Meet the Quebec teen whose 'perfect' cow won an international prize
Nov 6, 2026
It felt pretty awesome because, you know,
you don't expect to win over there.
It's kind of like you want to go and you want to have fun.
And there's a lot of cows and a lot of really good cows in that show.
So you got to be really careful
and get your cow the most ready you can.
Ella is just a perfect cow.
She'll always eat, aggressive all the time.
She always gets a good fill, like her belly's always going to be open
because she really will eat all the time.
Her feet and leg are just incredible.
She walks very nice.
You know, they're not crooked or anything.
And then there's her udder, which is so well attached.
From the front to the back and a lot of veins on it.
The prize I won was in the junior show.
It was only people that were 21 and under that could show their cow.
So no big companies or big farms could have parts in a cow
or own a bit of the cow.
It only had to be young kids.
You want to represent Quebec a lot.
That was kind of the whole point.
I think it was just to show that Quebec people don't go there.
oftenly because it's a long truck ride
and you got to add a lot of energy to your cow.
I've had a farm since I was a kid.
My grandpa actually built the farm and I've been doing it
since I was a young kid. I mean now I've started
to work more with the animals and get a feel of
how it's done and how to get cows and heifers ready
but I've been showing since I was a baby.
