The Top Life Habits of the World’s Wisest People | Robin Sharma explores the daily habits and mindset of some of the world's wisest and most successful people. Inspired by Robin Sharma's teachings, this video shares practical advice on building discipline, improving your mindset, managing your time wisely, and living with purpose. Discover simple habits that can help you become more productive, confident, and fulfilled every day.
Robin Sharma provides a guide to building a life of impact, blending professional excellence with personal fulfillment. He argues that true success is not measured by material wealth, but by \"JPF\" (Joy, Peace, and Freedom) and a commitment to serving others. By optimizing internal dimensions and embracing a craft-like obsession with detail, individuals can achieve elite performance and lasting meaning.
Hi, it's Robin Sharma. Hope you are amazing. I am here in London. I'm drinking some fresh mint tea
and I have a very valuable video for you here that is going to be useful to you if you're not a
beginner and not an amateur, but someone who really is in the process of creating your empire,
whether those are empires of creativity, productivity, prosperity, elite performance,
and impact on humanity. So this is going to be tactical. This is going to be methodological.
This is going to be philosophical. Hopefully it's even going to be inspirational. By the way,
I know I've cut my lip a little bit shaving this morning. I tried to stem the tide a little bit,
but I really did want to go ahead and make sure I shared this video with you no matter
what the circumstances are. Obviously I'm very human, but more importantly, I want to be of
service to you in this video and walk you through some very useful ideas that will help you own
your domain, help you build a great company if you're an entrepreneur, help you do awesome
artistic work, help you build a beautiful family life, and also have great service to the world.
I think it's so important for us to remember that to lead is to be of service and use.
I always go back to Nelson Mandela and he used to say, each one teach one. When I met the
former ANC prisoner who served on Robben Island with Nelson Mandela back a few years ago when I
was being walked into Nelson Mandela's prison cell on Robben Island, I asked this ANC prisoner,
did you know Nelson Mandela? And he said, yes, I did. I served with him for seven or eight years.
And I said, what was he like? And he said, oh, that man was a humble servant. He said,
that man used to say, each one teach one. That man believed that education was the doorway into
freedom. And so success is wonderful and prosperity is important and enjoying the beauty of life is
a great thing and expressing your gifts and your talents is so vastly important. But I believe
almost more than anything else to use the remainder of your life to lift others up,
especially people in need, especially people who are struggling, especially people who are
suffering. So much of my life these days is being devoted to quiet philanthropy, helping children
suffering from leprosy, helping people who are unable to pay for their education, get educations.
And so anyway, I just wanted to start off with the reminder that we must be of use. And as you
become more successful, I think the responsibility becomes even stronger for you to give and serve.
And by the way, also, when you give, you not only serve that person in need, you grow and you fall
in love more with your gifts and talents and you feel like your life is meaningful. So anyway,
let me get into some of the things I wanted to share in this particular video. And the first one
is this. Never lose the sparkle in your eyes. This morning, I went for a long walk along the
river down at the embankment here in London. I walked through Covent Garden and down to the
embankment and towards, what is it, the South Bank. And when I was down at the embankment station,
I stopped for a few moments and I just watched all the people walking off the tube going to work.
And I just looked at them and I saw in so many of these good people, they looked exhausted. And
most of them, I'd say 99% of them were not smiling and they looked fatigued and they
looked depleted. And some of them looked depressed and many of them looked discouraged. And it made
me think, when you see a group of school kids, let's say on a tour, on an adventure with their
teachers, they're singing or they're smiling or they're laughing and they're all talking and
they're connecting and most of them have a sparkle in their eye. And so it made me think this morning,
what has happened to us after we left the awe and wonder of childhood that has caused us to lose our
sparkle and the shine and the magic in our eyes? And what has happened after we've left the beauty
of childhood where we've dimmed down our creativity and we've lost our sense of bravery and we've lost
connection and access to our authenticity and our true values and who we truly are and we've
stopped dreaming and we've lost our ambition. And so this year at the Titan Summit, a lot of it is
going to be focused on how do you reclaim your inner hero and that lost artist and that magic
and wonder that you once knew. And I've developed a series of methodologies and systems and frameworks
and tools that I actually use in my own life and that I teach to the billionaire clients that I've
coached for and mentored for over two decades. And you're going to learn it this year at the Titan
Summit. And for some reason, I'm not quite sure what it is, but billionaires want to work with me.
Billionaires come to me even a few weeks ago. They come, they ask me, I want you to mentor me.
I want you to help me grow my fortune, but also get my mindset, heart set, soul set, health set
back. I want you to help me calibrate a wonderful personal life because many of them have vast,
all of them have vast wealth. They have the jets. They have the multiple homes. They have the yachts.
They have these financial empires, but what they lack is what I think the game is really about.
And I call it JPF, joy, peace, and freedom. Joy, peace, and freedom. When I had this conversation
with the billionaire, he said, what was he said? He said, generally, massive wealth is a contradiction
to personal freedom. Generally, massive wealth is a contradiction to personal freedom. What does
that mean? It means that a lot of people who have a lot of money have lost their joy, peace, and
freedom along the way. And what we really want in life is that state of joy, peace, and freedom.
And so I want you to think for now, for the purposes of this training video, I want you to
ask yourself, have you lost the sparkle in your eyes? Have you lost your sense of
connection to the magic in the world? It's one thing to be making money and to be
economically successful, but if you don't have that sense of freedom, if you don't have that
sense of lightness of heart, if you don't have the ability to sit out on a beautiful day and
walk freely and explore and go to art galleries and read great books, I think you've lost
something. By the way, yesterday I did one of my favorite things. I went down to Covent Garden,
I went into my favorite bookstore, and I bought a bunch of books. And I just wanted to show you
out of pure excitement some of the books that I bought. First of all, Goodbye Things. Goodbye
Things. Listen to this. Fumio Sasaki is a writer in his 30s who lives in a tiny studio in Tokyo
with three shirts, four pairs of trousers, four pairs of socks, and not much else.
Interesting book. And then I also have been reading, and I bought this yesterday,
Moby's Memoir, which is just, I can't put it down. And I also found this other one,
Baltastar Grecian, The Pocket Oracle. It's a book of wisdom. And of course, I bought, again, I buy
the same book many times. This is one of my favorite books of all time, The Prophet by
Khalil Gibran. And I can't tell you how many copies of The Prophet I've bought. And I just,
wherever I go, I read it again, and I get new insights. And same with Marcus Aurelius. Every
time I'm in Rome, I go to my favorite bookstore, and I buy The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius,
and I read it again. So anyway, first point is really don't lose the sparkle in your eye,
which really means re-access your inner heroism and rebuild that relationship,
not with your ego self, which is your insecure, wounded, fearful self, but rebuild
that relationship with your highest self, which is that inner warrior, and that primal hero,
and that voice of wisdom that knows where you're meant to be, what you're meant to do,
and how big you're meant to play. Second idea I want to offer to you is develop mighty mission
clarity. So the majority, and this is not a judgment, it's a reporting, the majority are
busy being busy, and they're addicted to devices, and addicted to alcohol, and addicted to busyness,
and addicted to gambling, or addicted to shopping, or addicted to worrying. I mean, in many ways,
it's become a society of addicts. And what's happened is we develop addictions because we
escape from pain. See, potential unexpressed, the potential you were born into, if you're not
expressing it, if you're not living it, if you're not releasing and showing your primal glory every
single day, then at a subconscious level, you you're developing, you know, anger, and sadness,
and guilt, and shame over your self-betrayal against your genius. And rather than processing
through that, and again at the Titan Summit this year, I'm going to teach a tool called the Afra
tool, which my elite clients are finding has revolutionized their lives. If you don't know
these tools, if you don't know how to process through toxic emotions that, you know, from life's hurts,
then you repress it, and you develop what I call a field of hurt. And the field of hurt, this is so
important, the field of hurt is the missing link to self-mastery. Because this field of hurt that
develops as we move through life, and get discouraged, and knocked down, or laughed at, or we betray our
talents, this field of hurt, then it's repressed toxic energy, it blocks us from our creativity.
And it actually blocks us from epic productivity. And it blocks us from going after opportunities.
And it blocks us from living our gifts and our talents. And it blocks us from asking for what
we want. And it blocks us from falling in love with other people, and with ourselves. And it
blocks us from the prosperity that life wants for every single one of us. I mean, life is meant to
be prosperous. There is no lack in our universe, is there? There's no lack of apple blossoms,
and trees, and flowers, and all those things. The only reason we live scarce lives, if we do,
is because we are blocked. We are our own worst enemy. So what I want you to do, point number two,
is develop mighty mission clarity. Get really clear on what you want to stand for in the world,
and what your mighty mission is in the world. And that takes thinking. In a world where we're
so busy, we don't think anymore. We don't contemplate. We don't introspect. The greatest
geniuses all spend a lot of time in solitude. They all spend a lot of time alone. They all
take these retreats. And that's why they go live in Mauritius, or they go live in Rome,
or they go live here in London. They get away, and they create, and they think, and they ponder in
solitude. And so, please remember, there's no point in being very busy and executing flawlessly
around things that don't matter. You do want to be a minimalist, or a purist, around your few
highest priorities. Third point in this training video, I'm going to get back to the model
that I'm bringing to the field of leadership, and elite performance, and exponential productivity,
and becoming an empire creator, which is the four interior empires. Mindset, heartset,
healthset, and soulset. And again, at the Titan Summit this year, we're going to go very deep into
how to optimize your mindset and your psychology so you dominate your domain. And then we're going
to get into this term I've created, heartset, which is how do you purify your heartset so you
do release the toxic emotions of shame, and guilt, and sorrow, and anger, and you let them out of
your system so there is no field of hurt. And also how you reconnect with those higher vibration
emotions of heartset, which is gratitude, and love, and wonder, and passion, and enthusiasm,
and optimism. And then at the Titan Summit we're going to get into healthset, like how do the
superstars, and pros, and elite athletes, and biohackers live longer, have more energy,
feel more vitality, and bulletproof their physical lives. So they not only do amazing things in the
world and in their businesses, but also they live longer and enjoy life. And then I'm also going to
get into the fourth interior empire in a very deep way, as I've never done, which is soulset.
Mindset, heartset, healthset, and soulset. Those are the four interior empires. And soulset is
really how do you turn down the voice of your ego so you're not insecure, so you give to the world,
and you serve the world, and you model possibility in the world, and you live your magic.
And how do you find a cause, this is again soulset, a cause that's bigger than yourself,
your crusade that you stand for, and you use it to help people, so that when you die the world
becomes, is left better than you found it. And related to that, I'm going to get into, in the
room at the Titan Summit, the eight forms of external empires. So there's the four interior
empires of mindset, heartset, healthset, and soulset. And once you optimize your mindset,
and you purify your heartset, and you calibrate your healthset, and you escalate your soulset,
then there are eight exterior empires that just start to grow in ways beyond your wildest
imagination. And those include your circle of genius, which is your associations. It includes
your artistry or your craft, which is your work. It includes your philanthropy and your contribution
in the world. And of course, it does include your economic life, because it is important to grow
your prosperity so you can do amazing things for you and your family. Because in many ways,
wealth is not about economic wealth, it's about experiences. And I think the person who experiences
the most wins. A few final ideas I want to offer to you, which is, the great ones all have one
in common. They are monomaniacal perfectionists. They have a wild obsession with the pursuit of
excellence. And so you see the great artists, and the great business people, and the great chefs.
I was recently at the Test Kitchen in Cape Town, and I had just an absolutely world-class meal.
And I thank Luke, the chef, and the whole team over there for delivering just a wizard-like,
a magical experience at the Test Kitchen in Cape Town. It was just the quality of the food,
and the user experience. And now they've got two rooms. There's the dark room. You walk in,
and there's the dark room, where you experience the beginning parts of the meal. I think four
courses or five courses. And they pull out this map, and they say, you're going to start off here,
and then you're going to go here. And then we're going to take you in terms of the food here,
and you're going to end it here. And it's just this really, it's a sensational experience,
and a thoughtful experience, and a creative experience, and just a magical experience.
And then after you finish that, they walk you into the light room, where you try
all of these different plates. And they pair it with exquisite, what they call iconic wine.
And it's just the services dialed in. And you watch the kitchen, and all I'm trying to say is,
I love hotels that are obsessively attentive to detail. I love restaurants where the smallest
flower on a piece of food, or the way the music is set up, or the smallest attention and refinement,
or innovation is so well thought through in a world that embraces mediocrity. In a world where
so few people see themselves as artists. In a world where many people who are good people are
just checked out, and there's no fire in the belly to innovate and create painstaking care about what
they do. I want to remind you of the importance of being obsessively attentive to the smallest of
details. Because that's what artists do. Two final ideas. What is real wealth? I've been thinking
about this for years, and all of the legendary leaders that I mentor, and all of the companies
that I've worked with, whether it's a Starbucks, a Nike, an IBM, an IBM Watson, a General Electric,
a Starbucks. All of these companies I've worked with, and all of these people I've mentored,
and especially the billionaires. Because these are people who, some of them have a lot of money,
but they don't have much else. They've literally been so focused on their careers, building wealth,
and building their businesses, that they've lost a sense of peace. They've lost a sense of joy.
Some of them have lost their health, or lost their family lives. As we end this training video,
or our time together, I want you to really think, what is true wealth? I really do think it's this
term I've been sharing at my events. JPF, joy, peace, and freedom. I don't think you really
want a jet. I don't think you really want a mansion. I don't think you really want a yacht.
I think really what you want is a feeling of joy, and a feeling of peace, and a sense of freedom.
There are a lot of people who are very successful, but they've lost freedom.
There are some people who I've met, they don't have a lot, but they have great freedom,
which is truly priceless. I want you to think about that. What is true success? What is true
wealth? I think it's things like personal mastery. I think it's things like true freedom. I think
it's having a great family life. I think great wealth is having great vitality and health,
so you feel strong and can do great things. I think true wealth is having the perceptual acuity
to see flowers, and read great books, and take long walks in nature, and come to a city like
I'm in right now, London, and go over to the Tate Modern, and then perhaps find a little bistro,
or a little restaurant that's charming, or has an interesting spin to it, and just enjoy it with
those who you love, or maybe alone. And so at the Titan Summit this year, I'm going to,
obviously, me and my faculty, because the Titan Summit, if you don't know about it,
it's one of the most celebrated live events in the world. It's four days with me and a faculty
that I build of absolute thought leaders on elite performance, on empire creating, on building a
billion dollar company, on biohacking, on living to a hundred, and on changing the world. There
is nothing quite like the Titan Summit on the planet. If you're interested in a live event,
where you literally dominate your domain, you'll learn how to build a company that is undefeatable,
you'll learn how to handcraft great teams. If you want to multiply your financial fortune,
and your creative fortune, and your productive fortune, and your physical fortune,
if you want to learn how to change the world and make the world better, then I'd love to help you.
I really would love to help you. And you need to be in this room if you really want to
times 25 the way that you play in the world. And before I tell you a bit about the Titan Summit,
let me get on to the final point, which is to lead is to serve. And there are people in great
need in the world. And here's the real point. It's not really very hard to change someone's life.
In Africa, for example, six or $700 could give someone the funds to get an education that will
allow them to vastly improve their lives and their family lives. And if you just have your eyes open
for opportunities to serve and help people, even if it's just someone who's cleaning a room in a
hotel, or someone who's on a street asking for money, and you just slow down, and you look at
the person in the eye, and you help them with some money, and you talk to them. I mean, sometimes
it's just a bit of encouragement you give to someone that changes themselves and gives them
hope again, and helps them believe again, and starts them down a new path. Maybe you go buy
your favorite book from a bookstore, and you give it to someone in a restaurant, or in a hotel,
or on the street, or in a taxi cab. It's just, it's so easy to go through the world if you choose
to and be like a Johnny Appleseed, planting seeds of hope, and love, and service, and encouragement
to people. And it's just amazing what starts to return to you when you live like that. And I'm
also, you know, I encourage you, you're probably very successful, otherwise you wouldn't be
following me, and you know, to be a philanthropist, and to be a humanitarian. A humanitarian is
someone who cares about the welfare of the world, and I think it's very important in our world
to be someone who gives, and serves, and helps other people. Anyway, so let me tell you about
the Titan Summit. If you want to multiply your creativity, your productivity, your prosperity,
your impact on humanity, and your lifestyle exponentially, then the information I'm about
to share will be extraordinarily valuable to you, and I would love to help you. If you're not
interested in those things, if you don't believe in live events at the highest level, if you're not
interested in dominating your domain, being the artist of what you do, living a beautiful lifestyle
that very few people live, and serving the world in the most profound way while you do this, then
the Titan Summit isn't for you. If you want to live a heroic life, a truly what I call AWC now, an
absolutely world-class life, where you do amazing things in business, you're an absolute innovator,
you're an artist of your craft, but you also do amazing things with your family life, and you
have a great lifestyle while you serve the world in the process, then you really need to be in the
room at the Titan Summit this year. We have very few seats available because most of the people in
the room last year secured their seats for this year. That is just the reality, and if you were
in the room last year, you know exactly what I'm talking about. What is the Titan Summit? It's four
days at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto. This is, I think, our seventh year, and it's not just me. I speak on
the first day, where the theme is exponential creativity, productivity, and elite performance.
Last year, I believe, on the first day, Deepak Chopra, my friend, also spoke, and I think we had someone else,
but I put together a faculty for the entire four days. We've had Richard Branson on my faculty,
Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, on my faculty, Chris Hedfield, the astronaut, on my
faculty. We have biohackers and some of the best people in the world on how do you live longer,
get more done, get into the finest fitness of your health on my faculty. We've had the former
president of Starbucks, Jim Donald, on my faculty. Shaq, the NBA superstar, has been on my faculty,
and this year, we are going to have the finest, most interesting, most high-impact faculty that
I don't want to say we've ever had, because we've had amazing faculty members, but we are going to
have a faculty this year that will absolutely blow your mindset, heart set, health set, and soul set,
and do help you achieve amazing things in the world. You know, if you've had blocks to
leap performance, if you've been frustrated, if you're stuck in the past, if you're not as positive
as you used to be, if your industry is in decline, if you have an angst or a longing to do more,
and you haven't figured out how to do it, if you want to wake up with that sense of wonder,
if you want real tools to not only be a titan in your field, but live a beautiful life, and
read the details below, and get one of the limited seats left for the Titan Summit this year,
and I'll see you in the room, and I want to thank you so much for your attention,
and I hope this video has been valuable, inspirational, and useful to you.
I'll talk to you next time. From London, thanks a lot. Bye-bye.
