the evening leans against
the glass a little cold
a little blue soft upon my lips
So tonight I wanted to share a realistic night routine
and just show how I actually wind
down and take care of myself after a really long day.
So it's been kind of chilly outside
so I've been craving something that's a little bit
warm and hearty.
Tonight we're going to make sujebi.
So if you guys didn't know, sujebi is a really popular Korean soup.
And it's made with hand-torn dough.
So this is basically the main ingredient.
This is wheat flour
and it's usually made in a very savory anchovy broth.
I'm going to do one cup of wheat flour.
This is half
a cup.
About one-third cup of water.
I'm going to add a pinch of salt.
A little bit of oil so that it doesn't really stick.
Okay now once it gets to this texture,
make sure your hands are clean
and put some oil.
But you're basically just going to keep kneading this.
Alright, so you want to make sure it's not too sticky
and that nothing sticks to your hand.
I've
been
taking
these
vitamin
C
packets
daily.
I think it's easier and I find myself being more consistent
with these instead of taking the pills.
You need scallion, onion,
potato, carrot, and then I
have some frozen shabu beef
and some frozen squash.
And you need garlic.
This potato is gigantic so I'm only going to use
Just a little bit of it.
Sujebi is such a comfort food of mine.
I used to eat this all the time when I was young.
It's really easy to make and it's also really affordable to make.
Sometimes I just can't
justify paying $20 for a bowl
when it costs just a few dollars to make at home.
I like to cut the carrots really thin.
For
flavor,
I'm going
to add
a little
bit of
fish
sauce and
some salt.
I have
to eat
this
with
kimchi.
You never know what to watch on Netflix.
If you guys have recommendations, please let me know.
I'm so excited to eat this.
I got my kimchi on the side.
It's really good.
Get a bite of sujebi.
So chewy.
This is exactly what I was craving.
There's something about the chewy dough
and the warm broth,
and it just hits different on a cooler night.
And I love how the dough is all different sizes.
It adds different texture and chewiness.
There's a few Korean dishes where,
depending on the dish, kimchi actually tastes better.
This is one of them.
Now that my
stomach
is
happy
and
full.
I'm going to make myself a hot tea
and start winding down for the night.
Tonight, I'm going
to make a ginseng
and ginger tea.
This was gifted from Hale Harvest.
It's a family-owned farm in Wisconsin
and they sent a five-year-old American ginseng.
And these are already pre-sliced ginger.
these are actually a lot bigger than i thought.
so if you guys want to try this out too,
i'll have a link in my description.
My first cleanse, this is a cleansing milk from Make Prem,
I pretty much use this every
single day.
This is really really gentle, and it's very hydrating,
so it's good for my sensitive skin.
This leaves my skin really soft and moisturized.
If I'm wearing heavier makeup, then I'll use my oil cleanser.
So this is my first step,
and then I'll go in with my second cleanse, and I've been using
I'm using the La Roche-Posay Foaming Cleanser.
I like that there's no fragrance
and it's really just not that harsh on your skin.
So before I dry my hair, I like to go in with my scalp treatment.
This is a Korean scalp care tonic.
It's from Just As I Am.
Smells exactly like this Jo Malone perfume.
Just spray the roots.
I like to put this on the ends of my hair.
This really helps the appearance of damaged hair.
So this is a protein-based hair treatment.
It really helps to make my hair look smoother and healthier.
I put this on when my hair is still slightly damp.
I like to kind of just massage it on the ends of my hair.
And then I go in with my hair dryer.
My wet brush detangle the hair
And then hair care is done.
Okay so I just showered and dried my hair. My skin always
feels dry after I shower.
So the first thing I'm going to do is hydrate my skin with Thayers
first spray serum white truffle mist.
I really like this mist and I've been using this for
several years now. I just wish the scent
was a little bit less strong. And if I need extra
Extra hydration.
I'll go in with this well-aged Real Hyaluronic Blue Ampoule 100.
I feel like I introduced this so many times
but it is one of my favorite serums.
So it looks like that. It's kind of blue.
It basically helps your skin hold on to water.
So if my skin feels really dry,
then I'll just add another layer of this.
So this is the MediCube
TXA Niacinamide 15 Serum.
So it's been a few weeks since I've used this and
So far it's not bad, but I'm not sure if I would repurchase it.
It's a little bit too sticky for me.
Niacinamide is just one of those ingredients I always keep
in my routine. Helps with overall
brightness, it prevents wrinkles,
and it really helps to keep my skin even and healthy.
Also, I like to leave a little bit of time
in between each step to let everything absorb
properly. I know it's really tempting to just hurry up
and layer everything on quickly,
but giving each product a minute
or two to just let it sink in really really makes a difference.
So this is a newer brand that I recently discovered.
It's called Layer Lab. This is
the 3-1-1 Barrier Moist Cream.
So I've been on a hunt for a cream that's not too heavy,
But also isn't too light and it looks like that.
I find this to be the perfect in between. Sinks in really nicely.
So I put a lot on.
So this product has cholesterol, ceramide, and fatty acid.
It almost feels like a balm, but it's not too heavy.
So it's a good in-between where I could use this
in the morning and the nighttime.
And it has like a light minty scent to it.
Also, I'll have the links to most of these products
if I can find it in my description.
So that's pretty much it for my face.
And then for my neck, I'm gonna use
This Beauty of Joseon Revive Firming Cream.
I don't have a dedicated neck cream.
I just pretty much use whatever moisturizer
or cream I have laying around.
And then I'll put the rest on my hands.
Okay, so now the last step.
I like to go in with my facial device.
This is Quadthera.
I actually bought this when I was in Korea last year.
This is the mini version.
There's usually a cream that goes with this, but
I'm out of it.
I've been using just like a face mist and once it makes this sound.
I just glide it onto my skin.
So this is an ultrasound device
and it has three different modes.
I've been using this for over a year
and honestly, I don't use it every single day.
It doesn't do miracles or anything like that,
but when I am consistent with it,
I really do notice a difference in my skin texture.
The morning after I use this,
I always notice a glow on my face, not the shiny
surface glow but the kind of glow that you can tell
your skin is healthy from within. one round
of this takes i think 12 minutes
so it's definitely a commitment to do this consistently but it really
does make a difference. all right
so skincare is done. so before i go to sleep i do a little
bit of stretching. i have a lot of tension on my neck
and shoulders so i like to stretch
This area before I go to sleep.
This little tool has been really handy and instead of holding it
like this, holding it this way is much better for me
and I use this side part kind of just massage.
If you're not used to this, it can kind of hurt at first.
You can also use this on your neck. I think I got this from Amazon.
For like less than ten dollars. I'll try to find a link for it.
It also feels good under your arms
This is where a lot of toxins get built up.
So whenever i'm done using this i'm
Pretty warm, but I feel like my circulation is just much better.
So I always try to do that step before I sleep
Okay guys, so that was my nighttime routine.
I hope you guys liked it. I'm just gonna read my bible and go to bed
Thank you guys so much for watching. See you guys in the next one
