Bring on the jingle bars

The holiday season is here and the jingle bar season is very much here. Skip right over Thanksgiving. We're going to do that. The transition to the holidays is underway at many Twin Cities restaurants as we know and as Shane Wells knows there's one that will be opening tomorrow in the West Metro that is it is I'm speechless. I've been to it a few times. It is always impressive every year. I don't know how they do it but they outdo themselves. They do, and this year they've done it again here at Lola's Lake House in Waconia. We have Alexis Willis with us. She is the assistant general manager, and he was just saying every year you guys seemed out to yourselves, and you do. You've got a whole bunch of new additions right around us right now, but let's go all the way back to the beginning and when you realized this was something the customers really wanted. Yeah, I mean, the first year that we ever did it, it was just down in the bar, just a couple simple decorations, and nobody wanted to sit in the dining room, and we were like, oh. I guess we must move everything up here, kind of turn the whole place into a jingle bar. And so every year we just go bigger, bigger and bigger. And this year earlier? Yes, yes, two weeks earlier, in fact, actually. So I was stressing out about timeline, but we made it work. So we're still not quite done yet. We've got another full day of decorating, but yeah. Right, we should mention that you guys open tomorrow. Yes, we do. If you're looking to make a reservation, tomorrow is the first day that you'd be able to do so. If there's any openings, it's very popular, but maybe people aren't prepared for you guys to open early. So there might be some more spots to get in November. Okay, we're moving into where this all started, the Jingle Bar, which you've added here too. We were talking earlier, is there a space that isn't decorated? I think just the kitchen, honestly. I mean, we even put lights in the bathroom this year. So kind of everywhere you go, you're going to see some sort of Christmas happening. Okay, obviously, let's talk about the food and the drink. Because if you're coming, you want the whole experience. Yes. Tell us about your menu. Yeah, our menu's got a little bit of something for everybody. You know, we are a seafood restaurant, so a lot of our menu options do have seafood. But we do have, you know, great pasta, chicken options as well, something that you're really going to want for the winter. And, of course, festive drinks. And festive drinks as well. A whole fun menu event. Yes. Okay, there's two spots. So we didn't get to see your very favorite Polar Express room, which even the movies playing in there. Is that correct? Yes. Yep. We have the movie on a loop in there. Okay. And then outside you have a tented area. Yeah. We call it Frosty's Bar because it can be a little bit chilly out there. But yeah, Friday and Saturday we're going to have karaoke out there. It's seat yourself. So if there's not a table in here, you can get a table out there. Love it. Thanks so much for the tour.
