9.5 Casual Summer Outfits

What's up my guy, I hope you're good. I'm so happy to say it's finally my favourite time of year so I'm going to style some summer outfits. I like to keep things very simple and keep things comfortable especially in the summer, comfort is key. These outfits don't require much thought so I can just whack them on, head outside and enjoy the weather. Anyway that's enough blabbering let's get into the outfits. So for this first look I'm wearing a white boxy tee, a pair of light wash denim and some white canvas sneakers and if you live in a country where it's too hot to wear denim don't worry I've got some shorts coming up so yeah I got you. Now this look is so simple but the cut of the pieces makes it a little bit more interesting in my opinion. So instead of wearing a regular fit tee I've gone for a boxy tee to add more shape to the look. The jeans are a pair of Levi's that I've hacked off at the bottom, I've cut them to give them a shorter length but you could wear a more relaxed fit if you prefer. On feet I've finished the look off with a pair of white Vans Authentic Anaheim DX44, bit of a mouthful but yeah they're basically the this sort of upgrade to the regular Vans Authentic. I love a pair of white Vans in the summer I think they go with everything and you can dress them up and wear them casually so they're a great option to have and if darker colours are more your thing then you could swap out the pieces for well darker pieces instead. I love a black fit even in the summer but let's change into something a little bit cooler. Okay so let's get the pins out now let's let them breathe. I love wearing shorts and I'll wear them whenever I can as they're just so comfortable. This pair are a pair of six inch linen shorts from Abercrombie and I love the Personally I like a shorter short so anything between five and seven inches is just right for me and if you like the look of these then I'll link them in the description box along with everything else from this video. But linen is such a good material to go for in the summer as it keeps you nice and cool but a t-shirt and shorts is what I wear most days in the summer to be honest so if you've got a few pairs of decent shorts some nice fitting tees you're good to go. And on feet I've got the damn Daniel those white Vans again and a pair of white crew socks. As this looks so simple the white crew socks add a bit more detail to the outfit in my opinion and I think they work really well with the shoes. And for a similar look but something a little bit more spicy then you could swap out the tee for a vest and a short sleeve shirt. The vest and short sleeve shirt combo is an absolute must in the summer in my opinion of course as you can create layers without causing yourself to overheat and as the tank top and camp collar shirt are such lightweight pieces they let the body breathe and the two together can actually be cooler than a t-shirt. And here I've tucked in the vest to keep things a little bit neater but this is still a very casual look and I'll be wearing it a lot. And in the evening I could swap out the shorts for a pair of dark colour jeans or trousers and I'm good to go. As I said I love wearing shorts and I'll do anything to keep them on in the summer so even when it gets a bit colder I'll just whack on something warm up top. I actually posted this look on my Instagram recently and I had so many people saying that I can't wear a knit with shorts. Why not? I'm doing it right here and I love the look How I do things is if I'm too hot in something I don't wear it. If I'm not and I like the look then I wear it. It's as simple as that. I think people seem to follow too many made-up rules when it comes to fashion and sometimes you get something a little bit more interesting by going against the norm. Anyway this knit isn't thick and it has got holes in it to let the breeze in. You can actually feel the breeze coming in a lot through this piece so even though it looks overkill it's actually not. Sport shorts are another one of my favourite things to wear in the and I think they look good. This pair are definitely more colourful than I'd usually go for but in the summer when layering is hard to do a pop of colour somewhere in your outfit can be nice and with the shorts I'm wearing the same boxy white t-shirt I had on with the first fit and yeah it gives the outfit more shape but I'd wear this outfit for casual days out and I'd also wear it to the gym so it's a really versatile outfit. For the next look I'm wearing a pair of smart tapered trousers, a tank top and a denim jacket. Now I've got to be honest the taper on the trousers is a little bit too extreme for my liking but I haven't found the perfect pair of black trousers yet so I'm still on the hunt and for a pop of colour I've gone for a pair of green adidas here although you could wear something more neutral if you liked but the jacket I'm wearing has got some green tones in it so I thought they went well together. Now this denim jacket is one of my favourite pieces so I'll wear it whenever I can even in the summer. It's from Our Legacy and the fit, the colour and feel of it is absolutely beautiful and it fits me perfectly. Now the only thing with this jacket is a lot of people think I've got blood on it or spaghetti bolognese on it but it's part of the design. At least if I do spill some spag bol down it it won't matter but would I prefer it without that detail? Maybe but I love the jacket so much that I don't really care and if you get a little bit hot then you could whip off the jacket and just wear the tank top on its own. Now wearing a tank top on its own it's not really a look that I go for a lot but I know some people like it. For the next outfit I've got that beautiful knit back out again and I've paired it with some light wash jeans. To be honest you could mix and match most of these outfits together and they probably work. That's the beauty about having a wardrobe made up of simple pieces. Anyway I'd probably wear this outfit out for a casual summer evening maybe to a beer garden or some really casual food somewhere. Even though the pieces are really casual I think it gives off a fairly smart look and it looks like you made a bit of an effort. Another casual evening out combo would be any kind of shirt and I've kept things very relaxed here and gone for a flannel. It's got a relaxed and boxy cut which is what I like to go for with my shirts and it keeps you cool as your body has room to breathe.
