2027 NFL Mock Draft with TRADES | Cardinals go CRAZY?!
Oct 4, 2026
Today we begin our three round 2027 NFL mock draft with trades. Let's jump right
into this just like the NFL draft. It is day one, round one. Tomorrow is day two,
rounds two and three. Let's get into this. Blow my face with my board. It is based on all 22
opinions exclusively. If you want to see the full draft board, every single eval I've done
and winners and losers from every single week, feel free to go to the Patreon. Five bucks a month.
I want to keep it reasonable over there, but try to put out there a lot of good stuff for you guys
to have quick reference. Big community. God bless you guys. Love you guys. Number one. Overall,
we are using a whole entire different draft board and, you know, organization that I'm used to.
So yeah, mock draft database. They had the actual order based off of wins and losses right now.
So I wanted to be able to take advantage of having that while it's still a little fluky and a little
bit fun. But number one, overall, the Houston Texans sit here and I think they got to pull
the trigger on a generational talent. I don't think you can trade out at this point if you
have that good of a defense. I think that you're just in a spot where you got to make the most of
it. The teams that are near the top right now are not really in striking range for QB territory
except for the Titans. And so I'm not really going to get that specific bump. And, you know,
Jordan Seaton would be kind of cool for the scene, but I'm going to go Jeremiah Smith,
wide receiver out of the Ohio State University. He has climbed to finally up to number one on
my board. I have seen the light, always thought of him as a generational athlete. I thought he
needed to polish a bit more to be able to play against players of a similar physical and speed
skill set. Not many of them exist, but I do see the refinement start to show way more this year
than it did last year and the year before. So got to give credit where credit's due.
Number two, Tampa Bay. They're sitting on the board here and, you know, this is a spot where
you could try to trade out. The problem is the top of this class has gotten a little bit wonky.
Arch Manning hasn't necessarily been the type of talent you're looking for in terms of being a
number one or number two overall pick. Colin Simmons, he's a good edge rusher. I think he's
a good fit for this team, but I don't really think he has shown the actual NFL translate ability to
be a number two game-changing edge one. I think he's been an elite college edge one,
and I think in the NFL he'd be a really high-end edge two to a low-end edge one,
which is still a huge compliment. But at number two overall, I would want to go after someone a
little bit more different, a little more unique. To me, Colin Simmons is very well-balanced,
but at number two, I want someone who is different. That leads me to Leonard Moore,
cornerback out of Notre Dame. He is the one who I think is deserving of this spot. If you're not
going to target offensive line and you don't have Jeremiah Smith on the board, you go after
the best player available. So we're going to be going to Leonard Moore, cornerback out of Notre
Dame there at number two. The Bears spoiled my pick of the week, and I owe it to y'all,
and I'm out for revenge at the same time. The New York Jets are coming to town, and I think
they are prime set for an upset. They've been extremely competitive, and the Bears I don't
think are going to be consistent week to week. If we check it out over on CallSheet, the Jets only
have a 38% chance to win the game according to the current peer-to-peer markets. If you end up
putting $25 down, which if you end up using the code HMS when signing up, or make it easy, click
that link in the description, you'll end up getting not only the $25 back added to your account
instantly, but I talked to my guys over on CallSheet, they boosted the offer up to $55 added
to your account instantly for making a $25 trade. So worst case scenario, if the Jets end up losing
this, you'll still end up netting $30 positive. It takes out all the risk and provides even some
extra incentive. But on top of that, if the Jets pull this off, you'll end up getting $63.05 and
$55. Math's boring, but that's almost $110 just for signing up and making this $25 trade, which
again, at the very minimum, you're getting $30 positive. So, I think this is a great opportunity.
CallSheet is peer-to-peer marketing. It is not going to end up being based on a sportsbook like
a traditional sports house. So, I think this is going to be something that will fluctuate and
rebound because people are very, very high on the bears after they beat the Eagles. I don't think
that's actually the opinion. When everything settles and people realize that, what comes up
also ends up coming down. So make sure to take advantage of this return before people change
their minds. Use the code HMS when signing up to make sure you get your $55 back when trading $25.
Damn, let the people see a little bit of the history in the NFL mock draft database. There's
the price to move up. You have to justify it. So, I just don't really think that, you know,
any of the players currently do justify that type of move up. Number three, we got the Titans here,
and offensive line is king. You know, people want to dog on Jordan Seaton. He was my number two
player before I moved Jeremiah Smith up. He's now my number three just by default, but he is
near generational level tackle for me. I'm very particular on my tackles. I think everybody in
human history missed on Evan Neal, but that was before I was a graded in exclusively all 22.
I want to make sure everything is like equal. I don't know if that would have stopped me from
loving someone of that talent, but that's a whole entire that's a crazy failed project. In my
opinion, it is sad the story of Evan Neal, but I haven't had a tackle graded on this tier in a
long time. If ever, I think Jordan Seaton has the experience that you were looking for,
but on top of that, he has the patience. He has the polish that you're looking for,
and the Titans could be looking at another QB, but if you stick a pretty mid to semi high tier QB
behind a garbage line, they're going to perform like a mid to low tier QB. You stick a bad QB
behind a good offensive line, they'll be elevated to a different level of QB. So I think that there's
just a there's an untapped advantage that people just don't give enough credit for with having a
good offensive line. And so Jordan Seaton is going to be the selection there. We are not doing any
trades in the top three. Again, those are super expensive, so it kind of makes sense. The charger
sitting here at number four, could we do a big trade? Could we send Justin Herbert to Minnesota?
Maybe. I think I might want to wait till next week before I pull the trigger on that though.
I'm going to hold off for a minute, but it is something I think could absolutely be on the
table. But if you are looking at the options here for the chargers, we wanted them to get
quality defensive interior play. I love Will Echols. He is a top 10 player on my board. I am
not taking that at number four overall. I hate to say it. I don't think Will Echols is balanced
enough to provide the return on investment that a number four overall pick suggests you should get.
So I don't really know where I would pull the trigger for the chargers. Colin Simmons, I guess
if he just doesn't do another dick whipping celebration, he could be in this conversation.
But like Cam Coleman needs to drop back down to 200 flat. It's pretty embarrassing. These
teams and these organizations don't understand that certain players just operate better when
they have less weight on their frame. Marvin Harrison Jr., Cam Coleman. It's the same story
where you see these guys who are big, tall, thinner route runners that have some good deep speed.
They end up adding more and more weight, trying to become polished wide receiver ones,
and they end up becoming less effective. So I don't really like that at all for Cam Coleman.
So this is the first time I'm very willing to make a move. And with the Miami Dolphins sitting
there at number five and Arch Manning sitting here at number two, this is where I feel comfortable
as the Jets trying to get in front of my in-division rival. So we are going to do a trade.
The Los Angeles Chargers are going to end up trading with the New York Jets, and it's a small
range trade, right? If we're actually looking at the value, a third round pick technically is more
than enough to get it into this range. However, if I'm the Chargers, I probably want to be able to
look at maybe recomping some things. So you could talk about trying to move up from your third round
pick into the second, just because this is a quarterback, right? This is a massive investment.
But I will say for the Chargers, you look at their distribution of picks.
It's pretty nice. I mean, I can't lie. It does look really nice to see that split.
And for the Jets, I honestly don't mind the idea of kind of switching some things around.
Let's get exciting here. The Chargers, like you want the QB, that's our price. We're going to end
up making you pay a little bit for it. So we're going to have the second round pick as well as
number six, move up to number four and get 66 in return. What do you mean they rejected the offer?
Kiss my ass. The ****? OK, well, that's the funny thing with having the Chargers do this trade.
You know what? They asked for it again. We're going to end up tossing in maybe a fifth round
pick just to make the deal sweeter. I'm going to make it happen. OK, I was trying to be a
little finesse there. Didn't happen. I can't believe they got all pissy over a frickin 20
point or 10 point differential. But regardless, the Chargers end up netting a third out of it.
What do you do? I tried to be smart. Didn't work. But the Chargers or the Jets move up and select
as their future quarterback with the top tier prospects now taken off the board. I don't think
there's a ton of upside for the Jets to sit and wait. If you end up seeing the Dolphins end up
taking Arch Manning and let's just say the Chargers end up taking Will Eccles, which I don't think
they should. But if you end up in that situation, you're at a spot. Maybe they end up taking Colin
Simmons and then Arch Manning goes. You're at a situation where now you're going after your next
best QB and Arch Manning does provide a high tier arm, not in elite arm, but a high tier.
He makes some really solid throws. But on top of that, he has a great athletic foundation,
good frame, good mobility and good ability to extend plays. You have a great offensive line
in the making there. You have two young franchise tackles. You have a great balanced receiving core.
This is a team that, you know, Gino's wheeling and dealing as it is. Just drop Arch Manning
into the equation and then you're kind of cooking with Crisco and Breeze Hall there as well, as long
as he stays healthy. So I just don't really think that the return on investment of a third round
pick would be worth it compared to, you know, getting the quarterback of your choice and
stopping the Miami Dolphins from going Arch Manning as well is an added bonus. But Dolphins
sitting here at number five, I am debating going after a QB at this point. However, I don't believe
that this team is built to drop a QB in. There's so many issues you need to solve that I don't
really feel like you're going to get the best out of a QB at this point. So we are looking at the
best options available. Trading out would be nice. I just don't really think anybody is of the caliber
to trade up for. Damn, Dallas is up at number seven. That's crazy. If I'm not mistaken, is not
isn't Dallas's highest pick supposed to go to them, to the Jets? Like, am I tripping here?
Apparently, oh, is that the Packers pick this all the way up here? No ----. Damn, that's crazy.
Anyways, I digress. But the Dolphins sitting here, I just don't really see a player that is
going to garner that like that level of attention. So we're going to end up having to take Colin
Simmons here, edge rusher out of Texas. I want to keep things fresh and new at the same time,
right? So Colin Simmons goes there. He is still a top 15 player for me in the class at number 12.
I think he's a very high floor, very reliable edge rusher. And that's kind of what the Dolphins
should be looking for. Build stability before you end up getting too sexy with it. And I think
Colin Simmons provides that floor to a team that desperately needs something to establish said
floor before a QB or anything like that. Number six for the Chargers, they traded back, they got
that third round pick. I tried to be cute. I tried to be finesse. It didn't work. We have three third
round picks, so we're going to have to do some with it. But we're getting closer to the range
where I feel comfortable with Will Eccles because he has a powerful defensive interior. Now, another
spot I would look is the edge position. If Dylan Stewart was not an absolute menace, I would have
sat at number four and taken Colin Simmons, you know, like I would have ended up feeling a little
bit more comfortable with that. If I wanted to go the edge route, that's the way I would have looked.
But instead, I do want to look potentially at the receiving room. I do think everybody hates
Cam Coleman. Why is that a fad? Like everybody just wants a dog, Cam Coleman. I'll be able to
see him next week in person. I will be at the Cotton Bowl, not the Cotton Bowl. I'm tripping
balls in the Cobble. Whoever the Red River rivalry. All right. I might be in all that wrong. I'm
it's late, but I digress. I'm going to be at Texas, Oklahoma. We're going to see how that showdown
goes. I'm excited to see it, to say the least. But if the charges are sitting here, I don't think
that there's going to be a team that's garnering enough juice to move up to this point. At pick
number 35, I am a little bit worried about defensive interior. I'm not worried about wide
receiver, which is another spot that I'd go. Not worried about edge rusher. That's another spot
that I'd be looking. So, you know, if we're going to go for best bang for a buck, Will Eccles was
too high at number four. We got a third round pick. It makes me feel comfortable here. He has
climbed up and then pretty much the only very productive defensive interior that is above 300
pounds to actually work this year. And so it is of a rare company. And Will Eccles is a very,
very good defensive interior, even though Ole Miss ended up getting their ass kind of handed to him
by Florida. That run blocking scheme is kind of hard for anybody to do well. I'm excited to see
that get implemented more and more to the NFL as well. I think there's a lot of untapped business
there for the Cowboys sitting here at number seven. There's three players that I think instantly stand
out. Ellis Robinson corner out of Georgia. You pair him up with Joey Porter Jr. You have two
guys for the long haul, but at the same time, you just traded for Joey Porter Jr. Don't really need
to look at it as much. Trevor Goosby, right tackle. No one wants to talk about it, but it's
definitely something you need to look at. And then third, you can end up looking at Jayden Bach,
right back on the floor. You know, it's basically Javante Williams, but exciting, electric and
longer term. But I do think that when you have the ability to get someone who could play right
tackle, who started his career out at right tackle, who's already loved by people in Texas,
you go with that route. Trevor Goosby, right tackle out of Texas goes to the Dallas Cowboys.
At number eight, we have the Jets. And again, this is so weird. This is a whole entire new
draft order for me. I always go in like reverse Subaru odds or my own custom draft order.
It's exciting to be able to do this. I'm pulling the trigger on Ellis Robinson,
the fourth cornerback out of Georgia. He's lengthy pause. He's a gritty, aggressive corner
that has more weight to put on his frame, but he plays aggressive to the point where he acts like
he's one 90, even though he's one 80, this is a player that is a true boundary corner.
So you still have the ability to flex these nickel hybrid corners to the spots where they
work the best. In my opinion, you're building for success. You're talking about two legit
high tier impact players there with Ellis Robinson, going to the Jets at number eight
and number nine, we have the new Orleans saints. I mean, honestly, they could go after Dylan Stewart
here and I wouldn't bat an eye, but I'm going to try to see like the NFL does have a stance
when it comes to players who are questionable, at least in terms of their mentality. Granted,
we did see David Bailey go at number two last year after the debacle that he ended up having
after the Arizona state game, assaulting a cameraman, all that stuff. Very intrigued to
see how that ends up panning out. I haven't seen any like settlements or anything from it,
but anyways, I think the saints are in a very peculiar spot, peculiar,
how the **** am I supposed to say that word? Peculiar, peculiar. **** it. They're in a very
weird spot. All right. My mouth is dry, man. I didn't, I'm dehydrated as ****. I can't say words
that are difficult like that, but, um, they're in a very unique spot where Dylan Stewart is by far
the best option, but you do have some high tier quarterbacks here. You do have some high tier
weapons here as well. And I'm looking, the commanders might be looking at a wide receiver
for the boundary for the long haul, but they have their own issues they could be trying to address,
especially in the corner realm. And honestly, if I'm the saints, I'm not too sure. I'm not going
after Ashton Hampton myself. You look at the strengths and weaknesses of Kool-Aid McKinstry,
Ashton Hampton kind of mirrors those strengths and weaknesses a little bit as a strong,
heavy boundary corner. And my concern is if you don't go on, uh, go with him here,
you end up seeing Washington at a 10. They're going to try to lock it in. You're going to see
Atlanta. Not really somebody you got to worry about, but new England. I mean, they have Gonzo
that's hyper expensive outside of that. And their secondary long-term, they don't really
have high tier corner too. So this is the range where I think Ashton Hampton is perfectly valid
to go after. We're going to go Ashton Hampton corner out of Clemson there at number nine and
get somebody who can pair perfectly with Kool-Aid McKinstry. Do I think it's desperate need?
Absolutely not. I like Quincy Riley. I love the secondary pieces. Um, also T.J. Hall loved him
out of Iowa last year. Granted, I don't think T.J. Hall mimics the strengths and weaknesses
profile that I would look at with the other corners on your roster kind of is like a polar bear in
Arlington. Man, today is not my day, but you know, it just kind of feels like he's out of place. Even
though he is great in his own right. I don't think he fits. I prefer for Austin, New Orleans to trade
him to Dallas. My, my take. I think that he'd work a lot better into a Fangio system then,
um, into a Staley system, but Ashton Hampton and a Staley system, strong, heavy corner,
corner two, corner one, whatever you want to say. This is a very, very highly sought out type of
prospect. Great frame showing a huge leap. As soon as he ends up becoming the corner one there,
it's a good thing to see. Number 10 for the commanders. Intriguing spot here because part
of me wants to go Jaden Ball. He's of the next elite echelon of backs. And in my opinion,
this is a team that probably will want to continue to take attention away from Jaden Daniels.
Especially with his injury history. I don't think that Kelly Jones has gotten into this territory.
And sadly, I think we are tapped out on the top tier of the quarterback position. So we are
looking at other routes here and Dylan Stewart. You could kind of put them on a maturation program.
You have Caleb on chase on there and he's not going to be the long-term answer. So if you pair
up Dylan Stewart and Adolfo away, this is a respectable fall. This is someone that should
be a top five pick and similar to Jalen Carter, who essentially almost killed somebody. This is
essentially on a much different level. And again, you can debate about the Jalen Carter
stuff, but regardless, people were concerned. There's a reason he dropped. There were concerns
there. Could be the same thing with Dylan Stewart. He only got a one game suspension.
So kind of intriguing to see. It's like, hey, he's out indefinitely. And everyone's like,
and all of a sudden, oh, he's back. So I'm going to say that he ends up going to Washington here.
They're going to take advantage of a player who is falling and he's going to be the long-term
answer there as their true edge. One Atlanta at number 11. If they do end up at number 11,
it's a big F because sometimes like you guys do have some moments where you're looking high,
like highly explosive. You're going to go after like, you're going to go QB. That's just the
truth. So you end up looking at the options here. If you want to compete and compete early,
you go Trinidad Chambliss. If you want to take the shot on, in my opinion, the best quarterback
available, you go Darian Mensah. If you want to go after a player that you hope to get back to
where he was, you go Dante Moore. All three of these quarterbacks, in my opinion, can actually
fit pretty well into the system. Drew Mastermaker, I'm having return. And you know what? If you guys
say enough in the comment section, I could possibly do a 2028 draft based off of this.
Just going to throw that out there. It's up to you guys if you want it. I have contemplated the
idea, whether it's this week or next week, because there are so many good players that I want to
discuss. But regardless, Chambliss, Mensah, both of them are within a three spot gap of each other.
You guys can only see up to number 18. But if I scroll down a little bit, you'll see at number 18,
number 21 is Mensah and Chambliss, respectively. I think if you are sitting here at number 11,
there are conversations that need to be had. However, I do still love Melvin Ciani.
For me, I think that he would be a bigger help with your offensive line issues. You know,
he's also going to be the right tackle, which is very important to protect Michael Penix.
You can use him on both sides of the offensive line, if I'm being completely honest. So I'm
going to go and do my special, which is drafting Melvin Ciani there at number 11. I would worry
about the Patriots if their offensive line situation doesn't prove to be very fruitful
going after a right tackle. And I 100% am worried about Arizona going right tackle if they're
sitting there at 14. Melvin Ciani would be gone by number 14 regardless. So if you guys want to
say it's a reach, feel free to do so. Melvin is my number 19 player in the class. I think it's
valid to have him there. Number 12 for the Jets. The quarterbacks did fall. That does happen now.
But you end up looking at the other options available. God, Jaden Ball is still here too.
That just killed me. Like, Jaden Ball will be going higher than this. I should have taken him
at 10 and had Dylan Stewart fall. Like, honestly, I probably should have done that. But it is what
it is. Man, you can't even, oh, you can do the undo button. Very interesting. I was like,
man, ----. I'm not going to do that. All right? Because Dylan Stewart is of a different breed.
But if the Jets are sitting here at number 12, I would be entertaining the idea of moving down.
The question is, who have we moved down for? So the Cardinals are probably going to be looking
at offensive line or quarterback. Pretty straightforward, right? But we took all the
offensive line, so they're going to be going to QB. The Browns, they could be looking at a QB.
God only knows. The Sean Watson apparently is back. I still think you should target a QB.
Personally, it is what it is. Steelers could possibly do it, but I think that's better not to.
I think that we're in the situation where the quarterback is not the player to move up for.
So wide receiver probably next is. New England could be right on par with going after someone
like Charlie Becker. And if I'm the Jets, that's something that gives me a reason to move down with
a team that wants a wide receiver like Charlie Becker or Cam Coleman. You end up looking at
Arizona, don't really see it. Cleveland don't see it. Pittsburgh could be, but I don't think
they're going to trade up to go after a wide receiver there. We have our other issues to handle.
So again, wide receiver doesn't feel like a position that we're going to see a lot of movement
on. There's not a team here that, in my opinion, is going to be assisted by going after that type
of weapon. Now, running back, I do think Jayden Baugh could be people are going to get mad for
trading up for Jayden Baugh, but that's just the truth. That's how it goes. He is on a different
level. So looking at the options here, I honestly don't mind Cincinnati looking at a potential move
up here. I can see the Pittsburgh Steelers absolutely targeting him like Carolina.
It's not a bad idea. Jacksonville as well. Like we're getting to the point, but I could be going
a little crazy here. I'm going to do it. Let's have fun. Like, why the **** not? We're going
to the New York Jet Street with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens, they have their own respective
issues. All right. They do. But in my opinion, this team has always thrived through the ground
game. And if you want to keep Derrick Henry healthy, you keep them healthy. This is a 400
spot gap, which technically is worth a second round pick. I don't think that's going to be
the case. I think we're going to end up applying future draft capital for this. And this is going
to end up being a masterclass in its own right for this reason. But we traded away our third
round pick. We're going to get our third round pick in return. And given how this is all structured,
I prefer to kind of just like flip maybe a fifth round pick to kind of balance out the value here
and end up asking for maybe a sixth and return. We can end up leaving it like that. But a one,
a three and a future two, you can end up making a future three. I think this calculation is a
little bullshit, but we're going to have the Baltimore Ravens end up making they move up to
number 12, where I'm going to have them go Jaden Ball. I think he could be the best running back
in the NFL outside of Bijan Robinson. Jameer gives a completely different back. So maybe
it might be RB3 in the NFL that he could be better than probably Ashton Gentee. Jeremiah Love,
I think it's in that, you know, I'm pretty sure that he's going to be in that category. So he's
going to be a top ten overall player, could be a top three overall pick, depending on who returns
and who comes out. Jaden Ball, the selection there. New England Patriots sitting at number 13.
I think that with the Jets taking that good of a deal, they're willing to let Charlie Becker
fall to the Patriots. The Patriots need a lot of stuff. But honestly, based on how the A.J. Brown
situation is looking, you need someone who's going to be young, reliable and there for the
long haul. Charlie Becker provides deep capabilities, deep speed capabilities, along
with the fact that he has great body control, great at the contested catch, going to be somebody
who is going to be invaluable to someone who has a big arm like Drake May 14 for Arizona.
Cam Coleman's there. That's very exciting. But we're going to go after a QB here. And I know
people get their feathers ruffled with Trinidad Chambliss. We're going to go after Darian Mensa,
quarterback out of Miami. We'll see how the offensive line shapes up. But I do think that,
you know, they would have to target a QB by pick forty five. I think there's too much variability
going on. You need to look at. Well, to be fair, I have a strategy. We're not going to be going
QB here. This is a dangerous strategy. We're go Samson Okun Lola tackle out of Miami. Just stay
with me. We're going to we're going to work some magic here because with the frame he has,
I think Mensa could fall to the late one. And my strategy is solve the tackle problem by getting
the tackle that Mensa has currently moved Paris Johnson back to right tackle or Samson to right
tackle whoever works better and then end up getting your quarterback there. We're going to
see if this works. Could be masterclass, could be an absolute ---- show. Stay tuned. But number 15
for the Cleveland Browns, I do think quarterback is a smart move for this team based on where
they're at. But you do look at the edge rushers. There's some guys in here that you could respect
and there's not something I would be too worried about. Corner absolutely is on the board. But I
just don't know. Kelly Jones is worth the top 15 pick at the moment. Ashton Hampton's here.
I'm going to do it, but I just don't really think that's the need. Safety is not something I'm going
to prioritize. People bring up linebacker. I think Chris Cole's an absolute superstar,
but I'm not really seeing a lot that I'd really go crazy for. Granted, Cam Coleman still here.
But to me, it is kind of QB range. And if you're going to go after a QB, which I've already said,
Drew Mestermaker going to be going back to school on this, then I'm looking at Darian Menza and
Trinidad Chambliss and CJ Carr. And I want to go after the one that has the highest floor and the
one that has the most mobility because Todd Munkin works well with mobility. To me, that's going to
be Trinidad Chambliss quarterback out of Ole Miss. He's going to be a day one starter, can elevate
the offense. And you already see what happens when Deshaun Watson elevates the offense on his own.
This is going to be a player who I think I trust much more consistently at a much cheaper rate.
The Steelers. We need a lot. We do need a lot. And pardon me once to go after Cam Coleman at
this point. We do have a ton of weapons, though, like we do. I don't think quarterbacks going to
be a position that's going to be a net positive for us. Trade Mason Rudolph at the deadline,
end up having our two young guys end up dishing it out to see who ends up working on the interior
of the offensive line. I absolutely respect the idea of Greg Johnson. Fix the interior.
We need help. Offensive line definitely is a priority. However, I just don't really think
that that outweighs the type of talents that are available elsewhere. Our defense looked crap. It
got sliced and diced. And honestly, defensive interior wise, I don't see anybody who's going
to be great at this moment. Like Amari hasn't taken a step. Justin Scott hasn't taken a step.
Ahmad Bowden hasn't taken a step like we're talking about guys who are stagnant or regressing.
Devin Tompkins is awesome, but he's two hundred ninety five pounds. Not really somebody who's
going to be a down by down threat as like somebody that you want to like place in a
pretty aggressive spot. There's also a lot of other players I think could fit that role.
So you look at the edge core. I don't think that anybody's worth trying to play some gymnastics
monetarily with that. So we look at the corner room. Kelly Jones, probably the guy who'd want
to target. However, safety wise, we're talking about Kingston Lopa, Tate Johnson, K.J. Bolden,
all three I think are superstars. My only problem is K.J. Bolden. I kind of want him in the Jalen
Ramsey role where he can play a little nickel, play a little safety like he's a little too
versatile. We already have that role filled. Kingston Lopa is a different beast, but I need
someone who's strong against a run. If I were to go and delete all those options, it would be down
to Tate Johnson for safety. However, I can end up going after a Bray Hubbard, Jelani McDonald in the
next round. I feel a lot more comfortable with that. So that ends up leading me to a player who
I think is legendary. Someone who is a generational tier prospect, and that's Chris Cole, linebacker
out of Georgia. I don't like using that tier, that term too much. I don't think he's a generational
player, but I think he's on the generational linebacker trajectory. He started out this year
as a blue chip player for me. He's only gotten better. He's the top 10 player on my board. I
think he's an absolute superstar. Can play off the edge as well. Plays a lot, kind of like a Herbig
would, but he's someone who is an absolute game changer at the linebacker position. 17 for the
Cincinnati Bengals. You look at all the weapons available right now with a Cam Coleman here,
it's very tempting to pull the trigger on him. With Philadelphia sitting at 18, I might honestly
make a move back if I'm Cincy. But granted, Cincy's been pretty stable by just staying put
and addressing their needs as it comes. I would be open to a Caden Green playing the left tackle
spot. I think he plays very similarly to Orlando Brown. And, you know, if I'm going to do that,
I'm going to move back. You do have Cam Coleman here. I think maybe a team might want to get
aggressive at this point. We saw the Jets move back from pick number 12, I believe. And so far,
the Jets have gone after corner. They might be a team where I'd almost move back up and select
Cam Coleman here. That might be a masterclass level move. Granted, Seattle, Seattle kind of
trying to pull that, try to see who else could end up being ballsy here. The Vegas Raiders could
get a little ballsy, even though I don't think they're going to sit there for too long, going
to keep them where they are. Jacksonville could end up trying to make a trade with Brian Thomas
would be an intriguing one. But ultimately, I think the Bengals are going to stick and pick.
They're going to just not play any funny games here. They're going to go after KJ Bolden defensive
back out of Georgia. Flexible piece can play anywhere. That's just someone that you keep on
your team for a very, very long time. Eagle sitting here at number 18 defensive back a big
issue. In my opinion, wide receiver for the long haul could be as well. We'll see how Wicks does
against the ramps. This could be a spot where how he ends up making some trade magic as well.
I think it's almost too good to pass on because safety wise, if you do miss it in this round,
excuse me, sorry for that pick 49. I still would see Jalen McClain being probably available.
Ty Benefield being available. I feel very comfortable with the safety value at that point.
But of course, you do need to address the interior offensive line. So the question is,
who would you address down the board? I think I pick 49. That could be the case as well.
There's too many needs to fill too little spots to fill it. And I'm just going to go best value
here. I'm going to go cam Coleman wide receiver out of Texas. Simply put, it's the best player
available. That's hardly been a bad strategy. You have Wicks Coleman as well as lemon there
for the long haul. It's just one of the spots where it's too good to pass up. Otherwise I'd
be going after more of a position of need. Panthers sitting here at number 19. Honestly,
this is where Kelly Jones becomes a high priority because of the fact that like horn is just a
little, a little too unreliable. So we're going to end up going after Kelly Jones,
cornerback out of Mississippi state there at number 19. He's six foot to 200 plus pounds.
I think he's going to be an elite threat. Number 20 Jacksonville is on the board. And honestly,
you look at the players available. There's nothing that really blows me out of the water,
but there's still some very good players. Nonetheless, I don't think that defensive
lines have bad strategy. I just don't really trust the guys who are here. I'd prefer to go
after someone who's like flexible on the offensive line. And one that I was considering a little bit
earlier. And when I want to put up a little bit more in mock drafts, it's Kate and green tackle
out of Missouri. He has that guard tackle versatility. He's a very experienced player
as well. I don't know why people don't like him, but I do. So he's someone who's sitting there
right outside of my top 40, but this is a range where you look at the team and you look at the
trajectory, you look at the needs and how soon they'll want somebody. And Katie green just
doesn't provide a ceiling, but he provides a damn good floor. All right. Number 21 for the jets,
Arch Manning, Ellis Robinson, we ended up getting some extra draft capital back as well. Very happy
about that. We could end up looking for the wide receiver here. There's still some very good ones,
but personally, I think we could start looking at some of the edge talent. Safety wise, though,
you do have Tate Johnson and Kingston Lopa. I don't think that can be ignored.
Kingston Lopa is an absolute free show, but I might, I'm going to go for a little bit more
stability here with Tate Johnson and every down heavy defender who can play the box and be able
to rocket even in split and single high. I think he has the ability to play pretty much everything.
He's a stunt 22 for the bears, defensive line edge, a hundred percent positions to target
corner is as well. Unfortunately, I've kind of siphoned off all the good talent there.
Otherwise that'd be the position that I'd probably go. So I would end up looking at
other positions here. Edge definitely is a spot. I don't like when people go tackle for this team.
I don't think that that's a good strategy. I think edge is the spot where you're going to see the
most talent granted. I look at the players and they just don't, the ones that fit Dennis Allen's
They're not top 25 players in the class. That's why I don't like it. And the problem is defensive
interior wise. You're not really seeing a ton except for Devin Tompkins that are really fitting
a profile like that either. But Devin Tompkins is a monster. He is in my number 35 player on my board.
I'm going to target him here. He's six foot five, 300 pounds, 290 to 300. And he has an amazing
bull rush can play off the edge can play in the interior. It doesn't really matter where you play
him. It just will depend. If you want him to be a pure edge, he needs to shrink down to 280. If you
want him to be a defensive interior, keep him where he's at. He has a good enough run anchor.
He's strong. He's dangerous. Just needs to kind of figure out which position he wants to go.
Seahawks sitting here at number 23. This one's going to be a quick and easy poll for me. There's
a lot of very good options for Seattle. Don't get me wrong. But Greg Johnson provides the same
mobility profile that I really liked that fits your system so well. And he has the flexibility
to play center to play guard, in my opinion, to play tackle. That's somebody who I think will
be invaluable on this offensive line. Number 24 for the Denver Broncos. This is a quick and easy
one as well. Jamar Johnson's a stud. He fits that Joker profile. It's just not many teams,
are going to be targeting a tight end above a lot of other things. Number 25 for Detroit.
They need corner and defensive back like nobody's business. We're going to give them at least
defensive back. Five interceptions early on. Incredible. Kingston Lopa, defensive back at a
cow. He's 6'5", 2'10". Someone who I have a lot of love for and honestly, somebody that I think
could end up being a top five safety in the NFL if he ends up hitting his ceiling. Number 26 for
the Giants. Defensive line, Omari Washington comes to mind here. High ceiling, very talented,
just hasn't hit said ceiling because I think the team is just more stagnated. I could also trade
back. There's a lot of good defensive interiors at this point, but I don't want to play games.
I don't like the corner talent here. Wide receiver could trade back and try to play that game. I
don't think offensive tackle is a good need. So we're going to go interest Omari Washington to
be an explosive, large defensive interior for this team to try to get back some sexy dexy into
the lineup. Browns sitting here at number 27. They went Trinidad Chambliss in the first and
they don't have another pick until pick 59. This is a spot where I could see the Cardinals try to
get a little sexy with, try to get up here and draft Darien Menza, but I don't really see a team
except for Minnesota that would be on the market for that. So I'm going to hold off in terms of
up here. I do like the idea of an edge at this point. We were now multiple spots removed from
the bears to where you look at somebody like will help. And again, this is a bigger edge profile.
Isaiah McGuire looks really good on this team. I don't think it's a big issue, but I really wish
there were better corners in this class. It kills me. There's not better corners in this class.
It makes me almost want to go corner first or trade up for a corner just to lock one in. It's
that much of a drop off, in my opinion, but we're going to go safe here. We're going to go
up a tail. We all go late at rush out of Oregon, 270 pounds, a long arms, and he has a little bit
more time to acclimate to the NFL than maybe some other players that would take a little more.
That would be needed to be thrusted in a little bit earlier. All right, Vegas, you're sitting
here at 28, which is not comfortable for me. But what is comfortable is looking at how many good
receivers you can target. And Reed Harris is an absolute stud. Now, it does suck because I like
going Charlie Becker for y'all. But defensive interior as well needs to be looked at. I think
wide receiver at 60 is a very realistic option. And so I look at the defensive interiors here
and going after Justin Scott, Tavian Gadsden, an amazing pass rushing defensive interior,
Ahmad Moten, super high floor. People are going to ask, why not David Stone? David this year,
just watch him. He just is not the player he is. I really want him to go back to school,
get in shape, get healthy, and then be the player that we all kind of wanted him to be.
He's just not it right now. I'm going to go after a floor player here with Ahmad Moten. He's still
very productive, would have been a top 100 pick last year, showed up in the biggest moments,
not a sexy pick at all, but he's just a damn good player. All right, for the Bills,
there's not really an intriguing option for me right now either, except for maybe Reed Harris
at this point. But this is the dream trade back team. They do it all the time. It's in their
nature. We're going to pull this off. We're going to have the Buffalo Bills trade with the Arizona
Cardinals. And this is a pretty big trade, right? Like this is a noticeably large trade. However,
I'm going to end up working it as part of future draft capital as well. Okay, we're not going to
end up shifting the whole entire board. Thank you very much. But I'm going to end up trading
multiple third round picks as part of this, you know, just kind of keeps everything pretty fair
and square. And to make it equal, we'll toss in a seventh round pick. So rejected it, kiss my ass,
toss in two sevens just to get them to accept the deal. Look at that, pick 248 was the big
differential. But the Arizona Cardinals who have already gone after, I don't know why that hasn't
changed. Arizona Cardinals who have already gone after the tackle out of Miami, Samson Okunlola
have traded two third round picks, which in my opinion for Buffalo, I'm going to get probably
the same player I draft here, but we're going to go Darian Menza, quarterback out of Miami.
So we're getting Menza as well as Okunlola have the tackle quarterback combo continuing to the NFL.
Number 30, San Francisco 49ers, good players all around, really good players all around. I love
addressing a guard tackle hybrid. I already took the ones I liked. I hate to say it. If you want
to take a ceiling shot, Lance Hurd, someone that you could try to, to think about a little bit,
but the underrated position to target's edge. Now I could be open to Kate Pieper here,
but he's also on the smaller side. Don't really know if that's going to necessarily reflect what
you want on your interior, but you look at the edge position here, Bosa is getting up there in
and he's been super unhealthy. And if he has anything sort, anything close to Joey's career
trajectory, it's not pretty because injuries are going to stack up. They're getting expensive.
I don't necessarily know how long the tenure is going to be. And so you want to look at a player
who provides that nastiness has a larger frame, but doesn't have the, I mean, arm like never was
the biggest thing. That's Cleve Lupin. Cleve Lupin is an absolute stud. He can play from a
four as well. I mean, who gives a, but he's strong. He's up to two 67. He's been extremely
productive both full years in a row. I would be willing to trade out to try to get him,
but I don't really know if there's anybody worth trading up for necessarily. I mean,
there's, there's some players here that you could end up arguing to try to move up for.
So I mean, Kate Pieper, man, I am trying to see if there's a team that would end up making said move.
I don't, I don't really know. I don't, I don't think so. Like you look at the wider
seer position. There's some very good ones. So we could try to justify a team trying to
jump the chiefs. For example, like the chargers, could they jump the chiefs? They got that extra
third round pick. Honestly, that's mutually beneficial. Let's do that. Cause I was like,
man, I don't, I feel bad for going like a pick like that, that early. The chargers,
they already ended up. I can't read English. They've already traded back once. We're going
to end up using that extra third round pick. We were talking about it, but yeah, I mean the
Niners end up getting a third round pick out of this equation. And then where are we? We're 18
points behind trade a fifth round pick and return. I think that's okay. So we're going to make it
happen. The chargers jumping beat out the chiefs and the chargers are sitting here and they're
saying, Hey, which wide receiver do we think is best? Reed Harris is the best wide receiver
available to me. Six, five to 25. Top end speed. Good after the catch. Good hands. Very well
rounded player. It doesn't get enough respect. Number 31. He's starting to, uh, number 31 for
the Vikings. This is a perfect spot to look at the QBs and Dante more CJ car. Both are here.
Um, CJ car, in my opinion, could go back for another year. I'm not going to have them do that,
but Dante more quarterback out of Oregon, the selection there for Minnesota, the value is just
too good to pass up changing McCarthy's no longer in the building. That's the route we go. And
number 32 for the chiefs. Do we go a pick here or do we have a team, make a surprise move up for
CJ car, get that fifth year extension. Very possible looking at the teams. I very like, I'm,
I'm very tempted to move up with Indianapolis here. Cause it's just like, Whoa, that that's a
very intriguing move for me. So Tennessee could be an option. Miami could be an option, but of
course, well, Miami got jumped. So that could be something where it's a slow cost move for Miami.
They already ended up going after their top end option at, um, at edge. They lost their top end
option at QB. I think that's a smart move. We're going to end up making a move with the Miami
dolphin. Cause honestly, if I'm the chief, I'm trying to get some future draft capital out of
this mug. So what can we get for 50 points? A future fourth round pick. I think that's perfectly
fair, a future four. And then you end up getting maybe a six round pick. Damn y'all be stingy as
****. Like that's crazy. Um, we'll, we'll leave it as that, but you can end up adding some points
there, but the dolphins are going to end up, do not have auto. I'm like, I've done way too much
for this ----. We're gonna have CJ car quarterback out of Notre Dame go at number 32. That's the
video. Thank you so much for watching. Stay tuned tomorrow for rounds two and three. Love you. See
you later. Peace.
