Welcome back to the channel. It's been a while.
A lot of things have happened since my last video.
It was the end of the tour season
and then we went into dance exam and I had my graduation
where I received my diploma for my master's degree.
Then there was vacation and so yeah
it's been a pretty hectic few months
but now I finally have time to sit down and share.
So Korea was the last spot I visited on vacation. I came to Korea like
10 years ago but I was very young then.
Little Emily did not care about skincare or makeup at all
so I guess this time I made up for it
and today I'm doing my very first Olive Young haul. Before
going to Olive Young, I actually did a lot of research.
I took notes and I looked at videos, I looked at
the reviews and I compared like a lot of the products.
For context, I have oily skin but sometimes it
Turns combination at the worst times,
so I am trying to find a way to deal with that.
But for most of my products that I buy, I try to go for ones that are
targeted for oily skin.
I also went to a color analysis test
and I found out that I'm a warm skin tone
and I'm a deep autumn.
So I did go shopping in Olive Young with that information,
trying to find a color palette
that suits my skin tone the best.
So my sharehouse would be in three categories,
products that target my skin type and face,
makeup recommendations from the color analysis,
and just some things that I picked up.
Spontaneously.
So let's get into it.
So first I have this Be Plain Mung Bean Face Wash.
It's a gentle, low pH cleanser
that cleans very well without leaving your face stripped,
which is exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm pretty excited to use it because I'm actually out of my face wash.
And next I have this Xeroid Face Cleanser.
It's mild care for sensitive and dry skin.
I'm not really dry skinned
but I do like a cleanser that I can use in the morning.
Most of the time I just kind of go through with like water
and then just pat dry but occasionally
I wake up and I feel like my skin is kind of sticky.
It has a bit of residue maybe from the
mask that I've been using
so I do like to have like a very soft cleanser that I could use and
a lot of the reviews that I saw they said
that this was like gentle enough to use in the morning
Morning, which I really like.
Next is this BioHeal Repair Cream Mist.
Apparently this is very amazing for if your skin is angry.
It's got panthenol, centella, and peptides.
And like I said, because I have oily skin,
that's also a bit sensitive.
I do want to use something that's more hydrating,
but also calming.
So next is Anua's PDRN Hyaluronic Acid Capsule Mist.
PDRN has been
Everywhere lately in Korea, this one's supposed to give you
that hydrated glowy glass skin look while helping your skin stay plump
So it's very hydrating my friend recommended this to me
I actually used it in Italy for the first week of my break.
The results were so good
So this is something that I will be using constantly here.
We have MetaHeals Tea Tree Trouble Calming Pad
These are toner pads with tea tree to help redness and breakouts.
I used to have the blue version, which I believe was the
The
Madagascar side.
Oh my gosh, I really don't know how to pronounce these things.
This is what you get when you buy products from a foreign country.
Anyway, I have the blue one and I loved it.
It went down too fast and I came back to Korea trying to look for it.
I found it.
They do have it in all of the Olive Youngs.
Next we have this sunscreen by D'Alba.
This essentially serves as a primer too.
My friend recommended it to me.
Half of my Sephora hauls were products that were recommended by this
friend so I trust her. Whatever she tells me is good, I buy.
So let's try this one and see how it
goes. This one here is a lip product.
It's by Bring Green. It says Hyalu. I'm guessing that's
short for hyaluronic acid. The moment I walked out of the store,
I opened it and I started using it.
It comes with a tinted one,
so it gives you a nice little fresh pink color.
I really like it because it's not that sticky.
It's definitely something I recommend.
This is Powder For A Room All Day Tight Makeup Setting Spray.
Apparently, this is the product.
I see it everywhere if you look in the back actually.
It has the whole line of awards.
Every single review I have seen,
they all say how amazing it is, how the mist is very fine.
This is something I'm very excited to try out.
Oh, found it.
There it is.
This one is by the same brand.
Apparently, it's supposed to help your lipstick stay on.
I feel like the moment I take a bite of something,
my lips are ruined.
That's akin to burning money.
So let's see if this thing works.
This is Banila's Prime Primer Finish Powder.
It blurs pores, so I need this.
And of course, we have face masks.
So these are Torriden's Balanceful Control Mask.
I have this in serum form.
It's calming and hydrating and for sensitive skin.
So another one of the products that are like all the hype.
This is UNOVE hair mask and I think
the main reason why it sells well is because it has two scents.
It makes sense.
Tender bloom and warm petals but it's supposed to work very well.
This is a whitening toothpaste.
I'm busting it.
I think it comes with a toothbrush. Let's take a look actually.
Oh, it does come with a toothbrush. There were reviews about how
it's good for whitening your teeth and I do need that.
I need to brush up on my teeth care.
Brush up on my teeth care. Pun unintended. Yeah, so.
Okay, next part. Products that I bought based
on my color analysis test.
Because I'm a deep autumn,
I try to go for muted, warmer, deeper colors.
So let's see the products that I got.
Foundation. This is Clio's Kill Cover Mesh Glow Cushion
and Liquid Foundation.
So after doing the color analysis test,
I realized that my skin was probably
a bit darker than I thought it was.
So I had to go for slightly darker tones.
And this one is in ginger, both of them are.
And I got this one for everyday makeup
and this one for my stage makeup.
And I'm pretty excited to try them both.
This is probably one of Clio's best-selling cushions.
It's supposed to blur pores while still looking very natural.
This one is known for very good coverage and lasting power,
so I'm excited to use it for my stage makeup.
This is a Radiance Balm by hince.
I tried it on in store,
and it gives a natural glow instead of the glitter.
This one is 3CE's Skin Fit Cover Liquid Concealer.
It's light, but it still covers redness.
This is Lilybyred's Slim Gel Eyeliner, and I have it in two colors.
One is coral, and one is in a brown color.
It has pretty good ratings and I quite like the idea of gel eyeliner.
It's probably a bit easier to control.
This is Art Class by Rodin's Frottage Pencil in Muted Taupe
and in Shining Linen.
This is a 卧蚕笔, I have quite
an expansive color set.
They have quite a few colors
and you can actually pair different ones to use it for your aegyo-sal.
This is Dasique's Shadow Palette in Warm Blending.
Their palettes are famous.
So their palettes are famous
for soft gradients instead of super bold pigments.
What I do like about this as opposed to some
of the other eyeshadow palettes I have is that the
colors are all within a color range.
I had a palette a few years back and I've essentially
finished using up the darker matte colors.
I had a blue and a green and a shimmery like
red that was just untouched and this is really sad
so i like it when i can use like all the
colors that's what i prefer oh no it's reflecting
my it's reflecting my light my very um sketchy
setup ah this is Lilybyred's Love Beam Cheek Balm in Mood Rose
So this is Musique Maison's Objet Liquid Lip Tint in Stranger.
This one is Lily by Red Bloody Liar Coating Tint
with Sugar Topping Jelly Gloss Set.
So this color is called Indifferent Fig.
I think their names are just really cute.
And this one is Starry Glow.
Let's see.
Starry Pink.
Okay so this is like the gloss and this is called Starry Pink.
This is 3CE's Cashmere Hug Lipstick in Taupe Beige.
Apparently this is really lightweight and it's got that...
Ah, I cannot open it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
It has a soft cashmere finish instead of a drying matte.
So now I'm at my last part which is stuff I just bought
because they looked cute or just because.
This is for my eyebrow.
Peripera's Skinny Brow Mascara in Natural Brown
and Wakemake Soft Drawing Slim Brow in Deep Brown.
I didn't actually need anything in my eyebrows
because the one I'm currently using works really
well. It's by Dior but I saw this and then I decided
that I'm going to try them out. And the
Korean aesthetic is that they actually go for a lighter brow color.
I wasn't really used to at
first because I thought that I had to make
my eyebrows like the same shade as my hair color.
Turns out that's not the case.
Lighter brows look more natural than just having stark.
dark eyebrows but of course it's
also based on your own preference. I think some people they
actually just like to go for the more expressive dark eyebrow look.
I am more of a natural girly so
I like to go for eyebrows that are more natural
and I do realize that I have very light and thin
eyebrows anyway. It doesn't really work out
when I use like darker shades or go heavier.
on the application. I think the two colors
are basically the same but a little bit varying in
hue so we'll see which one looks a little bit better.
Here I have a Miffy eyeshadow palette.
This I don't even know if it matches my skin tone
but I thought the packaging was just too
cute and it's a limited edition
so that was just such a buying point for me. I might end
up giving this away as a gift if I cannot fit it into my organizer.
The Stress Relieving Pureful Lip and Eye Remover Pad.
You can actually use this as just a normal face wipe.
Oh no, it went under the couch.
My lipstick just went under the couch,
so I'm gonna have to go grab that.
Anyway, these are very viral.
Every single review is going on about how you have to,
have to, have to, have to buy these.
And I do love how they're travel size.
I'm not the type of person who likes to use
Wipes because my skin is more sensitive
so I like to use cleansing oils or cleansing balms.
It's almost like a ritual for me.
I like to really make sure I get the makeup out of my skin
but these are supposedly very soft on skin
so I think I'll give these a try. I already gave
out a few of these as gifts because I do have some girlies
who just love to use wipes.
Bring Green small sleeping masks.
Actually one or two of them are wash off.
Great stocking stuffers, very nice and portable.
I like things, just dropping them. I like things
that I can just use and toss.
These little capsule masks are just such great things. Lastly, I just
have a bunch of random brushes, puffs, makeup tools.
I have seen one or two reviews that say
These brand of brushes are very good.
I tend to lose my brushes.
I don't know why.
Sometimes they probably just roll under.
Oh right, I still have to pick up there.
Okay.
So now I actually have makeup products all over the floor too.
Lastly, actually I have something
that's not from Olive Young. You might be able
to find it in some Olive Young stores. I didn't
really try. I actually went to the store itself.
It's by Holika Holika. It says concealer but it's
actually an oil absorber. Sometimes by the end of the day,
I glisten and it makes butter look like
a fossil. So I am always into finding things
that can help me control excess oil.
So that's the end of my haul,
and I'm actually going to spend the next month
testing these products and seeing which ones are good
and which ones are bad,
or which one's not really suited for me.
So let me know what you want reviewed first,
and comment below on what you'd like to see next,
and stay tuned for more.
Bye-bye.
For soft gradients and...
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
