Ancient Cities Tour

Rome in One Day – Walking from Vatican to Roma Termini On my two-week Europe trip, Rome was my second stop after landing in Naples—and it quickly became one of my favorite cities. I started my journey in Vatican City, standing in awe at St. Peter’s Basilica. Then I walked across the city, passing some of Rome’s most iconic landmarks: Monument to Victor Emmanuel II – A massive white marble structure honoring Italy’s first king, featuring grand staircases, columns, and a striking bronze statue. Roman Forum – Once the heart of ancient Roman life, its ruins still echo the power and legacy of the empire. Colosseum – The largest ancient amphitheater ever built, where gladiators once fought and crowds once roared. I ended the day at Basilica of Saint Mary Major, a peaceful and historic church, before reaching Roma Termini to catch my train to Pisa. Rome's rich history and stunning architecture made this walk one of the most unforgettable parts of my trip.
