Hi friends, we learn many stories in reality.
Girls are being harassed by their in-laws. They don't know what
to do and then they commit suicide and they do any other things.
They may go to their parents' house again and they may take divorce.
And so there are many aspects regarding this aspect
if they are facing any problems with in-laws.
But the story which we are going to learn now is the story
of Kirti Sena which is inspiration to all girls.
She did not commit suicide, she also being troubled by mother-in-law,
but she did not commit suicide
and she didn't even tell all these aspects to her husband also.
But she could overcome all these difficult situations.
How could she overcome these situations?
This story is actually there in Sanskrit lesson
for intermediate students, I think. Let us know this inspiring story.
Once lived a businessman and he had only one daughter.
Her name was Kirtisena.
She was very beautiful and very soft natured too.
And he was looking for a suitable match for his daughter.
And finally he found a suitable match for his daughter.
And the bridegroom was very handsome.
And then after getting married, she came to Inla's house.
Her husband was very good enough.
He was not only handsome, he was very good natured, very good enough.
He was taking good care of her,
but mother-in-law was very horrible lady.
She lost her husband in her young age,
so it developed a lot of jealousy on her.
So started harassing her daughter-in-law in the absence of her son.
It was going on, but Kirti Sena never complained to her husband.
Instead, she kept quiet.
But one day, Kirti Sena's husband had to go out on trading.
In those days, it would take months together.
three months six months so for going
and coming back it would take very long time
first time Kirti Sena told
her husband i'm worried i'm scared of mother-in-law
she was always she always calls me i don't know i'm missing you
and all these things she said
you don't worry i will tell my mother then he went
He went to his mother and said,
Kritsena, please take care of Kritsena.
She is little scared of you.
Then she said, I am taking very good care of her.
Why did you get that doubt?
He said, it's not doubt.
Maybe she might have misunderstood you.
So please take good care of her during my absence.
She shouldn't feel I am far away from her.
Then I will take very good care of her.
In Kritsena's house, there was some underground tunnel,
something like a big underground room where they used
to put certain things in that. They kept Kritsena
in that and then whenever they wanted to give her food,
just they dropped some food there with a pot or something like that.
She did not eat properly.
Everywhere it was darkness and she couldn't bear it.
She could not come out. She did not know what to do.
She was slowly reducing. She was not able to eat food properly.
So she was trying to escape. Otherwise she would die. She was reducing.
And it would take months together for her husband to come back.
Meanwhile she wanted to escape from that place.
In that underground tunnel, she found an axe.
She took the axe and started digging the wall.
That wall slowly was leading to her room where she
was staying with her husband.
Then finally, with great difficulty, she made a hole.
And through that hole, she stepped into her room.
And she wanted to take some clothes and whatever jewelry she had.
She wanted to take some for her livelihood.
Meanwhile, till her husband would come back,
then later she thought, if I am like a woman, I may face problems.
So I have to dress myself as a man.
Thinking so, she took her husband's dress,
wore those clothes and she even wore turban and came out.
In midnight, she came out of the house.
She started moving through a forest.
She heard howling sound of dogs. Normally if there are thieves,
howls will make such sound.
So she suspected there might be thieves. She got again doubt.
Suppose if she is caught by the thieves.
If I am caught by the thieves,
what will happen to me?
My life will be in danger. So she started
She was moving towards a dense forest and was hiding somewhere.
Later she found something like underground there also.
She went there, she found a demon with her daughters.
And she was again scared. What is this?
If I want to overcome one difficult situation,
I am falling into another difficult situation.
First my mother-in-law, then the thieves.
I was scared of thieves. And then this ghost.
And this ghost might, this demon might eat me at any point of time.
So, again she hid somewhere
and was hearing the conversation between the demon and its children.
And all those children were crying.
And then mother demon was saying,
See, I went out to get food, but I am not able to get food.
We want Narmamsa. Narmamsa means human meat.
We are feeling very hungry. We want it right now.
She started shedding tears.
Finally, okay, I will find out if I get any food.
She went to a place called,
that is the place where demons normally stay
and they get advices from their leader. That is called Baithalpuram.
She reached there and started telling this to that day's leader.
Then the leader said, there is the king of this forest, forested area.
He is suffering from some problem.
He has severe headache.
There are some snakes entered into his.
And then a small snake entered through the ear into his head
and then they laid many eggs there and those turned to be small snakes.
But he is suffering from those snakes and getting severe headache.
So he may die at any point of time.
That time your children can eat the meat of that king.
That is what they said.
Baithal leader said,
and then the demon came and told the same to the children.
Then children asked, if suppose if he doesn't die,
normally if snakes are there,
plenty of snakes are there in his head, he will definitely die.
Then, no, in case if anybody saves king's life, then what happens?
He will be survived.
We can't get the meat.
But you tell the reason, if anybody saves, how can they save?
Let's continue with the story, friends.
Kithi Sena was moving forward and reached a place
and found steps leading to underground.
Found a demon with her children.
Children were crying for food.
Shedding tears, demon said, didn't get human meat today.
I will go to Baithalpur and ask the leader for suggestion.
Reached the place asked leader,
My children are hungry. Didn't find human meat anywhere.
How can I fulfill their hunger?
The demon asked.
Demon's leader gave an advice.
It went home and said,
The king of this area is suffering from severe headache.
He will die at any moment. Then you can get food.
What happened to king?
baby demons asked.
A snake entered into his head through ears and laid eggs.
They turned into baby
snakes. So he got severe headache and he will die at any moment,
said mom. If someone saves his life,
he won't die. Then what about our food? asked babies.
Many tried but they couldn't do anything,
said the demon. If possible, how can he be saved? They demanded answer.
From one ear, warm water should be sent into his head with a pipe.
Those baby snakes can't bear and they may die.
If another empty pipe is sent into head through another ear,
they may come out with the water sent, said the demon.
Kirti Sena heard their conversation, wanted to meet the king.
Kirti Sena went to his palace as a young man. He told the king's men,
I heard your king is suffering from incurable headache.
But if I am allowed, I will cure him of his headache.
They said sarcastically. No one could do anything.
How can you little chap help? Let me make a trial, said Kirti Sena.
She was taken into the king's chamber.
At first,
Kirti Sena did some massage on his forehead.
The king felt little relieved, got confidence on her.
King was brought to garden on her suggestion.
He then asked his men to get two pipes,
warm water in a tub and another empty tub
and just implemented what the demons said.
From one tube passed water through one ear.
King felt the movement of snakes.
They came out from another ear through empty tube
and fell into the empty tub.
They were in plenty.
Thus, the king got relieved completely from headache.
As said before, he announced half of his kingdom
to the young one who saved his life.
Kirti Sena said,
Maharaj, I don't want your kingdom but justice.
Come on, tell me, my dear young man.
How can I help you? said the king.
Actually, I am not a man. I am a married woman. My name is Kirtisena.
Kirtisena explained everything happened after she got married.
Please give me shelter until my husband comes back.
The king assured, I will not only give you shelter, but make
your husband aware of the problems you faced with your mother-in-law.
I will punish her. Thus, she got shelter
and the king made his men bring her husband to his palace.
King further appreciated her and gave her many gifts.
Kirtisena, I am proud of you.
Your life is an example to every married girl.
Kirtisena's mother-in-law was brought to his court.
On her request, King made her,
made Kirtisena's mother-in-law to be imprisoned for few days.
Mother-in-law repented for cruelty.
To her daughter-in-law and asked her forgiveness.
Then Kirti Sena was leading happy life with her family.
