Ashley Dvorkin breaks down November box office newcomers

Welcome back. November is kicking off in a big way at the movies. From a Dr. Seuss classic to an epic outing for Godzilla, Sylvester Stallone's Rocky story starting its run in theaters and more. Fox's Ashley Deverkin joins us live with a look with this week's new releases. Good morning, Ashley. Good morning, Alex and Justina. Yes, it is such a big new releases week and PG animated fun leads the way on this new releases Friday. Still having fun with those rhymes because the Cat in the Hat is new in theaters this time. Bill Hader voices the cat in the hat as he takes siblings struggling with a new move on a journey of imagination, chaos, and at times, seussical rhymes. Those were the scenes we had to do over and over again, just because I would trip up every time. That's what I live and breathe. Anthony Ippolito leads I Play Rocky as Sylvester Stallone, defying the odds to write and star in what would become a Hollywood classic. Speaking of Rocky... The original is back on screen for a 50th anniversary re-release. Knockout double feature, anyone? We're totally the CIA. We're not the CIA. Martin McDonagh's Wild Horse 9, set just before the 1973 Chilean coup, stars John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell as CIA agents sent from Santiago to Easter Island, where they wrestle with their past on a trip constantly in danger of going sideways. How does it feel to be a star, Jimmy Stewart? The biopic Jimmy follows Jimmy Stewart from Oscar winner to enlisting ...as a combat pilot at the beginning of World War II. For the revolution! For King and Country's Joel and Luke Smallbone introduce the action musical Drummer Boy about brothers on opposite sides of the American Revolutionary War. The epic-scale Ramayana Rise of a Legend is in Hindi and English, IMAX, and premium large formats, with its story of a prince bound by sacrifice, an immortal king, and the prophecy connecting them. Plus, Godzilla Minus Zero follows up the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One, set in 1949 Japan, where they face a new threat and find a daring new plan to take it on. And I do think that monster franchise might top the box office this time around. It did get an early start in IMAX on November 3rd, which is Godzilla Day. Alex, Justina. All right, Ashley. Thanks for the advice. We'll have to look into those. We're back with more Good Day right after this.
