I would do anything with Jade. She's amazing. I'm such a fan. I've been a fan of her for a while.
Also because Little Mix. So massive and like soundtrack to my childhood.
Really? You're a mixer?
Hell yeah. I mean, oh my god, so good.
Really excited to say that I am joined right now by Adela.
Adela is here. Lovely to meet you. Welcome.
So good to meet you. Thank you for having me.
Of course, we know and love you, Adela, from your massive tune 8 in LA,
which I've been playing loads on the show. It sounds like this.
I love it so much.
Hey, thank you so much.
And it's getting so much love every time I play it on the show.
It must be so exciting to see how this song has grown and it's just become this
absolute monster of a tune.
Yeah, I mean, that's what you hope for. I love it. It's amazing.
That's the dream, right?
Yeah, for my song, especially because this song is about like uplifting people everywhere.
It's like a unifying pop song. What more could you ask for? It's so sweet.
Yeah, absolutely. And we need more of that at the moment.
I think we need more things that are going to bring us together than push us apart.
I would think so. I would say so. Yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
You've had an amazing few years. I've been loving watching your journey.
Your second ever single, Superstar, that was back in 2024.
That was your first like big tune. I love that song so much.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
But not only that, you're nearly going to be a part of Cat's Eye
after being part of that reality TV show. That was another part of your journey.
That was before everything, but I didn't make it in. So I make my own music.
I mean, sometimes things happen for a reason.
It is what it is. I'm happy and they're happy and we're all friends.
Exactly. It's beautiful.
When you look back on your journey, is it like a dream? Is it like,
oh my God, is this actually happening to me right now?
No, I actually always wanted this to happen. So I'm like, that's right.
Like, I know that that's right. Like, this should be happening right now.
I feel very lucky, of course, but I'm also like...
Give me more. This is just the beginning. I love that.
Hey, some other massive artists, huge fans of yours as well,
including Jade, who we love. Oh, I love Jade.
She said this recently.
I'm loving Slater at the minute. I think Adela.
I feel like we could do something really fab together.
She wants to do something with you.
I would do anything with Jade. She's amazing. I'm such a fan.
I've been a fan of her for a while. Also, because Little Mix,
so massive and like soundtrack to my childhood.
Really? You're a mixer.
Hell yeah. I mean, oh my God, so good. Like, I'm such a fan.
And also Angel of Your Dreams or is it Angel of My Dreams?
That's it. I had to sing it.
I was like, OK, no, I love that song a lot.
I remember when it came out and I was like, whoa, Jade solo.
Unbelievable.
You guys would work so well together. That needs to happen.
You need to get in the studio. That collab needs to be a thing.
If she would have me, I'm down. I love it.
Well, I think she's up for it as well. Sounds like she loves you.
We got to get talking. We got to get talking.
She's ready. Your first album came out just over a year ago
and your second album, Prima, is out after midnight tonight.
So you're just excited to get it out there now.
You're ready to share it with the world.
Absolutely. It's like throwing up.
Like, I just want it to come out.
Like, you know, when you're like, you drank a little too much
and you're like, I need to get this out.
And you always feel so much better afterwards.
Exactly.
It's the biggest relief.
No hangover the next day.
Like, awesome. Not that I do that a lot.
But you know the feeling. That's exactly what I'm feeling right now.
I just can't wait for it to come out. It's amazing.
You've been so busy, Adela.
You've done a massive show in London.
What is it like to perform that tune, Ain't in LA?
What's it like in the room? How does it go down?
People get really excited.
And it's always, I preface it with this like little intro
and I talk about what it is and where I'm from, which is Slovakia.
And so people know that it's coming.
And they're all just like immediately as I start,
as I mentioned Slovakia, they understand what's happening.
And they're like, oh my God, yes.
Like, we love this one.
So it's really cute.
Oh, what a great feeling that must be.
Yeah, it's the best.
Everybody sings it to me at the end of the last chorus.
I just like stick out my mic and they sing it back.
It's so sweet. It's such a cute moment.
I love singing it because it means so much to me
and it means so much to them too.
So it's beautiful.
I wanted to ask, you've got some childhood photos that are going viral
because your hair is blonde, Adela, in the photos.
But now your pink hair has become such a staple.
It's iconic.
Oh yeah, that's a thing.
Have you heard of the hair theory?
I have heard of the hair theory.
What are your thoughts on it?
Well, let me just address something.
I am a natural pink.
Yeah, you dyed it, you bleached it blonde as a child.
No, I had to dye it as a child.
Yeah.
Because it would be weird.
And I would get bullied.
And I already have freakishly large lips.
So it's like pick a struggle.
And I chose the lips because you couldn't cut away.
Fair enough.
So...
Hey, say no more.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm with you.
That's it.
So that's that.
And hair theory, I will even.
I think it's interesting when you become so recognizable
that it could be a Halloween costume.
I feel like that's when you've really made it.
Yeah.
As an artist, when people are dressing up as you for Halloween.
It's like, okay.
You see a ponytail, you think Ariana Grande.
There's a certain look.
You see the cone bra, you think Madonna.
The meat dress, you think Lady Gaga.
Yeah, exactly.
Everybody got their look.
Everybody got something going on.
There's a lot of people with pink wigs at my shows, which is awesome.
I was gonna ask about this.
What is it like looking out into the crowd and just seeing a sea of pink wigs?
That must be pretty cool.
It's really funny because their wigs are like on and nice
when you first start the show.
And then they just get so sweaty.
And then they just like rip the wig off mid song
because they're like dripping under it.
They ever throw them on stage?
No, that hasn't happened yet.
Good.
But I'm sure they will now that you've said it.
Sorry, I didn't mean to.
Don't throw anything at Adela.
Let's not throw things at performers, okay?
Just want to make that very clear.
As your tune's called Ain't in LA, Adela,
I've got some British iconic snacks that you will not find in LA
that I was wondering if you'd share with me.
Get your thoughts on them.
Just a little nibble.
Just get some reviews.
You up for that?
I'm so up for it.
I'm so hungry, actually.
And we'll start with Monster Munch.
Monster Munch.
What are your thoughts and feelings?
Well, first, Munch is a crazy name.
Monster Munch.
Wow.
And you'll see it's in the shape of a...
Oh, it's in a little like paw.
Yeah, it's like a monster's foot or something.
Wow, okay.
This is pickled onion flavor.
They're very crunchy.
Oh, I'm getting some nice sort of ASMR sounds here.
Thoughts?
Weird.
Weird in a good way or weird in a bad way?
I mean, you've gone for another big bite there.
You're really munching on that Monster Munch.
I like it.
Okay, out of five?
You can taste the pickle.
I would say three.
Strange aftertaste.
Would you munch again?
I would munch again.
Would munch again.
Three out of five would munch again.
There's your review.
Okay, next up, Adela.
We have got Jaffa Cakes.
Wait, I've had these.
Oh, you've had them.
Wait, but not in a really long time.
No, you're not into the Jaffa Cake?
No.
Why not?
Wait, I hate it.
Why?
What don't you like?
I forgot that I hate these.
Oh, no.
Is it the texture?
Is it the taste?
It's the orange.
Yeah, very key to the Jaffa Cake, yeah.
Okay, let's bring in something else quick.
This is a chocolate digestive biscuit.
Love it digestive.
I'm gonna be honest.
Have you ever had one with chocolate on though?
No, and I'm obsessed.
Yeah?
Obsessed.
Into it?
Into it.
Five out of five.
That's the winner so far.
Let's race through some of these.
We've got some Percy Pigs here for you, Adela.
These are pink, like your hair.
Yeah, I like her.
She's safe.
Okay.
She's safe.
I would give her like a four.
I feel like you want more from her.
I would like more, but I'm not gonna judge her for being subtle about it.
Okay, four out of five.
God, I'd be happy with a four.
Better than a Monster Munch.
Let's do one more.
I've just got one final one for you, Adela, and this is...
Well, I'll be interested to get your thoughts.
This is a bourbon biscuit.
Like the alcohol?
No, it's nothing to do with alcohol, sadly.
Yeah, it's just chocolate.
It's a chocolate biscuit.
Good with a cup of tea.
A bit dry.
I find them dry.
I'm not a massive fan.
Again, they're fine.
They're inoffensive.
They're not offensive.
And with tea, you dip it, make it a little moist.
Yeah, I think it probably needs that.
Sorry for dropping the word moist.
That's fine.
It's needed.
So the winner is the Milk Chocolate Digestive.
Absolutely.
That's the five out of five.
She's amazing. She's everything to me.
I like her.
There we go.
Adela, thank you so much for being on the show tonight.
This has been so much fun.
Your brand new album, Prima, is out at midnight tonight.
Loving Ain't NLA.
Can't wait to have you back again soon.
I'll make sure I get the digestives in.
Give it up for Adela on the Capital Evening Show.
Thank you.
