Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well.

Today's video is going to be how to style a hair scarf.
So basically I have a couple of these scarves which you can pick up in various high street
shops and they are basically like multi-use scarves.
So you can tie them around your handbag, you can put them as like a top.
I've worn them as sarongs before, like tied over a bikini.
There's various different ways you can wear them.
So after my recent trip to Turkey, I had a lot of messages about how I tie scarves in
my hair to get different looks and I thought I would do a quick easy YouTube video to share
with you the three ways that I personally tie these around my head for different effects.
So we've got like a bandana style, we've got like just a headband style, and also kind
of more of a scrunchie vibe.
So the scarf I'm going to be using today is actually this one which is from Zara and this
is actually a really new one in my collection and it's quite a big one.
So I thought it would be the perfect tester.
It's also really neutral and I just really liked it so I thought this would be the test
dummy one.
So first up we're going to go for the kind of scrunchie tie which is one that's super
simple to do and it takes literally two seconds.
You can actually use a hair tie in this as well but I personally don't.
So what I do is I basically put my scarf into a kind of triangle and then kind of just grab
it so it looks a little bit like this.
Obviously you can pull these little tags off if you want to, I normally do cut them out.
And then basically you just want to pop it under your hair and then loosely tie it over
the top.
So really super simple and then you kind of just leave it like this and then pull out
a few front sections.
So like I said, super super simple, really really no fuss for this one.
It's just like a really easy kind of loose style and like I said you can put a hair tie
underneath just to secure your hair because it does slip down sometimes but I kind of
find it to work really well and I like that it's kind of like that loose like floaty look.
Looks really easy, very effortless as well because you can literally just tie it in and
go.
You don't have to worry about it.
And then it does sometimes look quite cute as well if you kind of bring it forward to
the front and just have like the little tie over your shoulder as another little thing.
Then style number two, which is actually the one that I do probably the second most and
then we'll get on to the last one, is the kind of headband style.
So I'm going to again put it into a little triangle like so and then I basically just
fold it until I have almost like a strip of fabric and it looks like this and then all
you want to do is bring your hair forward and kind of make sure your front bits are
roughly where you'd want them to be and then you're just going to go ahead and pop this
around and then double knot at the back.
Don't do it too tight just because if you do it too tight it's a little bit annoying
and it also gets a bit much but that's basically the second one.
So you just kind of pull these little bits of hair out and then it's kind of like a nice
little tie bit at the back as well but it also is really good for if you are out and
about during the day and stuff and you want your hair to be down and curled but you don't
want it to be like in the way because sometimes I find it can definitely be that your hair
gets kind of like in the way of, I mean it just goes everywhere doesn't it?
So this is one that I tend to wear quite a lot when I'm travelling just because it
keeps my hair out of my face and it's also like a different kind of vibe to an outfit
and then number three is actually one that I've only recently started doing but I really
love it.
So if you've seen the kind of 90s trends that are all over the place at the moment you will
know that bandanas used to be a big trend so this one's kind of more of a bandana style
and basically you just grab the fabric in half like so and then what I do is I bring
it on my forehead like this, grab these two side bits and then again just tie them really
simply around the back making sure to keep the end like tucked under and tie it like
so so you catch like the little bottom bit but then also tie it so it gives you like
the little bandana effect and it's also again really good for keeping your hair in check
but I also really love this one, this has become like my new favourite because I just
like the way it looks and I also like the fact that it kind of like protects the top
of your hair so great if you are going on for example the jeeps or you're on the beach
and you've got like messy hair or wet hair or something it's just a really cute little
look and I love it but I really hope you enjoyed this video guys, I hope you enjoyed seeing
three really quick simple easy ways to style a scarf around your head, if you want me to
do another video that talks through like ten ways to generally style them so like on a
bag, on your jeans, a top, hat etc then let me know and I'd be more than happy to do another
one but this is basically, I've been loving hair scarves for so long and I always tie
them around my hair and I thought it was about time I made a quick little video about how
I do it so I hope you like this video guys and I'll see you in my next one, bye!
