「藝術界遊俠」江振川：把家鄉畫成溫暖明亮的記憶
“Wandering Knight of the Art World” C.C. Chiang: Painting Home as Warm, Bright Memories
一位七十歲的畫家，會把家鄉畫成什麼模樣？
被譽為「藝術界遊俠」的畫家江振川，2023 年 11 月在嘉義市政府文化局文化藝廊舉辦「家鄉記憶－江振川七十創作展」。展覽以「家鄉記憶」為題，畫他成長的台灣與出生地嘉義：鄉野景致、林間小徑、溪流、漁港與在地人物，也有玫瑰、燻魚、石榴等生活裡的靜物。
開展前夕，我們先到江老師家拜訪；開幕當天，老師站在畫作前，用台語親自導覽。在《麻黃樹下》前，他說起午後悠哉的雞群：「人的心境如果能這樣，反而會過得很快樂。」

What does a 70-year-old painter’s hometown look like through his brush?
Known as the “Wandering Knight of the Art World,” painter C.C. Chiang (江振川) held “Memories of Home – C.C. Chiang 70th Anniversary Exhibition” at the Cultural Affairs Bureau Gallery (3F), Chiayi City, in November 2023. His works portray Taiwan, where he grew up, and Chiayi, where he was born: countryside scenes, wooded paths, streams, fishing harbors and local people, along with still lifes of roses, smoked fish and pomegranates.
We visited his home before the opening, and on opening day he guided us through the gallery in Taiwanese. In front of “Under the Casuarina Trees,” he spoke of chickens idling in the afternoon shade: “If people could feel like this, they would be much happier.”
