Welcome back to my channel, The Crafty Quinn. Today I'm sharing five new Easter 2026 DIYs
that combine classic spring colors with distressed finishes and cozy farmhouse details.
So for most of these projects I'm using Dollar Tree items, but I also mixed in a few things I
found on sale at Hobby Lobby and some really cute finds from Target dollar bins. So everything is
still very budget friendly, easy to recreate, and perfect for refreshing your home for Easter
without spending a ton. All right, we're diving into DIY number one here. So this is a carrot
garland that I found at Dollar Tree and then this sign is also from Dollar Tree. I'm so glad they
brought these back this year. So I'm not seeing them as much as I would like in my stores, so I
don't know if they officially brought it back or it's just from last year, but I was lucky to score
one of these signs because I love making things with them. So this is a carrot garland and what's
great is that you can shift these carrots all around and they're not glued on the jute twine so
they're easily movable for whatever you want to recreate. So I thought let's wrap this garland
around and see if I can come up with a cool design for this. So I just kind of went ahead and moved
all of the carrots closer to the top because I needed them a couple inches apart from each other,
but I still needed plenty of space to wrap these in a zigzag pattern as well.
So there's six carrots on this and when I first grabbed this I thought these were the six
individual carrots, but they were not. So it's really easy to make that mistake because it looks
like the exact same packaging. So adjust as you see fit, but I have spaces in between so I can
add some letters. Next I grabbed these Dollar Tree letters and I placed them down where I wanted just
so I could have spacing awareness for when I glue down these carrots. This was super helpful to this
process and these word letters are definitely hard to come by now at Dollar Tree. It's so rare to see
them. So I went ahead and linked some similar letters in my storefront on Amazon and I have
them linked below in this video for easy reference. So that way you don't have to go hunt them down
individually at Dollar Tree stores. So we're going to be using Waverly Plaster Paint for these
letters here. I didn't want to go with like stark white even though it kind of looks like it in the
video. It's not, I promise you. It's got a little bit of an ivory tone to it so I love using this
neutral color a lot because it's not quite so bright. It's a good balance. So I painted all of
the letters and then while I waited for them to dry I flipped the sign over and I took this, I don't
know what you want to call it, like it's not buffalo check. It's kind of I guess gingham but it's like a
neutral version, like a lighter color. The buffalo check with the darker colors was very, very in a
few years ago when I first started crafting and now I feel like it's kind of shifted where you
still like that plaid but you like it in lighter colors. I haven't seen a lot of folks use that dark
buffalo check. So I kind of took it and I put the the ribbon on a bit of an angle for this just to
make it fit over the bunny properly because it doesn't quite fit perfectly but I left a lot of
slack on this ribbon to make sure I had a lot of area to glue down. And so when I first flipped it
over I'm like, oh no it's diagonal, but I actually ended up really liking it so it was fine. So we're
going to distress this. One of my favorite things to do with some Waverly Antique Wax and I use a
I have those linked down below in the description of this video for you.
I got a whole pack off of Amazon and it was just way easier but they're in all different sizes.
It's wonderful. So I glued down each individual letter and then I glued down this jute bow and
that's it. This is a super easy sign and I wouldn't necessarily put this outdoors unless you're somehow
able to spray paint this or something like that but I think it's adorable to hang indoors so I
have it over my pantry. DIY number two. I was so glad I found this wire Easter egg form again
this year. This one was kind of bent out of shape but it still works. So I found this over in the
floral garden section but I wonder if they have these over in the Easter section as well.
I saw the Easter bunny ears one of this. I did grab one of those for a separate project.
But anyway this ribbon I got this at Michael's and you might be able to find something similar
online but I loved the thickness of this. This is two and a half inches thick. It was perfect
for what I'm trying to do here. I love to just take ribbon and wrap it around a wreath form from
Dollar Tree. I think it can still look so beautiful that way and so I just took some hot glue and I
attached the ribbon. So this is my starting place. I love to put the ribbon starting place down at
the bottom for this kind of thing because I put a lot of embellishments right there on the bottom
and so you can kind of hide the area where you're starting from if it looks a little bit messy.
It's the perfect spot. So this I would say this took the longest so I'm just kind of skipping
past a lot of it because I don't want you guys have to watch the whole process but even you can
just keep wrapping even when you get to the top. So I have them kind of spaced out like an inch
apart from each other so I thought you know that way it still looks pretty thick and you can't see
through it because this ribbon is a little bit transparent. So I thought if I just keep wrapping
it then the thickness will you know it won't look as weird. You won't be able to see. I didn't want
the wire to show through so this actually ended up working out really well. So I did have to adjust
it because it looks all like bunchy and things like that so I just kept adjusting the ribbon
until all of those weird bumps were gone but they do go away. I promise you this is not the final
result as you can tell and I already fixed it. So I just cut it at the bottom there, left a lot
of extra ribbon there, plenty of space for for being able to hot glue it down. I'm using Gorilla
glue glue sticks for all of my projects. It has a nice hold and I can link that for you as well
but I normally just grab it at Hobby Lobby. So I grabbed this Easter sign from Dollar Tree. I love
this. You can use the bunny and the other pieces for so many other projects. I typically grab one
of these every Easter because it's so versatile and then I just kind of thought it would look
nice in the very middle of this because the colors were very similar. Kind of neutral but also very
rustic and farmhouse. So I'm just gluing down all of the edges that lay on top of the ribbon and
this is very very easy to attach. I just did the tail and the legs and then the face of the bunny
and then that was it and it stayed in place. So next I took a separate pack of carrots. Obviously
these are not the garland ones. They did come out with just the regular six pack of individual yarn
carrots at Dollar Tree this year and I thought, you know what, I'm going to put down the carrots first
and that way I can use those as reference for my happy spring sign. So the the white happy spring
wooden words there, I think I got that from Joann's Fabrics before they closed unfortunately.
So let me see if I can find one and I can link to it on Amazon here as well. It's getting harder
and harder to find good items at craft stores and they keep closing down. So it's unfortunate but I
end up looking on Amazon a lot or Hobby Lobby now. I think Hobby Lobby probably has something
similar to this. So I just used my hot glue and just glued everything down. You could maybe put
two more carrots on this if you want but I'm just doing four carrots and I thought everything was
better spaced out that way but this is a super easy sign and you're already done.
And then you can make a little jute hook on the back. I did do that because it was easier
to hang it up for the photo for this craft. So this is the end result and I love the little metal
piece on the ear. Another reason why I love this bunny. DIY number three. So these are pieces I got
from Target. This is some of the things I mentioned I got from the dollar bins. This was three dollars
through three carats and I mean it's kind of better priced than a dollar tree right now because
dollar tree is like $1.25, $1.50 per carat so this ended up being a better deal and they're only
slightly smaller. So this, I got this cute little, I don't know what it's supposed to be, I feel like
it looks like a farm stand, flower shop stand, whatever you want to call it, but it's blank
and it's a natural oak color so I thought let's paint the trellis of this. I did use just regular
waverly white chalk paint for this. I love using those. They're quick to dry. That's my main go-to.
I just thought it needed a small pop of color and I have another idea of how I'm going to use this
for other spring crafts but more to come. So I took an egg carton for this because I do want to
make it like a true farm stand and have some eggs. So just grab any of these from your fridge,
whatever kind you want, but I definitely thought this was better than the foam for this kind of
project for the rustic look. And then I took these dollar tree eggs. I got a huge, I think 12 or 24
pack of eggs and I couldn't find the speckled ones, unfortunately, but I know they have them
but I needed the right size so I just grabbed these plastic ones and I'm using some white
waverly chalk paint. The only downside to this is it does take quite a few layers of paint
to coat these eggs completely so I had to keep coming back, wait for it to dry, do another layer,
and I think I did three or four. So the time is not worth it. I would rather just pay a little
bit more for eggs that are already done. So I'm going to be on the lookout for those if dollar
tree does have them but here I am again doing the final layer of paint. I was not kidding.
So I'm taking my chippy brush and I'm just trying to do speckles on this and what you don't see off
camera is me speckling my wall because I forgot to set up some kind of tarp or something because
when I was doing this it went everywhere. I was just flicking the end of the brush and it
coated my wall so I had to wipe that down afterwards. So just make sure you move everything
out of the way. Don't wear white clothes. All of that. So I've put the finished eggs in there and
then this is some moss from Dollar Tree. It's the like really stiff annoying kind. I wish I could
could have found their traditional Spanish moss but I haven't been able to find it lately
and hopefully they are still selling it. These are some flowers from Dollar Tree. These faux
lavender flowers. I love these. They still have great flower picks. I will say that.
So I cut three pieces off of this and then I was taking this little planter cup. This is also from
Dollar Tree. You get a whole pack of it for $1.50 or $1.25. I'm not even sure what the
real prices are there anymore but it was perfect for this craft. So this is reindeer moss. I think
I've just had this on hand for a while now and haven't had a chance to use it but I like to use
this for my spring crafts but I love the reindeer moss. I was testing it out and it's it's got a
very like dewy feel to it so it's kind of perfect and then it holds the little flowers in place
nicely so it's perfect and then I just filled it up to the top and this is done. So then I put the
eggs back. I put everything. I put the carrots in there at the bottom and then I took this farmhouse
sticker. Dollar Tree came out with these stickers a couple years ago and I've just been holding on
to them for the perfect occasion and it was a shame they didn't have a farm stand one. I would
have loved that but I just thought farmhouse looks like Ray Dunn. I love the lettering on this.
So this is a quick and easy craft and you can reuse this box for so many other things.
DIY number four. So this is the other Easter sign that they have out right now. I grab this almost
every year but I only grab it if I actually have an idea for it so I figured you know what let's
try and do a cracked egg look to this. I was trying to do this craft years ago but I could
never figure out how to cut these wooden ornaments from Dollar Tree so I thought you know what let's
let's just try it see how it works. Miter shears did not work. An exacto knife did not work. Maybe
maybe the ones I have are just not strong enough so I did have to get my husband's help to help me
cut down these the cracked eggs which I will show you in the next clip. So once I use that
finished one as my tracer then I got my husband to go in with his Dremel tool and just cut each
one individually and what's interesting about this is this tool does burn the wood so besides
it being very loud it's a little smelly because it does burn but it works perfectly for this craft
and the noise honestly freaked me out so I was like please do this.
So thank you Clint for the assist and once they are all cut and ready to go I'm just taking a
little bit more of that plaster paint. I think I use plaster for this either way plaster white
both works. So this color is called Summer Porch it is the uh what is it it's the plaid
it's the folk art paint from plaid and it I'm pretty sure it is and like a chalk paint it has
a chalk paint texture but I'm not sure I don't think it's acrylic because it dries very very
quick but we are going to be taking more of our antique wax from Waverly and we are just going to
distress this chick. This is one of my favorite things to do I love distressing so I love getting
back to that and doing some traditional farmhouse crafts. So the chick I didn't paint the whole body
of the chick I mean it was just a time saver and why would you need to because this little
cracked egg is going to go on top so just distress that as well catching the edges of each
and there you go. I love the distressed look and it gives a nice outline to the cracked egg.
So now we are just going to glue the chick the chick and the egg together
and finally this craft is almost done. So the Summer Porch paint I hadn't touched it in a while
because it's normally a summer paint so when I first poured it out into the little paint tray
there um it looks like an egg yolk because it was that um what's the word you know it was um yeah
so once I got through all of that then the real paint color was underneath and I showed up the
bottle and but I love this color I love use this using this for like lemon crafts and other summer
crafts but it's the perfect color for this kind of thing and it's and like a it's not a bright
yellow. So this Happy Easter these words I got these from Hobby Lobby while everything was 40%
off. I love to grab things at Hobby Lobby while they're doing the 40% off sale I never like to
buy anything full price there and when you oftentimes when you get the 40% off it ends up
being some some of these items some of these little items could end up being cheaper than
Dollar Tree right now because the prices are so absurd now. So this is Dollar Tree ribbon I love
how I'm using all of these old things for my stash. I love this ribbon I wanted to do something
you know kind of out there I just love the I don't know chevron pattern of this
and then I did take another piece of burlap which was another Dollar Tree piece I think I think
maybe they came out with this for the fall a couple years ago but it just seems like why did
you know why are they not having great pieces like this anymore? So I did put all this together
and I'm cinching the back now with some jute twine and I'm just trying to pull it as tight
I'm pulling it so tight that it feels like I'm breaking it and my knuckles feel like they're
turning white here but you gotta just cinch it as hard as you can and then I did like triple knot
this because I wanted to make sure after I cut off the little string that it was not going to
come apart. So then I'm just fluffing out the bow the legs of the bow here love how it turned out
and then this just needs a little bit of glue at the top and this craft is basically done I just
added the jute string back at the top and now it's a hanging sign again. I love this I love
making this craft I did another version of this a few years ago so I'm going to link to my previous
video where I did another uh option for this craft. DIY number five last but not least. So for this
craft this is a Dollar Tree sign and for this I have to cut off the little fluffy tail because
we are going to be painting this sign in a brand new color and I guess it's a little bit of a
neutral farmhouse color if you will but this is I want to say this is the uh not hazel but it's like
a like a toe oh it's called fawn from Waverly so this is another chalk paint I love this color
because I've also used it for gingerbread crafts and I feel like it does work but it it's a little
bit dark and you'll see once it starts drying this does come out much darker so for this I'm
literally just tracing the outline of the bunny I just want to swap out the pink for this fun color
so once everything is painted and you have filled in the lines then I mean if you went over the line
which I definitely did you're going to be wanting to do this step just take a little bit of plaster
paint or just white paint and take a small angled brush and the parts where you went over the line
just go over that and just trace over it and then there you go you finish your you've uh covered up
your mistakes on this so this is another one of those happy Easter signs from Hobby Lobby
I swear I got a pack of like six of these for two bucks I mean not bad so I did use I think I
used plaster for this one as well yeah yeah I definitely used the Waverly plaster chalk paint
for this one and then I just glued a little cotton tail back on to the bunny and now we're just going
to glue down these words as well I grabbed a whole bunch of beads originally I was just going to do
larger wood beads for this and I found a pack of multi kinds of sizes of wooden beads off of
Amazon so I have that linked below as well in the descriptions video so I ended up using larger
size beads at first but then I decided to make a carrot bead so first we're going to make a
little tassel here with some jute twine so I just wrapped it a bunch of times around my fingers and
then once it has a loop there I did just tie it at the top and then that string that I tied it
together with will be the main base for our tassel there so there is another piece of string kind of
hanging off the edge and then I thought okay let's just use that and just kind of wrap it
at the top and that's what holds everything together so that's how it gets the wrapped look
at the top right above the tassel part and then you just glue that down and that holds everything
together definitely use finger protectors when you can I'm not very good about that my hands I mean I
wouldn't be surprised if I have no fingerprints left as so then you're just going to cut the loops
at the bottom this was a little bit long so I definitely wanted to cut it shorter
but the tassel is actually going to be the top of our wooden bead carrot so definitely grab some of
these um what do you call them sticks from uh I guess wooden dowels or whatever you want to call
them but um so I grabbed a pack of these from Dollar Tree and so I put the fatter ones at the
top and then the smaller ones I just kind of went like large medium small and then extra small so I
think I have about four sizes of beads on this carrot and luckily they all fit on the skewer
that's the word I'm looking for skewer
so I'm just going to glue the top of this so that the beads don't move
and once everything is held in place then I'm holding it from the top there so everything
does not slide down and I'm taking some Waverly pumpkin chalk paint I love this
it's great for not only fall pumpkins but also for Easter carrots
so I just tried to coat it completely it's definitely difficult when they all move around
like that so I kind of hold my finger at the bottom and I have that hot glue holding them
in place at the top and that holds them and keeps them from moving so it makes it a little bit easier
to coat everything I've tried so many different methods with coating these beads I tried the
plastic bag method and then it comes out very just the paint comes out kind of chunky
on top of it so I don't like doing that so skewers it is so once everything's dry you just place it
back on the string there and it doesn't matter how terrible the string looks at the bottom because
we are not keeping that so I did make a little I guess hay bow if you will I grabbed one of those
Hawaiian skirts from Dollar Tree every summer they come out with those I make sure to grab them
because they become my raffia so I love making little bows with it and so I just kind of doubled
it up a bunch of times and then cinched it in the middle with one of the ends and there you go you
glue it together and you have a tiny little bow so we are just tying a knot here at the end of
this carrot I did end up knotting it about three times so I decided let's just put this over the
whole of the sign this is not going to be this type of hanging sign so I just decided you know
let's just cover it up and then I glued the other end of this carrot I just really wanted it to hang
off the side I couldn't find the best placement for it I tried it a bunch of times but I think
this actually ended up working the best so now we're just going to glue down our small raffia bow
and that's all there is to it this is the finished result I hope you guys love today's crafts I
