Lidl one both thai chicken it's cost isn't it smelling good so let's have a look i think we got seven didn't we from the little and one two three we did get some big bits with a little four five five five a bigger bits and the sauce and we got something like i think we got four big ones and three little bits with the Lidl so this is the Morrisons yeah so let's take this to the table and we'll try it with the other one all i need now is a few pints of cobra so i'll try this one first a little because it's been out longer than it would be at the right temperature so I'm gonna get stuck into that big bit of chicken there, well it's a bit big that isn't it, I'll leave that. We're getting with some, we're getting with a bit of everything. I hope we're not on the wonk there, it looks like we're on the wonk there, the camera. Oh that is lovely, oh that is lovely, them spices are lovely. I'm going in again, that chicken was fine, it doesn't even taste like microwave chicken, slippery chicken. You know he's his own so, that's lovely. Which one's that Lidl? Yeah them spices are really good. Tell you what, I'll get a photograph for the old thumbnail, I forgot to get one. Right let's try some of the rice. Yeah the rice is fine, that is quite tasty that. I've got a drink of water, that little one is good. Right let's try, try the Morrison's, it's 96 pence more. So I'll get in with that bit of chicken there. Yeah I would say the chicken you've got, yeah it's a little bit bigger but we've got less, less chicken. Going with a bit of rice as well, it's pretty much the same that's tasty as well let's go in again let's see what that's like let's try the rice yeah the rice is nice soft i'll tell you i've made my mind up which i like best giving more heat spices are more coming through a lot more and that is that is for me all different just my opinion remember i prefer the little one yeah i do it's tasty it is i just the spices and giving it a little bit more heat it's a little bit hotter than the morrison's one then let's just going in again the morrison's one's good it's tasty but i prefer the little saying that i'm mixed up now the taste they both taste good but i prefer the little for taste and it's cheaper yeah um obviously if you want to do them in the oven you can do them in the oven if you want and you've got all the bits and bobs that go in there usually use your big oven throw everything else in there, onion bhajis, naan breads, obviously you need a pickle tray don't you, yeah all the rest of it, let me know what you think in the comments, I'll be interested to find out, yeah I thought we'd do a comparison, I hope you like the video, it's just something different, like when I was in Morrison's I did get something else to review which is new, but I thought I better review this little one because it's going out date, right, take care, thanks for watching, if you've got any recommendations send them my way on my YouTube page, on my community, you can send us pictures not there but you have to be subscribed in him but do thank you so I'm gonna mark I'm gonna give this little and a good 8 out of 10 I'm gonna give Morrison's a 7 and a half out of 10 so take care all the best and I'll get back to you on the next one
